People have got to stop being terrified of what others think of them. Speak the truth. Be humble. Nothing changes if nothing changes. The world is going to hate us for what we believe and we aren't supposed to be a part of this world.
I agree that too many pastors and churches are out of touch with their people. Hard to even develop relationships in churches because of cliches and people who are comfortable with their friends and don't need others to meet and know.
As a Gen X'r, I was also the only one (that I knew of or said it out loud) who quoted Galatians 3:28 in the midst of all this news about race was coming down. It broke my heart how so many GenZ'r, Millennials were being led by their hearts and emotions and not the Gospel. We need a Gospel that transcends time and culture. To get angry with current events without realizing what the church went through for more than a millennium was baffling. There are also not alot of truly converted folks in the church today.
This speaks to me about the huge lack in churches in putting energy into raising up and training the fathers and the men. I think that after the basic health of the elders and how they organize the church, the next thing is are the elders actively training and building up the men.
I just started going to a new church. The pastor sort of softly touched on homosexuality in his last message, but he was kind of vague about it and didn't call it out by name. My husband and I went to a luncheon after service for new people to meet the leadership, and my husband mentioned that and encouraged the pastor to speak openly about those things and asked what the church's stance is on those issues. Everything he said about what the church stands for in regards to homosexuality and transgenderism was exactly what we believe, and he said that while he didn't name it specifically that morning, he has in the past and will continue to do so. It's almost sad how excited I was to hear that... that should be the norm for every Christian church, and yet it doesn't feel like it is at all. And I'm just so grateful to have found a place like that. Although I perhaps wish they would delve into those subjects even more, I admit that I'm not a pastor and I do believe our pastor is following God's guidance on how often and in what way to speak on those issues. One of the things that encouraged me about this church when I first started going to a women's bible study was that a couple young women about my age told me, about the lead pastor, "Travis definitely sticks to the Bible and preaches it accurately, and he doesn't shy away from certain things because they're controversial." Again, I wish we could just be open enough to say what we are actually talking about, but it was good to hear regardless. I just wish we didn't all feel the need to speak in code and test the waters to see what the other person believes first. You should just be able to come out and say "yeah, our pastor is not afraid to say that God is against homosexuality/transgenderism/abortion" or whatever else you're talking about that might be "controversial."
I am one of the viewers who was referred by Ruslan. I believe I heard you say on one of your other videos, "The primary goal of our faith is not to grow the church, it's fidelity to Jesus!" This is a very provocative conversation & I appreciate what you are doing here on Wise Disciple.
Very grateful for your channel! Most times, I long to have these conversations because the Christian worldview is not welcomed in secular spaces (of course), but it's not welcomed in such a way that we need to know how to answer certain questions coming our way in these spaces. DEI, racial segregation, talk against morality and God are so common now in workspaces and public school institutions and I long to hear how we can encourage one another to move in these environments. I do have a question! What advice do you have for Christians who teach in public schools/art schools? It seems a lot of the issues we speak of, happen in these places. Thanks again for your videos!!
This was so good. I’m so glad your video “randomly” showed up in my feed. Interesting what you said about Christian’s going to RUclips to find the true messages that we need to hear on how to combat the worldviews of today, as we aren’t hearing it in church. Thank you.
Thanks Nate for another insightful video. I believe the reason Pastors censor themselves is 3 fold issue. 1) Pride. Many Pastors will not accept correction. They seem to believe their seminary training outweighs a message from the Holy Spirit. 2) They fear rejection and the possibility of declining numbers and tarnishing their own name. And 3) Some are called, some are sent and some just got their coats and went. Many look at the Ministry as a job, a career. Few I believe are actually called! Just my take!
