- Raccoon Baby Screaming for Mom on the Roof!
Raccoon sometimes spelled racoon.
The raccoon is the largest of the procyonid family,
having a body length of 40 to 70 cm and a body weight
of 3.5 to 9 kg.
Its grayish coat mostly consists of dense underfur
which insulates against cold weather.
Two of the raccoon's most distinctive features are its
extremely dexterous front paws and its facial mask,
which are themes in the mythology of several
Native American tribes.
Although captive raccoons have been known to live over 20 years,
their average life expectancy in the wild is only 1.8 to 3.1 years.
In many areas, hunting and vehicular injury are
the two most common causes of death.
awww the baby's call got really screechy when mom appears she was like all emotional "mom!! where were you.. Mom there u are" lol
I started tearing up when the mom popped her head up. I'm glad she got her sweet lil baby!
The most disturbing is that a human prob put the baby there for views. 🤬
@@sk8ercaligirl Oh, good point.
@@sk8ercaligirl Always a sad possibility...
I used this video to identify the sound coming from under my home. Thanks! Now I know I have raccoons.
Heard this at 3am this morning in my apartment hallway. Opened the door and saw this baby raccoon on the steps between the first and second floor resting his front paws and chin resting on one step and his hind legs one step lower. He stopped chirping as soon as I opened the door and just sat there staring at me with his cute little masked face.
Chuck R Aww! I love Raccoons! They are soo Cute!
yes!!! the same thing has been happening to me, I hear them whine and move around so much to the point where I can't sleep since I sleep on the ground!
Just heard it in my vents 🥲
Same here!😁
Mothers of ALL kinds have to be able to solve ALL kinds of problems...Glad for the rescue!
Such relief to see Mamma come save the day! Poor little guy, so scared & alone up there. Such adorable whinnying, though. Who wouldn't try & help such a precious critter?
Well if the mom is there, you don't want to touch it because your sent might cause the mother not to come back for it.
Learning Planche That's a myth, but not disturbing wildlife is still good advice
@@josephevans1490 that's a myth, most animals don't care
Poor baby, we live in the mountains and have 11 raccoons we feed every night. I know this sound well. There's always 1 that's scared to come on the porch or eat with his siblings. So he's crying on the side.
Bless your heart and soul for feeding them.. I get SOOOO sick of hearing people say "let mother nature take care of itself", but even mother nature needs a lil help too... ❤️😘😘😘😘
Make it that much easier to get rid of em when the time comes😂
Ohhhhh, how I LOVE BLACK MAGIC!!!!! 👊🏼
Raccoon mom popping up is sooooo cute 🥰🥰
I was so happy to see the mom come back to get the baby
Me too!
Right? I know!
I love racoon in a forest but hate them in a city.Who has a childrens, dogs or cats knows what I'm talking about.
slav707 I have a dog and a cat and I don’t really know what you’re talking about.
Plot twist, it was a male trying to eat it
and I thought I was bad at avoiding school.
honestly What?
I was sooooooooo happy to see mumma's head poke up at the end as she carefully got him down.... Nothing compares to a mother's love
Everyday at 2 pm I hear this noise. It’s sound like it coming from my roof but there are no holes or entry. The critters are somewhere but cannot find them. Thanks for helping me identify these sounds!
Poor little guy, heartbreaking, the mother came, and happy:)
Raccoons can be cute if they trust you
you would,nt think they were so cute when you see what they do to the young of other animals, if they find a nest of kittens ,rabbits ,birds they will eat what they can and kill the rest just because ! they need to be eradicated !!!!
Jane Book So will cats, rabbits, and birds...
@@herroyalsquirrelness8167 Humans take the cake in killing all of them. Sometimes for no reason.
@@DA-js7xz Not surprising, considering we out populate a vast majority of species on the planet. We also are the only ones with a system of breeding our food and so forth.
Other animals kill for no reason sometimes too. I still don't think it is okay that humans do it for no reason or stupid reason, though. If we have a higher level of consciousness, then we should have evolved past that. But, of course there are the defects, I guess. Sucks.
Jane Book we literally do the same thing. Wtf do you think lamb chops is
She's a good mama.
What a cutie!. Where's Mom?
Adorable ♥️😍
:-)
Where were you during the vid? lol watch til the end, it’s worth it
The baby raccoon calls her mom and her mom shows up. Obviously, the raccoons mother is a wise animal. I think it is the Country's responsibility to guard the animals well being and healthy.
