I have the exact same bike here in the UK . I am over 80 years old and like you have had cancer . I can't ride a regular bike far so this Ancheer is wonderful for me . I use it daily and have done 500 miles already . No problems at all . Like you I use level one so I get a gentle workout . They are amazing and look good too . I wish you many more happy miles sir . Best wishes from Thomas in the UK
Thanks Roy. I am 67 and fortunately in good health. Your upbeat outlook and gratefulness for being able to get out and exercise, see the country, enjoy life is very uplifting. Good luck to you. I have been thinking about getting one and now I probably will! See you on the road!!
I have one and I also have one lung. I smoked for 55 years. Like you I ride between 10 and 15 miles everyday I can. What a difference in my breathing. It’s what’s keeping me moving. Great bike for the price. I am 73.
Roy, your positive, calm and appreciative manner are a delight. I started watching this video to learn more about the bike and stayed because of you. Thanks for reminding us all what life’s about.
Your video brought me great joy. Good for you! I am 65 & build motorized & ebikes in my shop also they are my only transportation by choice. I am going to buy one of those next payday. Bless you.
Really inspiring video, sir. Your story is uplifting and one can hear your contentment in your nonstop monologue. Great job for one lung and continued pedaling! God Bless you.
Roy, what an inspiration you are. I have one of these bicycles shipping to me as I type and I have been worried by many negative comments, from people who have not ridden one I might add, online. But this video made me feel so confident in this bicycle. I have ordered it to lose weight following a period of inactivity due to health and I cannot wait to get out there. Thank you for being so positive and informative!
Thanks Roy! I have had the folding model for 2 years and I love it! I enjoy the freedom of being able to take in the scenery and get some exercise. The bike is heavier than a normal bike though so if you use strictly your peddle power it will be taxing. (55 in june). You feel like a kid again.
I got my ebike recently because of videos like this. I love it so much, I originally bought it to do shopping at my local but now i use it whenever i can even just riding around for fun. I recommend them highly even the cheaper models are great but I suggest saving up and spending at least $1800-$2200 on a mid-level bike with a mid-mounted motor because they work so much better especially up hills. Great video!
Good on you Roy .Great attitude you have .Getting out and about is great for the body and mind. Thoroughly enjoyed your video .Greetings from Scotland x.
Thank you for this great video! I have watch several today, and not one gave me the info you did! We purchased the Ancheer Electric Bike 500w. Just got the battery fully charged, and was not able to get the bike to turn on. We did not realize you had to push the button on the BATTERY first, then push the button on the mode control!! It may seem crazy, but the bike does not come with a manual, and I was not able to download one, and it is Sunday. Not having a bike manual shipped with the bike was disappointing. Took the bike for a ride and love it so far. Thank you Roy, and continued good health to you!!
You Sir, are a gentleman! I've been looking at eBikes for some weeks now, specifically the Haibike Trekker range, but they are incredibly expensive. I've seen the Ancheer on Amazon, it's pretty much the cheapest full-size eBike I could find anywhere. Your endorsement may very well sway me to the Ancheer over selling half my soul to be able to afford a Haibike.
Wow! I bought an Ancheer a couple days ago because it looked like a good fit for me on my 73rd birthday, mainly because we have a lot of hills around here that defeat me on my mountain bike. I am in fairly good shape for my age but I am limited in where I can go on a bike. Your video greatly encourages me. Thank you!
*Hey, I brought a 250W one from Amazon on May 1, 2020 for $657.19, because I didn't want to use anymore manual bikes to get me from the house to the job & from the job to the house, since May 1, 2020 to-date I've had two collisions with vehicles & the most recent crash on my way to the job was only one week ago & it was a nasty crash, I thought I was going to be killed, but thankful God arranged it where instead of impacting the vehicle in the front which would've been deadly, I God arranged it where I hit the vehicle on the side, my body & my Ancheer bike experienced physical damage, my bike handlebar was twisted, the front fork got twisted too which took great strength / force to do, my bike light got broken off, my battery got ripped off & was laying in the street with my body & one of my steel-toe boots, but nonetheless I still fixed my bike on the sidewalk to the best of my abilities & I rode it to the job.... Anyway, I rode it 30 miles, 14 miles, etc the frame is heavy, solid & after two collisions with vehicles it's not bent far-less cracked in anyway, shape, form, or fashion, presently I happily say I still ride it to the job, market, etc & regardless to the different wattages I would happily recommend the unfoldable Ancheer to anyone.*