I think there is perhaps a 4th option that is close to 2, but less self-centered. I think many pastors do genuinely worry about pushing people away from God and saying something in a way that might be mistaken as cruel or condemning, etc. And sure, some of that might be a self-preservation thing, not wanting people to think badly of you. But I think for many good pastors it's not so much about what people think of THEM, but what people think of GOD because of them. They're trying to represent God, and that is a hard job to do. And it's a delicate job to do. Church leaders will most certainly be judged more strictly than the average person when it comes to how they have represented Christ to their congregation, so they need to be mindful about how they go about things. And I think a lot of them really do want to do the right thing, regardless of any personal consequences. They just aren't always sure what the right thing is when it comes to wanting to create a place where struggling sinners feel welcome to learn, but also a place where sin is rightly called out and not affirmed. It's a tough job. I don't envy pastors, especially in this day and age. We need to have grace and not assume that every pastor who is tiptoeing around these issues is just cowardly or worried about themselves. I think many of them are just trying to do their best to not fall onto either side of the extreme camps (i.e., being hateful or being affirming).
Thank you Wise Disciple ministry... spending my sabbath day listening to your analysis of debates on cultural topics is already training me to think biblically and learn how to answer tricky questions about our faith, and ask the right questions to people I engage with. I am grateful for you tube christianity :) i certainly am able to hear and learn much more than i ever could if i had tk only rely on my local churchs subday message or even just having to rely on being able to talk to my pastor. Not bashing our local church , but the you thbe ministries (like yours) I am able to hear and learn and get answers to a lot of my in the moment questions.
Many of these pastors hide behind the idea that they are treating the person with love by not telling them they are on a wrong path or their behavior or plans do not align with Christ.
Jesus said we are in the world but not of the world. I take the word "of" as being at least a part of and at most a possession of. The world is eating itself because it is trapped like a wild animal caught in a snare and is gnawing off its leg in order to free itself. I have to remind myself to not get sucked into the drama of the world and "be ready in every season to give a reason for the hope that lies within me."
The world has broken down because of Satan's deception of women at which he continues to be successful and the complacency of men as the Head of their Household. This results in a woman's rule of the family which is a consequence of both husbands and wives disobedience to their God-ordained roles in a Biblical Marriage and Biblical family. I was raised by an incredible father and mother who actually converted to Christianity in their twenties. They succeeded in raising four children who know the True Gospel. My dad clearly accepted his role in the home as communicated by God Almighty of The Head. I married a Christian woman who understands the role of a Godly wife and mother and we are raising our family to fear the Lord Jesus Christ and walk in humble obedience to Him. I am a man who knows and lives the True Gospel. There are not very many of us left. I fear God alone, I worship Him alone and all my successes I attribute completely to my life commitment to Jesus Christ, My Lord and My Savior. He has granted my request of wisdom which He gives freely to all who ask. As long as Men continue to allow women to rule over them the world will continue in the current direction to fulfill the prophecies of God's Holy Word. In Christ's Name Amen.
Apologetics is the number one tool I used for the past 25 years when spreading the word, writing a book, and citations. I definitely agree that more preachers should teach apologetics in the church. However, I have a theory as to why apologetics are not taught in the common church.
@WillWaaaghForDakka I believe that true apologetics is the "Pandoras Box" (if you excuse the pagan reference) of knowledge pertaining to the Elohim, History, Science, etc. Both good and bad. As we dive deeper into these matters it leads us to truths that challenge most doctrines and agendas, and in many cases opposes the directions we have been led into by the leaders/rulers of our world. For Example: Apologetics will lead you into the study of some anthropology but it will oppose the doctrines of those leading the field in topics of "Human Evolution" Believe it or not many leaders in the past believed in the "root race theory" and used the theory of Evolution as the playing field. This promoted intolerance and the distortion of world history. It is the distortion of History that is used to keep us in a constant state obliviousness; makes us easier to control. Which is why it is called "His-Story," because whoever rules the world get to change "laws, times, and history" Apologetics reveals light on most of this knowledge that was hidden from us in plain sight, but also reveals truth about Christian doctrines as well. Many Christian Apologists will "water down" what they teach to others in the fear it will lead many away from "some" Christian doctrine. For Example: the belief that Melchizedek was an immortal being also called "Ben Elohim/Son of God" in the flesh is a belief that was held by a cult called "The Melchizedekites" the practice is called "Melchizedekism" They believed that Jesus/Yesh was the reincarnation of Melchizedek as a regular man, and did not believe in the priesthood of the Levites. Their belief was supposed to be considered heretical, however using apologetic studies we see the "Book of Hebrews" was written by those who believed in "Melchizedekism" Even though many Apologists have recognized this, they will not teach about the belief in "Melchizedekism" because it defeats the belief the "Bible" is infallible based on the canonization of humans. Apologetics defies many worldly and religious beliefs that I am not allowed to show on here. The Prince of this world is Satan so true apologetics makes you enemies with the world.