This is so cute and wholesome.
Drags him unceremoniously over the roof, lol.
Amazing mother, great video. I wonder how the little baby got onto the roof, like all babies they are curious.
Aw how Very gourgous, the sweetest thing, wonderful!
As Stewie Griffin said, "I'm a roof baby now!"
How was this filmed? They don't seem too worried about the cameraman and the little one doesn't acknowledge anybody. Was it a remote security cam that you controlled in real time?
Just curious.
They chirp like birds, had no idea.
This just reminds me of a little baby raccoon we found in the woods, crying for its mom, all alone.
We named it Smol Bean.
It died a few days later. I wish we could've done something to help.
Next time please call a wildlife rescue 💔😭
At least try a prescription appetite stimulant applied inside the ear. I am assuming it didn't drink much and got weaker and weaker. You can also make a burner email and contact animal control to ask for options.
@@hicknopunk Why a burner?
@@LittleLulubee well, unless you research the law, a lot, who knows what actions they might force on you. On the other hand, they are the best resource to contact in many areas as they know EXACTLY who you should contact. You might have to use the burner email so they cannot force you to turn the animal over to be destroyed. They are a "pest" animal here, so groups are required to have you turn the raccoon over to them by law and have to kill it by law. Not to mention possible legal consequences you could face, we live in a silly world now. It's just safer, unless you know the laws and hopefully animal control knows you by name, they bend all the laws if they know you enough to feel they trust you. I have to deal with aggressive feral dogs attacking livestock or report a black bear or something.
That wildlife rescue thing might be good to use if your area has that, for that animal.
Oh and shhhhh, I might try to illegally relocate them away from people myself since I am kinda supposed to kill 'em...😓
In the age of Google and tons of resources, there is no excuse. Call a wildlife rescue.
Raccoons are mischievous. And dangerous. But they are so cute
Alternative title: Man watches as baby raccoon is mercilessly dragged off of a roof.
Aww such an adorable baby !!
poor raccoon.just breaks my heart.im almost crying.
I can only imagine how your heart breaks for the millions of human babies around the world suffering from various things too ,it really must be a really emotional time for you isn't it?
cutest little chirps! 😍
Awwww so cute😍😍☺️☺️
Raccoons are my favourite animals cuz they are so cute
Hi there, my name is Darren from the BBC in the UK. We are making a childrens wildlife TV show about urban wildlife and we are using clips people have filmed.
We were hoping you could give us permission to use this clip in the show.
Many Thanks,
Darren

No you can't
d magi savage
@@anythingatall7670 oh come on now😆
It broke my heart to hear the little fella cry!...
Mama was using her stealth mode to get 'em! Good mama!
How did this baby end up on the roof by itself?
Baby raccoons develope motor and climbing skills faster than human children, so baby raccoons can climb and keep up with mom.
Da Muller that's what I thought during the video to! :D
Da Muller the mom left it where no predators were to go look for food.
Maybe it fell out of a tree branch hanging above the roof?
The mother probably carried it up there
AWESOME VIDEO! GREAT CAMERA! EVERYTHING WAS CRISP, N CLEAR! ALL THE COLORS WERE, VIBRANT WITH LIFE..
Urban raccoons are getting to become a real problem to some rural areas.
They were here first so learn to live with them. Number one always keep garbage secured, and if they do get into your home call a humane removal place. They are great, I love having them as urban neighbors. They are charming and quite funny to watch.
You're a kind soul Brandt McCall
Brandt McCall too bad the same logic couldn’t be applied to indigenous people you “beautiful soul”.
Hearing a raccoon fucking s c r e a m outside your window at 11 at night is the single most terrifying thing to occur if you dont know what the sound is
when the other raccoon came up over the side of the roof I was like "the colossal titan..."
I'm living in the attic i guess
2degucitas omg
I don't remember posting this and I don't know what it means.
I must have been too busy dragging my kids thru a hole in the roof.
Damn I was afraid it'd sound like that. 3 babies and no mama in a tree in my yard. Just screaming for her to comeback tonight 😟
Did she come back?
I have a baby in my Attic. She woke us up screaming
I know it happened a long time ago, but I hope the mother came back 😩
❤❤❤Moms unconditional love.. so beautiful
For three minutes: "Mom! Mom! Mom! Save me from the roof!"
Mom shows up: "Ok, come here."
"NO!" and clings to roof. 😆
Thats so friggan adorable!!!
