You are confusing these with Chinese sky lanterns. Korean lotus lanterns are not 'launched' but just hung for decoration or carried at festivals.

They should pre-perforate diecut the paper holes so they can skip the razor knife process and just punch them out. Set the lanterns on a light table for easy alignment. Great video.
