- Okay, so I couldn't resist to make this video. Some leaks analysis and comparison with estimation and speculation too here:)
Check this if you are about to buy a new RTX 30 laptop.
Right now, preorders offer are very interesting giving you and RTX 3070 (ax-Q ?) for less than 1600$. But is it realy a good deal ?
Also forget to mention that firestrike 3070 mobile leaks are out on notebookcheck. Same though about it: FS standard graphics 27980 for 3070 mobile VS 25404 for RTX 2070 Super which make a 9% ... all makes sense :)
The 3080 mobile (max-p) will perform exactly as the RTX 3070 Desktop (see in vid for comparison)

After seeing benchmarks on the mobile 3070 I’m happy with my 2070S max p its not that far off.
mobile 3070 Max q that is, 130w 3070 mobile is still faster, which is expected

What i know ill pass 3000 and w8 for 4000. Mine 2070 super max q will be ok in 1080p for another 2 years i think so no rush. Even cyberpunk run well in ultra no rt so no point in buying another laptop
We shall see what happens. My 2080 Super scores a 127,000 which is quite impressive. However benchmarking isn't everything and I'm curious to see real world in game performance. I'm not expecting anything crazy bc 3000series cards need Alot of watts that your not getting in the mobile chips.
You're already beating the 3080 max-Q and so close of 3070 desktop XD. Nvidia is clearly not thinking like gamers ... they want to force their ray-tracing thing with AI thing. All this occupy half of the chip and consumption with it for sure. Raw performance is kind of left behind .. Can't wait to see games numbers !

No big difference in fps and performance..? Because maybe the driver update still in improving.., so wait the update driver and see improvements
Ampere 30 series CUDA cores ≠ Turing 20 series CUDA cores. You can't compare CUDA core counts between these two generations and wonder why performance is not scaling linearly. The architecture is completely different. Remember, the original marketing material at lauch given by NVIDIA to AIBs was 4,352 CUDA cores for the RTX 3080. But then they revised that amount to 8,704. So the number here is completely arbitrary and simply however nvidia wants to market them.
Yes, I remember that. They double the amount of operation per clock speed passing from 2 to 4 thanks to a lower voltage (250 mV per step). This is why they just doubled cuda cores... I now that cura cores count are now bullshit and are not showing directly the card performances. But, from what I've seen for mobile card and based on the leak, using cuda cores to speculate is pretty close to real performances.
I will still buy a 3070 Max Q, should still perform better than most other old laptops with 2070s and 2080s that cost more than these 1599-1799.
Comparative game results shows 3070 behind 2070 Super ... don't know clearly which TDP for the 3070 if it is lowest 80 or max-P 125W.

Does anyone know if a laptop 2070 MP Super is capable of pushing a 49" ultra for racing games at like med-high graphics?
In 1080P resolution YES. in 1440p ultra wide maybe around 60 fps. The 2070 Super is still able to run some games decently in 4K. More if you can use DLSS.

From what I could research the 3070 Max-P is supposed to be as fast or faster than the 2080 Super Max-P which is great because the cheapest config for a 2080 Super laptop is around $2500+ while a 3070 Max-P laptop goes for $1799
Yeah, 2080 Super and 3070 max-P should be close. I still think 2080 Super will be a little faster thanks to a higher TDP. I've seen some RTX 2080 Super laptops like Omen 17 going on discound at like 1699€ in my country. I believe they will start to destock soon.
@@cyclo16hacks dang that’s a steal! But I’d also like to add that some 3070 Max-P laptops come with the new Ryzen 5900HX CPUs which should definitely add extra performance. I’m looking towards getting an ASUS Strix G17 that comes with the 5900HX and 3070 Max-P for only $1799

Went with the Alienware m15 R3 2070 Super over a 3060 laptop. Couldn’t afford the additional $300-400 for a 3070.
2070 Super is still competitive to the RTX 3070 mobile so it's still a good GPU in 2021.

From the other videos I have seen the 2070 super is faster than the 3060 130w and only 6-8% slower than the 3070 130w. It beat the 3070 in a lot of games. I have the g17 with the i7 10750H, RTX 2070 super and don't plan on upgrading for several years.
Yes. My predictions appeared to be almost true. Depending on 3070 TDP. Only 130 and 140 W 3070s will beat the 2070 Super Max-P. Same as you, I was wondering about changing ... but the M17 R3 is just too powerful to let it go. Can't believe it beats the M15 R6 3070 by 25% on Firestrike graphics score.

I've seen only lower prices (in France) on very entry level PC like Asus TUF or MSI GP66 all equipped with Ryzen chip and MAX-Q. Also, don't forget that there are some launch discounts on it probably. Anything else like MSI GS66 , Asus Strix G17, remains at the same price as last year RTX 2000 series. Making almost no difference using AMD or Intel CPU. But anyway, if someone needs a PC right now, he should probably buy it since there will be no stock at all ... even at official launch as pre orders are almost sold out already.
@@cyclo16hacks Yeah im saying that because i was thinking to buy one of these entry level laptops like asus tuf, i know previous series of tuf a15 the cooling was bad but i heard that they upgraded it in A17, do you think it would worth for his price, i think it was something around 1500 dollars
@@ciberoyuncu7459If you get that Ryzen 5800H or 5900H as long as you get the basics 16 GB of RAM and a 144 Hz or high screen .. yeah it's worth it. This is the same price as some 2070 super pc with i7 10875h going in discount atm. < 1500$. But yeah, going on next-gen is the best choice. Also considering that AMD thermals should be better. Just see if there would be any mention of a Max-P and a max-Q version of 3070. you would win a lot going for max-P !!

What I wanna know is what tge rtx 3060 115w performs like. Because it has a higher core count than desktop and wouldn't that much lower in power limit.
Not to mention, I wanna know how well it'll be tuned. Got my 1050 to 2ghz and 4333mhz.

@@cyclo16hacks Thats not how he explains it, depending on the configuration some 3070 Max-Q variants might perform the same if not slightly worse than the 3060 Max P. Also there's a difference from Max P and Max Q, if you're referring to a 3060 Max P then yeah both might perform the same which is disappointing for a 3070 Max Q, but a 3060 Max-Q will definitely perform worser.
