I met Colton today and he is the sweetest, most humble guy even after all his success. He told the story of this audition and it just confirmed to me what a kind person he is.
The way Colton looks are Schyler when she's singing is so beautiful... You can tell how much he loves her just by that look that he gives her. I don't even have words.

It should've been him and Phillip. I wasn't a fan of Jessica. The judges were surprised he left when he did. I wish they used the safe on Colton and the next week it was Jessica who left. For my that season Colton, Hollie and Phillip were my favorites. I wasn't always a Phillip fan but he grew on me.
Just saying, it was rude for the judges, yes they wanted Colton to audition, but this was Schyler's moment. And I've been listening to Colton's songs, he's a great Christian artist! Amazing how God works in mysterious ways. And I really hope for the best for Schlyer, I know that God is working behind the scenes for her. :)
Can't believe this was 6 years ago! I saw Colton Dixon in Concert a few months ago and it was so worth the wait! Hopefully I can see him again sometime!
The cool thing about this whole situation is... God is awesome and has a plan. Colton didn't win the competition and was voted off WAY before I thought that he should have been but he is doing exactly what God wants him to Do! The competition was a spring board for what God has him doing now! I do not know what obligations he would have had if he would have won the competition but he would not have the freedom to do the worship and events that he is doing now due to contractual obligations! Thank you God for having your plan come to pass!

Me too. You could tell that the smile on her face during audition was put on. I thought it was really rude when they all have Colton this really enthusiastic hug, and then told skylar she would get one when she won. I think even Colton felt a little bit bad there.

I don't know this made me a little upset. Schyler came back to audition alone and to see if she was what they wanted. I love both of them and Colton is absolutely amazing. Yet they turned their attention to him and basically ignore Schyler. But yet Gods plan for both of them could be for them to go through this incredible journey together.
When ALL the judges sells their soul to gain fame. Colton kept his soul and dignity. Things don't always go as planned. Stay the way you are colton. God loves you and has big thingss coming your way.
He has grown so much since this audition! I love how he didn't even plan to audition but they put him through and look how far he got! I mean he may not have one like I thought he should of, I was very disappointed by the way cried my heart out, but to see how far he has come and he uses his stage to honor and glorify God! He is so incredible and for those who say he stole Schyler's spotlight he may have but it wasn't intentional or on purpose so don't be hating! He did a beautiful job in this audition and so did she but she still had areas where she needed some development she's young but with a voice like that, if she decides music is what she wants to do for life then she has a whole lot of opportunities to let her voice grow and once she does she will be incredible too in her own way!! Love you Colton!

the whole story is Colton had major pride issues during season 10 and he knew that was not the way the Lord wanted him to be. Like a week or so before Schyler's audition Colton decided to give a demo to one of his dad's now famous Christian singer buddies thinking that this was his lasglt shot in music because he didn't think that the Lord wanted him back at Idol. Well when the Christian singer friend turned down his demo Colton saw it as the Lord not wanting him to pursue music and he thought he was going to be a face painter for the rest of his life. The Lord litterally used Jennifer isn't that just amazing?!
I love Colton and Schyler!! The Script is one of my favorite bands, and Breakeven is my favorite by them! I love David Cook, Permanent is my 3rd/4th favorite! Colton today is my favorite singer!!! I love them both! Colton was hilarious at the end, and the judges saying "c'mon Colton!" And he just stands there like "Hmm what should I do....?" Lol! This was my favorite audition season 11!!!