@WillWaaaghForDakka I would love to give you an honest answer but looks YT deleted the response I gave to your question. Mostly because I have been SB so all of my videos and comments are on the radar.
I appreciate your videos. I stumbled across them last night as I was watching some of Vodie Bachman‘s sermons. And I think everything you’re saying regarding pastors not addressing social issues Biblically is spot on. That’s why I a Christian of 48 years watch RUclips pastors and RUclips teachers that I believe are biblically sound. You are right we don’t get this kind of teaching in churches Anymore Thank you.

I am glad I discovered your channel last Friday. It's such good content. Another reason why pastors censor themselves is because their direct or close family members have been swept into these cultural issues. In that case, they will not touch on the topics or permit anybody in the church to discuss them because it will directly attack their family. Of course, many consider these issues private life so it is kept "hidden" from the church. I have witnessed this on many occasions.
Very interesting topic. When I came to church a year ago pastor said "my goal is to have 500 members". Since then all there went downhill and people of the church board has all power but no willingness to see the truth
This is so good…! I have done more focusing on Apologetics in the last few years and I do believe it is a mighty tool in the hand of the Christian. Lets be adults, pick up this tool and go to work. The lost need it, in Jesus name!!!
If more churches were properly separating the tasks of the evangelist (preacher) and pastors (elders/shepherds) I do think we would have less burn out and have both a stronger focus on administering to the congregation and better equipped saints.
Just want to say that I really enjoy watching this channel. I originally found you by watching you react to a debate and have been following ever since. God bless you in your work and continue to empower you for ministry. Peace and blessings. 🙏

Excellent Video 😊 I am working on my PhD in Philosophy and Apologetics, and I agree with your statement on the lack of apologetics in the church. You just gained a new subscriber.
Love it! I see a wide church but not a thick one. The key to broadening both width and depth is discipleship. We have to teach the body to make disciples. They aren’t made in an hour and a half on Sunday. I believe in one on one training. Taking younger Christian’s under your wing and do life with them. It’s a big commitment. But, so is the faith. Blessings
I'm new to this channel (I followed the recommendation you mentioned at the beginning.) I'm really glad I found you and can't wait to see your other videos to benefit from for your clear vision and words of wisdom.
This video is probably the best I've heard from your channel. It's really clear that pastor's hang their words on their degrees more than the Bible and thy bake messages that are softballs and tickle the ears. Because their metric is "butts in seats" more than anything else unfortunately.
So good. I am grateful I know leaders of the flock that tell it like it is. The flock needs to do the same. Fear not! And a good reason for plurality of leadership. Sharing the load.
Dear Nate, I think it's fantastic what you do and how you do it. Your content is powerful and well researched. Thank you very much for this from Switzerland, Aleks
Easy to overcome name calling by other and that's by responding by saying "thanks for sharing about yourself so love hearing individuals talking about themselves"
You are a teacher of my passion... learning biblical truth. I don't see how it can be wrong, unless I put it higher than anything else, including our Lord.