thanks for the review. Doc is always nagging me to excerize. I have been shopping reverse trikes. Now I'll give this a good look. At the wrong side of 80, e-bikes make a lot of sense.
Roy, I am 67 and found the same joy in my Ancheer Mountain E Bike. I have a bad knee and can't pedal a regular bike, but the pedal asst. in the low range make me feel like a kid again.
Very fine video. Bought one about a month ago and love it. I was diagnosed with a lung problem (IPF) a few yrs back & biking, which I once loved became very problematic this past year. This bike changed that, it is a miracle. I now ride for 1-2 hrs 5x week. A few fact I have found. The battery will last 2 1/2 hrs + at low- medium pedals assist setting. That will get you 15-18 miles with some power to spare. Recharging takes about 5 hrs. Love this bike, Viagra for the lungs. :-)
looking at this here in Ireland, your a man after me own heart i have a eye on a ebike a while now, most of the bikes i was looking at cost 5000 euro way out of my budget.i have to beautiful bike in the spare room gathering dust if i could sell one i'd but a bike like that ,thanks for the heads up great video ,best of luck in the future keep turning those pedals.
I have had this exact bike since early 2018, used it a lot for work during the cruise ship season at the cruise terminal where I worked, perhaps I seen you on your tour? I have to completely 100% agree with your thoughts on this bike, it gets Me up really steep hills, as My house is on a huge hill although for those not familiar with Scottish Hills it would likely seem like a mountain.Thank you for doing such a nice review for this bike, it deserves it. I encourage people to go buy one on Amazon while stocks last.
Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I find it very relaxing and no stress physically. After a couple of weeks give a shout back as to how things are going.
Fantastic bike, ordering mine very soon, i too will add fenders, softer seat and a luggage rack, i will also install tyre sealant for puncture resistance.
Mine shuts down about ten minutes after riding it----any ideas on how to fix it??? If I unplug the battery and plug it back in most of the time it starts back up--any ideas out there?
I've had my anterior bicycle 350 watt motor on it for a year-and-a-half one problem I have had is the control box heats up and melts wires easy fix if you know what you're doing but that's the only problem I've had and I put a thousand miles on it easily
I am 69 years old and I have wrote a Trek for years. But I'm getting to where I have problems with hills. After watching your review and one other I decided to buy this bike. I bought it online from Ancheer and got it in 4 days. I am just learning, one question II have is do you let the battery go all the way down or do you top it off after you ride. Thank you for your awesome video. The bike was easy to put together and and now I'm looking for a rear luggage rack.
hi Roy, great review on the E- bike. Was wondering where did you purchase your bike accessories and hw much did they cost, can you post a link to that please? thanks
I am looking for bottle holders for this bike, Any suggestions here, please. I went to the local bike shop and they suggested one to hold on the handlebar , but I personally don't like to keep a lot of stuff on the handlebar .
Mine will be here in a couple days, I'm almost 60 and by the end of a 10 hrs shift my feet hurt so bad I can hardly walk. I need some recreational exercise because I quit smoking after 42 years a few months ago. I bought a mountain bike a month ago and its like riding a torcher chamber Down the road ! Very nice review sir
I'm disabled. And looking to buy as my main transportation. I have to workout all the time. I like to ride again. Crippled from a stroke. But recovering
Nice review Roy. I have added this bike in my Amazon Cart and waiting for reviews about it before I can proceed. Now you have given all the positives about this bike. Question I have is can I install the accessories by myself if I purchase them online?
Thanks and please excuse the wind noise. Didn’t realize it was there until I posted and listened to the video. Shows it real though. Thanks for watching.
