Thank you. The engine is considerably louder down the other end of the boat. That's why I can't do commentary whilst actually cruising. I wish I could ride at the front now and again. :-)

Thank you for another great stress buster. Couldn't help noticing that your camera was struggling with the changes of light at times. A problem easily fixed with a home made lens hood, I have made these myself at times. A length of cardboard tubing ( centre of a kitchen roll or something similar, depending on the diameter of your lens casing) cut as long as possible to cast shade on the front element of the lens but short enough not to cause vignetting. two small holes on either side of the tube, put a rubber band through both of these holes around matchsticks or similar, on the inside of the tube and then put the rubber band around the camera to hold the tube in place. I have only used this for still photography but I cannot see why it would not work for video. It was great for compact cameras that had no mounting for a lens hood.
Thank you. Yes, that's probably worth a try. I've got lots of lens hoods. It's just a matter of attaching them, and avoiding vignetting...
Just something that I used to do when I mounted two compact cameras on a self made mount ( back in the good old/bad old days of 35mm film ) to make stereo photographs and found it annoying that I could not get the accessories for these cameras, that I had gotten used to using on my SLRs.

It can get very overgrown.
When are we getting the next installment about your life on the canal..... In fact.. you might be the narrow boat channel with the longest history afloat.. you could narrate some great stories from your earlier years.. before good solar power..... some of your adventures. Disasters. ... how to live cheaply. .. your sitting on a goldmine of experience. . A bit more practice talking to the camera you might be on to a real earner. ... basically talk to us like we are really interested but really stupid... I'd watch .. I find you a nice interesting bloke 😊
