My depression was so bad because I was trying to please the world and not God. But this song helped me realize God is who I live for not me or anyone else. Please Lord take all of me. If anyone sees this I need prayer to stay strong. Depression is so hard to battle. But I know God can get me through this.
spend much time praising the Lord through anointed music--He gives you a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness.
I love the symbolism in this. We tend to build our own kindoms and when God knocks them down, we tend to become angry. But when we finally open our eyes we see that he has a greater kindom in plan for us.
But it also represents the Tower of Babel in the bible. :)
There is one person who was building correctly:

In Christ we are given life, the ability to walk on water, the warmth of the Son, and a hope for those who are are drowning in their tears. Someday we will all share room in a castle built upon the rock.
Something I have learned from our pastor, if you truly want to get close to the Lord, spend an hour a day in prayer. Set aside one whole hour, every day, at the end of which you will be in the Spirit! Feel the Holy Ghost and be speaking in tongues. It will destroy anxiety, give you peace and confidence! My wife and I have been doing this and hope it can help others.

Yes, I agree 100%....It's impossible standing without to spend a time with God...
But please keep in mind that it is not that easy to pray for an hour. Start small. It is better to be consistent and effective for 15 mins per day than try to spend a whole hour in prayer. Truth is sometimes the words dont come. Maybe part of that hour could be spent in praise and worship and Bible reading and as one becomes more consistent the Holy Spirit will assist your prayer and you can then find yourself praying longer. Dont want anyone feeling frustrated if they can't pray effectively for an hour. It takes time and consistency to build a relationship or a skill. Prayer is a skill it is a spiritual weapon that need to be developed to be its most effective. Be blessed.

If you're an American, have you ever seen paintings of our founding fathers? They wore wigs, tights, powder and makeup. Most would revere them as heroes.
Show me a scripture in the Bible that says doing any of this is wrong. Cultural norms change constantly; especially pertaining to dress.
I do not defend homosexuality in any sense. However I'll side with anyone who says "take it all, I surrender" to our Lord Jesus Christ any day, as opposed to one who bitterly states "he is wearing too much makeup and looks gay."

I got my friend, who's a Christian, into My Chemical Romance, and she's been telling me to listen to Colton Dixon, and it's much different than I thought it was. Now, I'm not a full on Christian, and by that I mean I'm not 100% sure about a God, but this is a lot better than than I first thought.

Since then, I have experienced miracles that others would call coincidence and my life's path has less worry that in the past. Strong Faith = Less Worry. I think a lot of people already commented about him not being gay, but I'd just like to say something. Many people are saying that you can be gay and Christian at the same time. I disagree. The Bible clearly says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, ... Will inherit the kingdom of God." This does not mean that if you've ever sinned you are going to hell. It means that if you continue in sin after becoming a Christian than you will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the good news is that when Jesus is in your heart, he helps you change. Ask the Lord for help to change and he will help you.
I'd also like to clarify that I don't think the man in the video is gay. Many people in theater were makeup, as other people mentioned.

Such as; eating pork (Leviticus 11:7), jewelry/fashion (Timothy 2:9), working on saturdays (Exodus 31:14-15), wearing clothing of mixed fabric (Leviticus 19:19)? It seems there is no clear distinction made in severity of these sins, meaning being a homosexual is no better or worse. I believe there are plenty of people who call themselves Christians and do one of these things.

This video is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Colton is a big inspiration for millions of people, including me. At first I didn't understand the video but the second time I watched it I understood it, the boy found something good, then his castle fell and he went underwater and found something better. There are better things in life then what you are focused on at the moment like TV, there are better things (if that makes sense)

I don’t know where he is in his walk with God and that’s not what is important, it’s not our job to judge it’s our job to love one another, be the light in the darkness. I’m not saying that it’s ok to be gay/bi exc, it’s a life style choice they had chosen, but God tells us to love unconditionally so that they will see the light in us and praise God in heaven and turn from wickedness. Their walk with God is not our concern we are all on a different area in our path to God. God can use anyone to reach hundreds even thousands or millions, saved or unsaved, God has a plan and his way is perfect. Don’t judge, just love them where they are at and show them the love of God, and let God change them.

I am not religious, but I am on a spiritual journey, and the key towards God realization is to empty yourself in terms of transcending the ego, the personality, which is limited and prone to change, in order to be intoxicated with the divine energy that is eternal and infinite and allow God to work through you, and this song beautifully explains that.
Jesus once said: "I only do the things I see my Father do, and I only speak what I hear my Father speaks." This is exactly what every spiritual master do... whatever they do or say, it does not come from the personality that they are, the ego, but from the divine, they dissolved their personality in the supreme consciousness and they have become that.
I'm pretty sure that all the people that is commenting here about him being "gay" has nothing to do with the fact that he is christian. What I can see is that VERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ART! People! This is supposed to be a THEATER REPRESENTATION OF WHAT HE IS SAYING ON THE SONG, AND NORMALLY IN THEATERS PEOPLE WEAR MAKEUP! Am I the only person who understands this music video? That guy decided to rake things into his own hands, he crafted his castle, but it ended up falling apart, like a sandcastle does as soon something as small as a wave of water comes along.

This song is very special to me! I was going thorough a very rough patch: I had gotten into a new church, was asked to be a kids minister, I had just lost my job and was doubting a lot of things. While in church that day my pastor said "we need to listen to those voices in our heads, the ones saying little things, that could be God whispering to you"... of course the message was lots more involved but after the service I got my kid went out to my car and sat down turning on the radio saying "okay God where do you want me to start?" and this song came on. 4 years later I am happy to say that I was the kids pastor for 3 years until a recent job had me starting to work on Sundays....It was the hardest thing to take that job and tell my pastor I can no longer do the kids ministry. My now 13 year old son won't let me change the radio station from KLOVE. Sorry that was longer then anticipated!!

(I'm very, very late commenting but...) If you think about it, the video could be more than just a reference to a particular verse/group of verses in the bible, it could be a reference to several different ones. I can see both the Tower of Babel as well as the man who built his house on the sand, but there could also be the "cast your crowns before Him" in/after the underwater scene? I know he didn't actually throw the crown on the ground but in a way, I still think it could apply. But in all honesty, I think it's meant to be based on your interpretation of what you relate each piece to. I could be wrong about this but regardless, it's a well-thought-out video and Colton Dixon is a very talented artist.