Baby raccoon: "MoMA? MoMA? MoMA?! I'm scared, there's a human up here and I think I peed myself a little and he's laughing at me MoMA?! MoMA?!"
MOMMYS RULE!!
Quiet!! and come now!! I gottcha!
Goddamn its so adorably fluffy
Like my mother would say! Get down, the way you came up! :P. Scream all you want! you got up there little fella.. Now get back down hehe.
Ngl that was pretty hilarious at the end.
We had 3 baby raccoons like this one get stuck on a wooden fence and basically do this same thing, except they all fell down then would climb back up then fall back down. The mom went to bed she got so tired of trying to coax them down to their home under our patio.
Now they’re a little smarter and stick closer to her every night, got some interesting video of the incident
AAAAAA
SOADORABLE
I GOT SCARED WHEN IT WALKED TO THE EDGE
poor baby...
It sounds like it’s actually saying “Mom! Mom!”
I want to cry the sound of the Raccoon is cute 😭💔 my heart hurts
Mommy to the rescue!🐾🦝🐾💗
This helped me there was two of them and I was awake to 4:35
I had a baby raccoon and they can be trouble but they can also be really sweet
These poor poor vulnerable animals!!!! Such a cruel world we live in..!! 🥺
I never , ever have children again! Believe me, she thinks.
Poor little baby ☹️😭💖💖
Sound works great for calling them in and getting them to peek out from the trees, added it to my hunting playlist.
Maybe now I'll be able to save my chickens from these little buggers, and fill the freezer to boot.
What a peculiar sound. Still pretty cute.
Well, now I know what is under my house thank you.
😭poor scared baby! 😁yay!! Mama mama!! Awe😙
They look cute but theyre the biggest nuisance among wild animals.
I love how the did just leaves the baby by itself for like a hpur
I’ve been hearing sounds like these lately at night mostly. I also hear what I thought was footsteps and scratching in my attic should o call pest control?
Yep. I just moved into an apartment and have one up there. Wakes me up at 1:30am EVERY night!! Pest control comes tomorrow!!!
Please don’t. They will kill the raccoons. You can wait until they leave and then secure your attic.
Very cute!
Cute racoon
Missed the opportunity to own a raccoon as a pet
this was so sad 😭😭😭😭😭😭
But Mom saved the day!
Is YourMotherWellFc I know I almost cried
It’s one under my basement
Omg that's the same noise I've been hearing outside my window it's annoying every night
SO genuinely to see most people on here talking about how cute raccoons are and how much they like them. I know most think of them as vermin or pests and have no problem killing them, which is abhorrent. They are living creatures who only have a few years of life on this Earth, who are you to shorten that life?
aww so cute
I love these noises
poor thing, hes' lonely and frightened:"(
it would be a dead one if you saw the damage a family will cause in your attic and the disease it can spread. would have pushed it off the roof into the damn road
I love those little noises he makes!
fajny filmik .Pozdrawia Leśna Kraina
This is kinda weird too watch cute baby animal in distress
poor baby Im not sure why you didn't help it, you were clearly right on the roof ;( Very sad to see this as a wildlife rehabber.
so sad and cute
🤦🏾♂️ Well after watching this video I’m pretty sure I have raccoons in my attic.
May Talos help it lol
Aww he's a cute little guy
Ahhhhhhh sososososo cuuuuuuuute.
i hear racoons cries all the time near my house at 4 or 5 in the morning..they sound scary
Little guy can't figure out his way down. Roofs can be scary.
Poor baby, mama will show up.
He was saying "fuck you I'm a roof baby now"!
Did you leave it up here? How are you recording
Baby: Mom! Mom! I'm so glad you're back!
Mom: Hello, sweetheart. How the hell did you get up here?
Baby: Mom, it was horrible. I didn't know where you were and- Hey, what are you doing?
Mom: Come on, we need to get off the roof.
Baby: But- Wait! Wait! I'm scared of heights!
Mom: Let go of the fucking roof! I've got you.
They climb nearby trees and get on the roof from there usually
How in the world did it get up on the roof!
2:40 OMG..lol
And this sound is in my trailer and it’s 3 am
So cute
Sounds like what's in my wall
Poor little fella...
There's a freaking raccon in my mom's car motor that won't get out
I actually own a raccoon. And I have a baby named nia, she loves her raccoon plush and stays inside of my Hat(fedora) all day. That's how I got my username