As I mentioned in a earlier comment, having recently returned to church, I now find that all the pastors are focusing more in the actions of other pastors or churches instead of teaching us Gods word. Unfortunately is us, the congregation again that’s being left confused because in one message we are being taught that Jesus says not to judge, why look at the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye, and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye. Then for only hear the pastors criticism of another pastor or church. It leaves us, the congregation lost…
Good video. Love the conversation! In today's "church", a lot of pastors' sensor themselves because they don't want to deal with the obvious cultural issues head on. They're afraid of backlash and they don't want to be biblically responsible when answering those tough questions. They want to blur the lines and find some way to make Christianity palatable for everyone through compromise. A lot of them also get locked into "loving this world" when they see what their congregational numbers can do for them financially and clout wise. You touched on it when you spoke about the sub-cultures in the church, where pastors' compare themselves within these groups to see who's doing more or who has the most or whatever applies. Bottom line, they don't want to suffer as a result of being biblically responsible!
A pastor of a church I went to years ago said, "You can fix anything if you have the right tool". Our tool for everything is the Bible. It more often than not won't be the popular fix, may take longer than super glue, but if we fix it right (through His strength and guidance), it will last a lifetime. The other day I was thinking about how everyone throws the word "culture" around these days. When it comes to the world, they put the "cult" in culture!
Does Voddie have a RUclips channel that he posts sermons on? I love hearing his sermons and his conversations I learn so much. Also love your channel Nate!
Man.. so glad I found you through Ruslan! You and Voodie are so spot on. It’s the same questions and discussions I keep bringing up and no one wants to talk about it truthfully with my congregation and Pastors. Apologetics have broaden my views and created a better relationship with understanding the issues of the Spirit and the flesh! Thank you for all that you do! I will be binging your content now brother! God bless and peace be upon you!
I think it depends on what community you're addressing, because people make fun of feminism all the time. I'm no feminist, but when I see actual abuse happen and I'm called a feminist, like in the case of the abuse to Eileen Gray and the like, or the numerous sexual abuse cases from the SBC and other churches, then words like feminist and women become the right wing version of calling everyone racist or homophobic. In fact, the same story Voddie gave about having to look up Christian Nationalism was the EXACT reaction I had to Marxism. I feel just as much push back from the world as I do from some church communities because they're stuck in culture, but it's just not current culture so it doesn't count apparently.
Way to put that word out Nate I love the way you bring Voddy on because I love Voddy the way he breaks it down and I love to hear your comments at the end thank you
I can obviously only speak for myself, who has just recently returned to church. It was the pastors compromising that confused me and turned me away from the church…
2:48 I Preach , nothing but the gospel truth, every single Sunday. And I will not bow down to culture. With the church admit to influence the culture, not the culture influence in the church. And God has honored this stance. Whatever the cost, I will gladly pay it.
I also think these pastor’s that are preaching non historical, unsound doctrine is due to the seminaries they study and are taught from… When your taught wrong your whole understanding of theology is wrong and that spills over in the church and having unequipped sheep… The blind leading the blinder…
This is so so so good ! I totally agree and I have had a hard time finding truth …. It’s not in Joyce Myers , Steven Furtick, etc etc I have tried to find solid biblical preaching/ teaching that’s not only going to give me direction but show me our sins! I am so glad good saved me at nine years old but wow all this prosperity speaking etc! I was called the preach at 19 years old and I remember so much of this of the way I preached and ones like Bro Voodie remind me of the way I tried to preach ! It has to be rightly divided then you have the Bible versions issue to because I was taught KJV was the only way which to some degree I believe that still! Ok I am done I could go on and on but i appreciate your ministry!Godspeed!

Bang on! The Gospel is THE answer!!❤
Voddie is a large part (and a few others) of my personal discipleship.

Any social justice or evanelism done w/o love quickly becomes vengeance/noise.
