Every now and then I go down the Turmoil rabbit hole. The Process Of is one of my top 5 records of the 90s. It’s 2024 and it still holds up unbelievably strong. Love it!

I first heard these guys on a Century Media CD sampler in the mid 90's and I wasn't ready for it. I was too big on skate punk. I thought I'd revisit them after almost 30 years....I'm ready for it now. I'm more pissed off at the world at 41 than I was at 13.

I remember seeing them in Erie, PA in or about 1995 and I couldn't believe how tight they were, and the best most savage vocals! From Bleeding Hands is a hardcore masterpiece.

I’ve loved these guys for so many years. Changed my guitar playing forever. Met and played a show with them in the early 90’s, before process of came out and was instantly hooked.

Gula rockin' the BURN shirt is amazing... Another great 90's hardcore band. Saw The Kiss of Death (aka Turmoil with a different drummer) open for Turmoil in like 2006. Best show ever. Saw The Kiss of Death at a record shop in 2005, too. Underappreciated.

Wow I miss this band they kill one the best extreme hardcore band I've heard. I'm more of a metal guy put really there's not much of difference it crushes either way.

Totally agree man. There's this whole new "metalcore revival" but they only sweat the bands Code Orange and Vein say they listen to - Disembodied, Kickback, etc. Good bands for sure, but totally overlooking so much good shit, like these guys. This era of hardcore had so many gems. I don't know if you were around in the early 2000s but people kinda hated on this band. I don't get it.
I'd love to see a Lickgoldensky reunion.

Does anyone know what tuning these guys play in?
It's basically a Drop D tuning, but all strings are tuned down half a step from standard. Technically Drop C#. The intro to Let it Die is a dead giveaway of that open C# chord!
