Quite ready to face off everything - including 3 very bemused huskies! The little sod knew no fear or common sense! Bonny, on the other hand, is a little darling.

Hi Heidi. Love the channel and just bought you a few rums. Raised in the UK but now live in California you’re allowing me to (re)appreciate the beauty and history of the UK. Sadly I took it for granted when I lived there but now when I visit the UK I stay near the Kennet and Avon and insist on walking the in-law’s dog alongside the Caen Hill locks in Devizes. Good luck and thanks for this wonderful channel.

Hi Heidi, really hope you have a fabulous adventure in Europe, little tip we learnt on our boat, use the cold ash with water to clean the glass of soot, takes out all the hard work of cleaning it off, when you get back perhaps try that trick. Oh yes the sill or the ledge, usually at the up-water end of the lock, can go dry when the water is lowered such that your boat can get caught on that sill or ledge. Not a good thing! Excellent descriptions of all of that, Heidi. What a fun thing to watch that 60 seconds tick off ... brilliant! Nikki is gorgeous, and obviously knowledgeable and competent, and a really good friend! I am a descendant of a Mutineer living in the South Pacific and live on a great island. But have to say I have enjoyed watching clips on Narrow boats and have just taken a journey on yours. Fantastic footage, commentary and of course love your dog. I had Google maps up and running each time you mentioned a stop and wow. This is a bucket list thing for me now...just have to convince my beautiful wife that we need to do a Narrow boat trip. Thank you for you clip and will be watching for more.

They transition lenses so only go dark if the sun is on them …. You often get blinded on the canals especially in winter when the sun is so low in the sky 😃🏴☠️