In seminary 30 years ago it was "what you win them with is what you win them to"
I absolutely love your channel and especially your message. I'm sharing this with everyone. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing! Really appreciate that 😊
This speaks to me about the huge lack in churches in putting energy into raising up and training the fathers and the men.
Looking for the right church with the right messages being taught in or near Desert Hot Springs California. Thanks Wayne
Yes amen brother! God bless.
GREED
@@CassTeaElleTrying not to fall on either side means you are on the wrong side, according to the Bible.

Thank you Wise Disciple ministry... spending my sabbath day listening to your analysis of debates on cultural topics is already training me to think biblically and learn how to answer tricky questions about our faith, and ask the right questions to people I engage with. God bless you and your team... I am from Philippines, and also sharing the gospel and discipling students. This channel is a great resource for me. Thank you brother!
Some pastors have said,I don’t preach on that b/c I don’t understand it myself “
Just found your channel via a video from Ruslan and am now a subscriber. Your clarity of bibical teaching (apologitics) is what those who are followers of Jesus need. Our world bombards us with messages from all sides and we need the full armor of God to stand. Thank you for pulling everyting back to the living word of God. God bless you in all you do. I pray your channel is seen far and wide!
Thank God for those who are able to communicate clearly.
This was amazing! Love when I hear more scripture or at least scripture equaled with teaching/interpretation/even one’s own opinion. I’m in a saddened agreement on the points made and just want to say how grateful i am and blessed to hear this message. God bless you and this ministry and all who have ears to hear what the spirit is saying. God. His word. Prayer. Every single day!
I'm just finding your page but I saw Voddie and I clicked. I used to watch Ruslan and I love him but the celebrity news is not my thing. I'm glad I found you Wise Disciple because you Discuss, Rebuke and Prove thru our Heavenly Father's Word. Love that you use the Bible. Praise God & Halleluyah ✝️😇🕎
Scripture warned us, it predicted this, we should rejoice that we see it in our time as it confirms what the Lord told us would happen
"If you get rid of the rule, everybody runs, because there's nothing to adhere to." 🤔
I am grateful for you tube christianity :) i certainly am able to hear and learn much more than i ever could if i had tk only rely on my local churchs subday message or even just having to rely on being able to talk to my pastor. Not bashing our local church , but the you thbe ministries (like yours) I am able to hear and learn and get answers to a lot of my in the moment questions.
I am a youth pastor. I don't sensor myself... haven't gotten in trouble yet. 😅
AweSOME! Love it. Keep doing what your doing, sir. I'm praying for you 👊
Just give it time. Don't ever forget your poo don't stink too. Prince thought he couldn't be played. Then took Vicodin fakes.

Amazing loved your conclusion! Truth there.
Many of these pastors hide behind the idea that they are treating the person with love by not telling them they are on a wrong path or their behavior or plans do not align with Christ.
Great info and spot on. I am sending this to my Pastor more as a good job since he covers a lot of these topics.
Thanks for bringing this
Jesus said we are in the world but not of the world.
@@411ThyWillBeDone Well said.
I’ve just discovered your program. Love it! Keep speaking truth, the church needs it, badly!
I remember the video you did on the elephant room talk about seeker churches, and it’s very insightful. Thanks for what you do Nate!
wow. i learned so much about a topic i've been passionately researchin'. Subbed! God Bless, OP
I really appreciate your vision and how you apply the Gospel to all problems that we face today. Well worth my subscription. Thank you!
For Example: Apologetics will lead you into the study of some anthropology but it will oppose the doctrines of those leading the field in topics of "Human Evolution"
Believe it or not many leaders in the past believed in the "root race theory" and used the theory of Evolution as the playing field. This promoted intolerance and the distortion of world history.
It is the distortion of History that is used to keep us in a constant state obliviousness; makes us easier to control. Which is why it is called "His-Story," because whoever rules the world get to change "laws, times, and history"
Apologetics reveals light on most of this knowledge that was hidden from us in plain sight, but also reveals truth about Christian doctrines as well.
