Hi CARLOS, I would like to share how ‘toxic/extreme patriotism’ (chauvinistic type of patriotism) started among part Indonesians. It was started from first Indonesian president (Sukarno) who have big ‘dream’ to combine few countries in southeast asia under his power using ‘guided democracy’ (forceful ‘democracy’). He started his ‘ganyang Malaysia’ (crushed malaysia) campaign to boycott Malaysia. Sukarno launched this extreme campaign because he disagreed with Malaysia ways to claim back power to rule their own country (from Great Britain). Malaysia just want to govern their country without any control from Great Britain. Thus, Malaysia choose professional ways which are doing negotiations with Great Britain to claim power to avoid many lives killed again like past tragedy when British governors were sent to every states & they over-ruled sultans/kings position that time. That toxic ‘nationalism’ campaign (ganyang malaysia) shaped extreme ultra-patriotism values/personality/traits among some of Indonesians today.
I second...as there are the 1st to obtain independence from the colonialist...they pretend to be the big brother and malaysia are deserved to be envied, bullied by them. You will notice that since malaysia independence since 1957, our development has progressed far better than them especially in the year 1970s - 2000s.

According to Khoo Kay Kim, Malaysian historian, Malaysia was not colonized by the British. The British established themselves in Malaya only to mine and run rubber plantations which were all paid taxes to the Malay Kings. Japan also did not colonize Malaya because the institutions and functions of the Malay Monarchs were still maintained. The enemy of Malaya at that time was the communists who would abolish the monarchy system if they succeeded in conquering Malaya. The idea of a Malayan Union was sparked by the British when there was a problem with tax payments. The British were asked to withdraw from Malaya instead of Malaya demanding independence. Similar to Singapore. Singapore celebrated its independence as if it was independent from Malaysia, whereas Singapore was released in 1965. The idea of independence just merely a political stunt to gain trust from the people. In contrast to Indonesia, which was indeed colonized by the Dutch under the Dutch East India Company, these islands where there are no Indians are called the Indian Islands. The currency is still Rupiah and their flag was modified from the dutch flag. Malaysia and Thailand have never been colonized because of the Monarch government.
@@m73trlwell to think back, we are not really colonized, yes there are rules and ideology from the brits like divide and conquer were there but the government like the monarchs are still there, technically yes but like the professor said, we can call it independence from the brits as they did hold our economy back then before independence

Thank you for visit MALAYSIA
Wahhhh carlos sudah di malaysia...makan nasi lemak boskkut..makanan tradisional hehee
Thank you 🙏
It's great to welcome you to our humble Malaysia🇲🇾
Enjoy your stay ❤
Sorry about the taxi or online transportation
Due to heavy traffic in putra jaya and high demand during festive event a public transportation is the best solution or you can use rental cars/motor bike nearby
next time if u wanna go by MRT to Putrajaya Sentral, just pay for the token direct to ‘putrajaya Sentral’, not to ‘TRX’ station😅 Stay safe alwayss~😊
Welcome to Malaysia.. Happy merdeka day.... hope you having a nice time here.. don't forget to eat durian 😊... can't wait for your coming vlogs
When will you come back to Indonesia?
In around 1 month

Vlog ya kenapa belum tayang ?😔

It's illegal to lit fireworks. I guess it's independence day eve. Tqvm for the content of Hari Merdeka and eve of Merdeka.
We can apply for a permit for it in Malaysia and it needs to be done in a controlled condition. Safety aspects have to be in place such as fire extinguishers and people have to stand from a safer distance.
I get 2nd hand stressed becoz of the airasia app, grab and getting to mrt.. i feel you 😅

This is the first time Anwar Ibrahim celebrates Malaysia's Independence Day as the Prime Minister!
I heard he was just elected recently?! I even shaked his hand 😀 but the hat of the kid in front of me covered that scene a bit hehe
@@WildCARLOSappearedHe was appointed as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia on November 24, 2022 (Thanksgiving)! He had to wait for 24 years because he was fired from the Deputy Prime Minister post by the 4th (and 7th) Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad on September 2, 1998! This Saturday will be the 25th anniversary of his infamous firing!

Maybe grab driver just want to avoid putrajaya location because of the traffic would crowded, can used erl, mrt, lrt instead
because some netizens are racist, as a result this comment section becomes a misunderstanding between malaysia and indonesia.. for the master of this channel, you evaluate yourself later on how malaysia is in your eyes, and if you get the answer keep the assessment to yourself, malaysia and Indonesians are like dogs and cats..feeling they are the best..
Dimana², netizen Indonesia - Malaysia gk pernah akur😂
Anda benar sekali 😂😂😂😂
tiada yg peduli dgn bngsa iq gorila seperti anda😂😂😂😂😂😂
The last part, firecrackers that scared you & the smoke that choked you, so sorry for that!
Naah, I loved it actually 😀 I was just a bit concerned that there could have been some rockets shooting in my face / eyes accidentally
Nostalgic❤
Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾 🤗
Thank you! 🙂🇲🇾
I hope we show Mr. Carlos our Malaysian hospitality the right way. 🫠

4. Desa/perumahan (gak ada majlis resmi - Sambutan kayak dekorasi halaman rumah tercantik).
for the most of the end part you look like you're documenting a war 😂😂 thank you for your effort in documenting Independence Day
Mrt is the best choice travelling from one border to another town, due to distance n crowd expectations to present. E booking drivers not willing to go that far. Coz on return trip back to kl, driver may not get another passenger
20:26 itu yg sebelah kanan bang Carlos kalo gak salah kak shima dari channel nohas tv kah 😅😅
Oh aku masuk TV? 😅
Indonesia or malaysia better?
I hate both countries
From Malaysia is the best is the best country
Sabah 😍
What date the parade ?
Carlos exploring other southeast asian countries 👍Thailand,Phillipines,Singapore,Vietnam next maybe 😉
Next country Philippines, then India and Pakistan 🙏🏼
Carlos im happy u come malaysia 🤗
You should take MRT from the beginning, I'm not sure why it's not one of your option because MRT started operating at 4 am on that day and it's actually faster, other foreign youtubers are using MRT too 😂
Definitely! Lesson learned 😂
