    Loved this video, glad someone that isn’t a pro is making these informative videos. Easier for me to understand from someone that uses these everyday!

    I change hand position to change roll on ball, don't explain same as you but do most the same things, I am amazed at how many really good bowlers, cannot explain their release or use this method. just show bowler is game where one thing is not good for all, [except strikes lol] but many variations that one can use to be successful, each have to find that one that works for us and perfect it...........nice video I liked it depending on level where bowler is at much useful information you can apply to your game and get it to work for you......

    I have learnt so much about fingers and hands in 10 minutes with you, than I have ever known. I will now put it into practice. Great teacher, thank you.

    I just had the strangest experience. Background: hadn’t bowled in decades. Bowled a couple times earlier this year and it was good, so I got a ball. Working on learning the new throw. Game 4 tonight, not against anyone just for my own practice. 5 marks in first 5 frames, including four strikes! I’m getting it, the form is correct and the results show it.
    Then in the sixth frame, things felt a little odd…. as I released the throw I found my thumb was getting stuck. It had swollen up. The remainder of my throws were increasingly bad. Five marks, followed by five ugly open frames. Night ended there. But I’ll content myself with the progress made over the past few weeks.

      Great to hear. Good progress after lengthy time off and hitting marks and striking. Keep it up.💪 It’s not instant and takes a lot of work and sounds like you are on a good path.

      Thanks for subscribing.🙏 All is good here. It was just one of those days that was extremely busy and on a time crunch. And the alley happen to be really warm. I like my league alley more, I swear they have a fan on every pair👌. But had a good workout after the video was recorded. Even got into the Sauna before they closed...worth it.

    This video was helpful beyond words, especially in the part early on where you said that you could actually use your combined forefinger and middle finger as a type of ‘gunsight’ to aim at your desired finger. I’d always had questions specifically about placement of the outer fingers (index and pinky) on the ball and your video answered them succinctly. I will certainly experiment with this the next time I hit the lanes…especially before my mixed summer league starts a couple weeks from now. Thank you for the thorough instruction! 😎🎳

    Cool lights on those lanes! Why don’t they come up with different colors for lanes besides wood. White with different colors for arrows and dots.
    Even blue lanes with white markers etc.

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 месяца назад

      Could have been what was available. I have seen some blue lanes with white markings on the web. The lights are normal for leagues but they put it to that for all other times.

    Show closeup still or slow-mo at release of each of your different positions. At address it don't matter so I would like to see it at release.

    Great info and same stuff I've tried explaining to a couple people. It's hard to convey. Cool that you're in Japan, too. I was wondering why the loud releases could be heard in the background - are the heads really that dry on the lanes?

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 месяца назад

      Ya I try to simplify and explain everything to make it more sense…I’m more the visual learner and can explain the best this way. Hope it helped. Background noise might have been cuz I tried muting the background music making the other bowlers louder. It was easier to hear me but some noises were amplified. Yes they can be, they don’t oil much on those lanes except for league and right before the weekend. There’s been times my 3.0 hooks immediately than has nothing left at the corner. Sometimes go without oiling for 5 days. Kind of annoying when I want to practice and I almost have to make a reservation just to have a fresh pair.

      You’re welcome for the tips. Bummer it’s last season. And you have stat from this league. If you finished with 170 avg…improve on it a bit. Even if 171 progress is being made. Good luck out there…roll true.

      @@dalewilliams6440 pretty good for a first season. It will start clicking and your average will go up. Focus a bit more on spares shot cause we ain’t going to strike every time. 9 / spare all game is a 190. Strike for show…spare for dough💪 best of luck

      @TillysAdventures yes true and force on my arm throwing too. I need to work on my arm to keep touch my rib cage. I talked to the pro shop. He helped me. I still watching some bowling tips to help me

    • @TillysAdventures
      @TillysAdventures  3 месяца назад +1

      @@dalewilliams6440 what’s been helping me is timing drill (4 step) it makes me slide, plant then come through with my arm. I’m not trying to catch up in swing and it improved my accuracy as well. For arm throw and keeping elbow tight. Remember your arm is a pendulum and keep ur pinky finger bushing against ur leg for a couple throw. It will be uncomfortably to tight (kind of like an overcorrection) but when u do full swing your arm will be in sync with your shoulder.

    The pinky tip is YUGE for me. I tend to dump the ball on the pinky side and get too much tilt. A few weeks back I saw a similar breakdown and now with me remembering to keep my pinky out I am able to stay up the back way more gooder. The hardest part now is coming up with a different excuse of why I am bowling like crap....