Really nice video. My husband and I purchased ebikes last week, will be ready for pick up at the end of the month. I was having second thoughts about it but your video helped me realize that i can still ride and ebike even with disabilities. Thanks. May I ask, where did you purchase the seat?
I bought this for my grandfather and had it delivered to his gravestone.. I went back the next day, and everyday after -- the bike was never there. I think he really enjoyed it.
Hi Roy, Just watched your video and thanks it was very informative, I have just ordered the same bike tonight mainly on your coments .can you tell me which rear rack you purchased, Many thanks Martin
With the speed these can go, make sure your brakes are good. Most bike shops that build the higher priced electric models grease / oil the internal brake cable. I would bet these low price models do not. There are devices that can clamp on to the brake cable and inject oil from a can. Grease / oil in the cable will make the brakes work much better.
No problem go to www.ancheer.shop and on main page you will see the 26 inch mountain bike, top left. Read specs 250 watt motor. 36 volt, etc. should be easy to locate. Right now you can get $20.00 more off with the code.
Awesome I have one myself and love it. I think everyone will have an electric bike in the future. Excellent job on the review and Video! But quick question where did you get that rear bike rack and can you link it below when you get a chance. Thank you much appreciated!
Purchased the mirror off eBay. I modified it by opening the base and using a tie wrap to strap it on. It was normally made for a handle bar install. Cost was around 6-7 dollars. Hope this helps.
Roy great video/Can you tell me in LBS the weight of this e bike/ how heavy is it/where to purchase the the finders / seat / back light / etc /Hope you are doing well Thanks Rob
Riding in low power peddle assist I can go for 30-40 miles before recharging but using throttle full electric I can get 15-18 miles. That equates to 4 hours of steady riding. For seniors that's a lot of bike time in one session. Hope this helps.
I am 5’ 10’ and when I am on the bike I barely touch the ground of the seat straddling the bar. The seat is adjustable and would be no worries for even a taller person. Just mean you may have to lean forward a little more for the handle bars. You can go the Ancheer.com and get the exact specs on the overall height. Hope this helps.
I have gone 30 miles with no problems. Still had power left. I believe I can get close to 40 miles on the low power peddle assist. Really easy and definitely a joy to ride, I have only used or needed three of the gears. When climbing hill I drop down a gear or two and still make the hills with ease.
@@roymccollum7515 Sears online has an Ancheer E bike for less than $300. Seems like this is too low, Amazon and Walmart both sell it for just over $600. Seems a bit fishy to me.
Mike Morales Mike I think you would find they make it up in shipping and handling costs. I looked at it but it won’t give a final price until you cart it and get ready for check out. Look at the Ancheer it was 599.00 plus about 80 dollars for oversized shipping. That’s the one I purchased. Look at Ancheer.com and see what they are selling for. A little easier to get support direct from them.
Glad to see this bike has help you so much. It is a cheap bike though. If it dies on you, the market has some much better ones. Check out the Magnum Ui6, Amego Infinite, Rad City or Voltbike Bravo just to name a few. All of those come with better motor, battery and bike components and with full fenders and a rear rack. Also, most of those models have step-thru versions which make them easy for older people to get on and off. Happy riding!
The phone holder came from amazon. The phone holder will fit any style of phone. I use an app called Strava. It connects with you phoned gps and maps you ride plus gives you average speed, distance and time. Very nice app good as mapping where you rode and puts it on a google type map. Works fantastic.
Warning: Ancheer's warranty means nothing. I have the 500 watt model 26" model. The pedal assist is defective, PAS1 goes 18mph, and they won't fix it. You have been warned.
Ordered bike 3 weeks ago, can't get info when I will get it! VERY UNHAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE!!!!! I AM 78 YEARS OLD, DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE LEFT TO RIDE!
Herb, I’m almost 78. You only have today to ride. Tomorrow you will again have today to ride. All we get is one day at a time. At our age we can’t afford to waste our days worrying about tomorrow. One day at a time is all we ever get. I hope you got your bike and are riding it all you want to. I’ve had one for two years. It gives me biking again, Best wishes. Aubrey

