Such a wonderful spirit that he brought to his music. I can’t think of a time when his music wasn’t in my heart! We are blessed to have him through his music, which will make him live in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace Señor Mendes.

One of Sergio's great legacies is his album - Brazil 77 - Primal Roots. I still have the vinyl that went out of print for decades, then appeared in CD format. It was a huge departure from how th world was initially introduced to his music.
