I bought The Great Controversy 10 years ago and was never interested to read it. I'd found it boring or something but on 17th May , 2023 The Spirit of The Lord led me to it. I remember wanting to read through all the pages all at once as it all of a sudden occured to me that it had an eternal message! I began to read from Chapter 31 - The Agency of Evil spirits then rolled to Chapter 32 Satan's Snares. I'm now reading the whole book and I have realized so many things by God's grace 🙏 Thank you so much for this film. It's so timely.

By this I mean the Spirit of Prophecy books I read The Desire of Ages , the chapter about Gethsemane and that read still bring tears to my eyes. God's Spirit is at work. @@hellensingoey2269 Ellen g white plagiarized a lot of writings and she was very wrong about certain doctrines. Sabbath keeping will never earn anyone a place in heaven, only the work of Christ for our sins, the apostle Paul told us to not make matters about a sabbath day of any importance.
Too many inconsistencies with the Word. And the point of the gospel is lost. This ultramodern nonsense, presents a false gospel. God explained to the pair why they did NOT die that day and the plan of salvation. Our problem is that we have to give people amusement mixed with the gospel.
Completely agree. The creators should have explained why Adam and Eve didn’t die instead of just saying that offering a sacrifice allowed them to live. We try so hard to bring the world into the church by lowering the standards and end up just converting the church to the world’s ways.
The General Conference did put money into "The Record Keeper" several years ago. And, like this animation, it went directly contrary to The Great Controversy book in several places, so they wisely axed it. Seems like Satan has his hands on trying to change the Great Controversy message too. Beware!
@Steven S Steven, didn't you notice that this video is teaching a different god - not the God of the Bible? The God of the Bible told his angels all about the plan of salvation right after the fall of man.
So grateful for this. I’m not much of a reader, but today a Muslim friend of mine that lives in London (I’m from New Zealand) discovered the book version at her place of work (which is a very progressive, leftist environment - God bless them) and she said she was gonna read it. I believe this is God working on her heart, because where she works it makes no sense that this book was just sitting there for no reason. Anyways, since I don’t read much, I’m grateful that this is available, and the timing of it too as this was just posted 5 days ago. Amen.
This animation is a nice, well done overview of the great controversy between good and evil. However, the book, The Great Controversy is inspired and goes much deeper. Pray before reading it. Also, it's one book of a set of five. May i recommend, The Desire of Ages from that set ? God bless !!
@@donnacollins4011 It's the Bible that tells me to read the Great Controversy (Revelation 22:18-19). The Great Controversy is the spirit of prophecy which is the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17, 19:10). It is also the best commentary on Matthew 24 for me. I read the Bible and the spirit of prophecy. Maybe you want to start writing too? so people can know if your writings are the spirit of prophecy?
My children concluded after watching it: the people with blue eyes are good, and the people with other eye colors are bad. I had to explain the objective of the movie to them unfortunately. Being a black skin person, I would use other markers, maybe a halo. The eye color doesn't convey a good message. Next time please think about it.

Anyone who's read the Great Controversy book and has an understanding of Prophetic history can clearly see that the writters are off the mark on this one. Putting aside the unwise white-washed-ness...the chronology if events is off, the vagueness is deep, the fictional storyline is bordering on "going to heaven when you die" typa near death experience...The common portrayal of Lucifer as emo-ish and ugly is misleading..etc etc... For a bunch of reasons I would not share this with my non-sda or sda friends and family members... The theology is dissapointing and subtly misleading, which makes me wonder if it is actually SDA produced... Although the animation idea and execution is brilliant.
Although I enjoyed it and got the message they were trying to convey because I read the Book- You made some good points. We have to be careful and have discernment..
Rodney, yours is the first comment I've seen on this video that compares this video to the book, and points out some of the problems. The biggest one I saw is the outright lie that none of the angels knew what the plan of salvation was until Christ came to this earth.
I thought it was just me who felt this way based on the other comments I read. I wholeheartedly agree with you on every point you mentioned. I guess it’s really meant to be just an overview to spark interest. And I also got that “heaven when you die” feeling as well from this. But as you said, the animation idea is a good one, as I believe it could lead some to read The Great Controversy. It’s hard to cover the depth of that book in such a short time.
Thank you for making this. I appreciate your work but i don't see the great controversy being explained. Maybe the first angels message? I'm confused by the ending with the cell phone and the visions and dreams might give some the impression that the dead are in heaven and not resting in the grave. I know the theology but to those who don't, this is vague enough to allow the enemy to possibly lead astray. The decision that is alluded to isn't really made clear what the decision must be based on. It makes it look like Jesus is a spectator in heaven and not actively interceding on our behalf. God bless