I have COPD and nerve damage in my back. I can't wait to get back on a bicycle again. I ordered one like you have

There are plenty of bottle holders on eBay or other bike shops. Google bike bottle holder and you will find many.
What seat is that please
could you please put a link to the bag holder on the back and the fenders for where to get them, thanks!
where did you get the splash guards?

I've put this on my list
I’m gonna Ancheer too
Is this the 250w motor? If so would you get the 500w now that you've owned it for a while?
Nice review Roy. I have added this bike in my Amazon Cart and waiting for reviews about it before I can proceed. Now you have given all the positives about this bike. Question I have is can I install the accessories by myself if I purchase them online?

Hi Roy. Where did you get the gel seat ? And what's the name of it ?
Thank You for this!
nice bike
I bought this for my grandfather and had it delivered to his gravestone.. I went back the next day, and everyday after -- the bike was never there. I think he really enjoyed it.
What in tarnations!? WElcome to the family BROTHER.
Hi Roy, Just watched your video and thanks it was very informative, I have just ordered the same bike tonight mainly on your coments .can you tell me which rear rack you purchased, Many thanks Martin
Martin Delaney , I purchased it from E-bay for $15.99 search on 60kg by rear bike rack.

Mr. McColum,
Never seen that style of mirror, can you provide info on that? Price and where you got it.
Thanks

Sweet thank you.

i got mine from amazon. paid 600 for it.
Hey Roy! about how long does it last before recharge Roy?
Riding in low power peddle assist I can go for 30-40 miles before recharging but using throttle full electric I can get 15-18 miles. That equates to 4 hours of steady riding. For seniors that's a lot of bike time in one session. Hope this helps.
AFAIK this bike only comes in one size, I'm 6ft and worry that it would be too small for me. How tall are you and how do you find it for size?
I am 5’ 10’ and when I am on the bike I barely touch the ground of the seat straddling the bar. The seat is adjustable and would be no worries for even a taller person. Now have hit the 900 mile mark and no issues. Still enjoy riding and having good exercise.
I am a truck driver and have scoliosis.
Very good video good job.
What is the phone or tablet holder on the bike? Where did you get that?
The phone holder came from amazon. The phone holder will fit any style of phone. I use an app called Strava. It connects with you phoned gps and maps you ride plus gives you average speed, distance and time. Very nice app good as mapping where you rode and puts it on a google type map. Works fantastic.
Great video! Is this the ANCHEER power plus one?! :)
Not the plus one, the just call it a mountain bike.
tracker device?
I use an app on my IPhone called Strava. Fantastic app. Gives me time, speed and maps my complete ride. I can then save it and name the file.
Do you still recommend this bike ?
Still riding and enjoying it. Still no problems.
You take care. Of the bike and it will take care of you. Still riding and still loving it
Where did you get those nice fenders sir?
Fenders came off of eBay. They are plastic and adjustable. Not expensive. Come in there colors also. Make sure the rear one has the adjustable links.
Roy McCollum can you post a link to the fenders and the stuff you add to it I just order mine today
rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F333217423317 is the link for the fenders.
Unplug the restriction
Warning: Ancheer's warranty means nothing. I have the 500 watt model 26" model. The pedal assist is defective, PAS1 goes 18mph, and they won't fix it. You have been warned.
Saw you post this on another vid. Fck ancheer. Ima help you spread the word.
Ordered bike 3 weeks ago, can't get info when I will get it! VERY UNHAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE!!!!! I AM 78 YEARS OLD, DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE LEFT TO RIDE!
Herb who did you order it from.
Aubrey
