This is the best instruction I have ever watched. The fuel filter and the carbon filter tuition had been very clear even to myself (I'm not a mechanic). I'm feeling confident enough, after watching this video, to go right on and give it a go. 😊😊🎉🎉
Easy peasy 😎 Thanks 👍
After watching your illuminating presentation on filter replacement, I wonder if you might be so kind to advise me on another issue.
I bought an Audi A6 C6 2.7Tdi. I have no idea when or if ever the transmission fluid was changed. The car has high mileage (250k+). Is there a risk changing the fluid? How many filters are in this automatic gear box? Does it require computer aid. In the process?
Kind Regards,
Gerald Vaughan
The only experience with the automatic gearbox I have is the Powershift on my friend's Ford. All my cars had manual, and I try to avoid DSG (tiptronics and multitronocs) for simplicity and reliability.
I can't help you with this one. Sorry, Gerald 🙄
Of all the videos that I have watched on RUclips, yours is the best!!!! You are very clear and concise. You have a lot of patience!!
Thanks Lawrence :)
This is the second video I've watched of yours, and really, really enjoyed them both. Not only very detailed and informative, but very funny too - great sense of humour! Keep up the excellent work - the best I've seen! :)
Thanks :)
Excellent video, thanks so much for sharing - you saved me a bunch of money by doing the job myself!
Excellent video, Well explained and Super video, now i am sure I can replace the filters myself to safe a bit of money and thanks to WheelsAndMotors I have learnt some thing.Thank you for sharing.
Excellent detailed step by step really well explained.Thank You
Easy 😎👍
Good video. One tip I have used and it can be done with any CAF replacement. Apply a fairly liberal spray of some type of air freshener. I use FeBreeze myself and that is a reference. I apply the coating just before installing the new filter. You will get a nice fresh air scent for a few days. If you can’t bring the vehicle to Hawaii or your favorite tropical resort island.........bring the scent of that favorite island to the vehicle.
Nice one, thanks :) Definitely will try it next time!
Thanks a lot for your videos, youtubed so many things for my A6 and have always ended up searching for your channel and following your guides. Keep up the good work!
You're very welcome :) Unfortunately, currently I don't have that A6, so can't make any new videos about it. Hopefully, in the future I will be able to involve more cars into this WheelsAndMotors project, including A6.
Thank you for your nice videos. You are really an expert in Audi A6 stuff.

You're welcome :)
Just did the filters today, getting new ones in was easy, getting old ones out was a royal pita!
I suppose it also depends how tidy they were put in and long they have stayed there.
Dziękuje bardzo.
Na zdrowie :)
thanks
+Szycha Welcome :)
Thank you very much for the video. Where can I send you questions too? My situation is that a/c, cools and heats, but the air flow coming from the vets is weak even when is on lowest cetting for the cool air, as I live in hot climate. I'm gonna replace the cabin air filter to see if that helps! Thank you!
Hi Israel, changing cabin filter definitely helps airflow, especially if you didn't change for a while. If it's gonna be something else, you are very welcome to tell us about your trouble here - www.wheelsandmotors.com
Also I try to reply to all youtube comments. I'll be happy to help if I can :)
Thanks for the video. But can the dirty filter be washed or cleaned?
Because it seems this new filter is not the same quality as the factory fitted one.
Trust me - any new filter is much better than used "factory fitted". No matter how hard you try to clean old one it still will be clogged.
And talking of "factory fitted". I don't think that VW/Audi produce their own filters. There are many brands that do it, you can choose plain or with active carbon. By the way there's a brand that sells washable air filters. I never tried it, because they don't sell them in my local shops, but have a look on Internet.
How to clean condenser over flow
у тебя отличные видео обзоры мне очень помогает,я тоже с Латвии с какого города ты?