Many Christian Apologists will "water down" what they teach to others in the fear it will lead many away from "some" Christian doctrine.
For Example: the belief that Melchizedek was an immortal being also called "Ben Elohim/Son of God" in the flesh is a belief that was held by a cult called "The Melchizedekites" the practice is called "Melchizedekism"
They believed that Jesus/Yesh was the reincarnation of Melchizedek as a regular man, and did not believe in the priesthood of the Levites.
Their belief was supposed to be considered heretical, however using apologetic studies we see the "Book of Hebrews" was written by those who believed in "Melchizedekism"
Even though many Apologists have recognized this, they will not teach about the belief in "Melchizedekism" because it defeats the belief the "Bible" is infallible based on the canonization of humans.
I watched your interview on Ruslan and this is my first time checking out your channel. Thank you for your obedience to the Lord, God Bless you my friend. 🙏🏼❤️
This video is so good. Thank you Nate!!! Praise God. Thank you Lord Jesus!!!! How do we end racism? The Gospel !!!!!!
🙏✝️🕊️🔥🎺⚔️💖 AMEN!!!! Love this. PREACH!!!
Thank you. As a pastor I always find your messages challenging and informative.
Thank God for your channel and others like it.....keep doing the work brother, it's greatly appreciated and I'm now a subscriber. Your contents is conformation for the ministry that has been put on my heart by the Lord to pursue for my calling to teach ☝🏿💜
I've found God recently, been loving your videos!
I totally agree with you and pastor Voddie. Thank you so much for sharing this video.😊🩷
Love this! Just somehow had your site pop up! Truth! How refreshing! Thankyou
Thank u Wise Disciple for your knowledge and intelligence. We need more like u in our 🌎. I look forward to all of your posts.
Prior to giving up the mic, we lost the battle of words. So we're already fighting an uphill battle when we're forced to argue using their semantics
Excellent Video 😊 I am working on my PhD in Philosophy and Apologetics, and I agree with your statement on the lack of apologetics in the church. You just gained a new subscriber.
Preach it, Pastor!! 🙏
I came here from Ruslan, and really appreciating your videos Nate!
Being opposed and feeling personally convinced are two very different things.
Dear Nate,
I think it's fantastic what you do and how you do it. Your content is powerful and well researched. Thank you very much for this from Switzerland, Aleks
Here from Ruslan. Enjoying your videos. God bless.
I think both of you are absolutely right! Great explanations!
Easy to overcome name calling by other and that's by responding by saying "thanks for sharing about yourself so love hearing individuals talking about themselves"
Just found this channel, but really enjoying the content so far. Refreshing to hear truth
Voddie is an amazing Disciple of Christ. Amen
Does Voddie have a RUclips channel that he posts sermons on? I love hearing his sermons and his conversations I learn so much. Also love your channel Nate!
Call out Joel Olsten! Paster Voodee is always on point! Thanks for your ministry! Shalom & Blessings
Man.. so glad I found you through Ruslan!
Well Done! Love that I just found this channel. I would argue that apologetics is more useful for Christians these days.
Way to put that word out Nate I love the way you bring Voddy on because I love Voddy the way he breaks it down and I love to hear your comments at the end thank you
I’m so glad I found this channel.
This is great thank you for sharing 🙏🏾
Preachers of old has gone and now we have these contemporary preachers who has conformed to how the world system want us to be.
I wish there was a place that offered a course on apologetics that didn't require you to commit to a full seminary program.
I also think these pastor’s that are preaching non historical, unsound doctrine is due to the seminaries they study and are taught from… When your taught wrong your whole understanding of theology is wrong and that spills over in the church and having unequipped sheep… The blind leading the blinder…
This is my first time seeing this channel. I learned a lot. I hit subscribe. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Thanks 😊
Love your channel. Keep up the good work
This is so so so good !