+Dmitrijs Jurkovs Спасибо! :) Я из Малты.. ( возле Резекне )
Very nice review man! I have a question. I would like to clean my cabin air and AC using a bottle of disinfectant spray. Normally, I just need to spray it into the cabin air intake at the bottom of the wind shield with the AC blower motor on. But I couldn't find where the cabin air intake is on my 2006 Audi A6. There doesn't seem to be any vents or intakes at the bottom of the wind shield. Can you point it out for me please? Thank you in advance!
Hi, I can't add images to this comment on RUclips, but I posted it on my website. Here is the link with the answer:

Got it mate! Thank you so much for your help!
I have 2007/2008 version can't find filter.
Even removed the hole side and claw apartment with audio system inside
Is it left or right hand drive? Maybe it's on the other side?
hey your all video very good and very help ful thanks i got question I got same car audi a6 2005 model and when I bought car was fine and going more than 80 or 90 miles ph very easy but now when I put 6th gare its not go more than 60 and keep cut down what could be promble thanks
Do you get this problem only in 6th gear? Maybe check yout EGR valve?
Here's video: How to replace and clean EGR valve and intake manifold on 2.0 tdi Audi A6 (C6)
WheelsAndMotors hey thanks for reply me bk .promble is my car not going more than 60 to 65 .that max go on even 6yh gear ? which spo to be go more than 80 to 90 easy ? on 6th gear ? my car not going more than 60 to 65 ?
adii akhtar My friend, even though I don't completely understand what you're saying, and what means "which spo" ;), I got the idea - your car can't go faster than 60-65 mph. You know, it's a car, it has many different parts and even more possible faults that make performance worse. Has it been serviced? Maybe clogged up fuel or air filter? Do you have any fault codes? Any pipes or hoses leaking? Electric connections faulty? Come on man "my car not going more than 60 to 65" isn't saying anything :)))
Is it worth to buy an expensive cabin filter or just a cheap one would be enough?
It's all up to you. I don't remember if there's massive price difference for filter for that car. Any filter you fit will do the job. More expensive ones have active carbon to clean air even better... Don't know how it works in real life. I based my choice on my current financial state.
@@wawayltd thanks man 😉 you a a star 🌟 👍
Why they would make a two piece filter is beyond me. Make a one piece filter and adjust the access panel to fit. Overall looks fairly simple. Also whatever the manufacturer service interval is for CAF I would at minimum cut that in half maybe 75% at most. Example 20K replacement. Inspect at 10K or 15K at most. If your in a high pollen area....(Northern Virginia/Washington DC metro area) you will probably be surprised at how dirty the filter can be in a short time.
Looks like UK is not that polluted.. I change it in longer intervals than recommended, filter still looks not too bad.
as the new models is the same way thanks
Do you mean facelift or C7?
I have Audi from 2009 and im just wonder if this filter will fit my audi...
I believe you have same filter (this model was produced since 2005 till 2011 (if you're talking about A6)), but the easy way to get it right would be - go to part selling shop and ask pollen filter for your model and year. If it's the same, then change it same way :)
I will check this filter my self later on I will remove one and I believe will be the same, we will see. Where are you from originally? as you have a bit eastern European accent if not sorry.
MrAnonimowo I'm from Latvia :)
Where you buy this filter??????
GSF car parts, Euro Car Parts, TPS, eBay or even dealership.... Lots of options.
@@wawayltd very thank you!!
@@dovydasbabilas5692 Very welcome 😊👍
Your old filters doesn't look that bad actually... looks like a carbon active filter which is much better that the ordinary paper one you replaced it with...
Yes, it wasn't too bad, I mainly done it for the sake of the video. Perhaps I change that a bit too often, because it's not that dusty abound here. Couldn't find filters with active carbon on that day - put some cheap ones ;)
знаю, я с даугавпилса!
+Dmitrijs Jurkovs недалеко..
My car has that under-panel still fitted so unfortunately you don't show how to remove it The reason it's missing is probably because someone broke it trying to remove it - it is a pig to remove!
Yeah, probably - I had this car second hand... Good to know, thanks :)