@@tamathacoatney9799 Yes, God's day has remained the same, only difference between the beginning of this earth and now is mankind has rejected their creators seventh day sabbath, for a day that the lord never told them to remember all because he resurrected on that day(Sunday), the Christians after the apostles died had disdain for the Jews that had killed the creator in the flesh. They resented the Jews so much they decided they wanted nothing to be related to them to the point that they would have another day of worship instead of the Lords Seventh day Sabbath (Saturday). For the day that Jesus Christ resurrected(Sunday,first day of the week) which Jesus never told them to, effectively leading almost all other generations to keep this new "Tradition of man inspired by the devil" serving satan unknowingly throughout the later centuries, but God's truth could never be silenced by Satan. I know some people would be offended by the artist depictions of Jesus ( white/blue eyes), and although i would have like to have seen some things different myself ( mostly more facts); I think the main focus ( The great controversy) was beautifully and intelligently designed. I'm really glad there's no pictures of Jesus, so all we have to focus on is Spirit.
I agree but to speak on the first part of your comment. Imagine being black or of African descent and not seeing people that looks like you at all throughout this flick. We certainly need God because we know not what drives certain things we do and the effects of it.
Did you get that the color of the eyes reflect sin right? The colored went to blue to red and vice versa. We are used to see blue as good and red as bad in any media, I thought that this were obvious enough....
Praise God! As a colporter, who shares this book with those in our community, we witness the Great Controversy happening in real time with people as they hold the books. The forces of darkness fighting against the heavenly hosts for the souls of the people. Not. Because he receive vision when he is alive before he was dead. This means that boy didnt go to heaven because its a vision of the boy whem he is alive and the vision of the girl when she fell asleep. And Jesus Clearly on the Last part says all of them need to choose. That boy choose God and when he died have assurance of salvation that what the girl has seen the future of her brother.

What was that white disc in the girl's hand near the end of the video? It looked somewhat like a wafer/eucharist. There were also some other things that didn't gel with me, like when Jesus cried out on the cross It Is Finished, the Bible says He cried out with a loud voice. But in the video, it was hardly a whimper. The video was very hard to follow chronologically. Quite confusing actually.

Several years ago at Southern University there was an animation project that was started on "The War in Heaven" but they lacked funding to complete it. I was so sad about that and when someone told me about this film I was so happy to know that someone did it! But I'm confused about one part in this story. They show the War in Heaven happening after the Cross. The war between Michael and His angels and the devil and his angels happened even before the earth was created. Satan was thrown out of heaven before the creation of the earth as he was already the arch rebel that seduced Eve. Revelation is not written in chronological order as Revelation 12 is just sharing different visions that John received. Revelation is written in a chiastic form. See The Story of Redemption, pg. 17
The war in heaven started at Satan’s initial rebellion and although he was kicked out of heaven as his home he still had audience before God. So the war in heaven continued as he also continued to accuse God of being unjust before the unfallen angels, other worlds, fallen angels, man until after the cross when Satan no longer could have audience before God in heaven as the ruler of the world anymore because Jesus had claimed it again. Remember the story of Job when the sons of God (followers of most High) and many believe they were the representatives of the unfallen worlds would come before God, Satan would too as the representative of this world. But once Jesus was crucified and rose in victory overcoming sin and Satan , Satan could no longer have this audience. The Scriptures below are in relation to after the cross. "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." John 12:31-32 KJV
The rebellion start before creating earth.. war is when Jesus Christ complete His Sacrifice on the Cross.. This is Biblical. That's why in Job satan can go to heaven to the attend the council in heaven. Why his able to if he and his angels were already fallen down from earth?. It is because he became the ruler of the earth when Adam choose satan as his master. The war in heaven happen as in the book of controversy that is also said in the Bible ,that happen after he lost to the Son of God on the Cross.
@@rachel3angels Yes this is correct but only Satan had access. He went to the counsel meeting representing himself as the ruler of Earth. At the cross he was no longer allowed access to Heaven where the sons of God came and met before God. But clearly the war with he and his angels happened before earth was even created. The war is continuing but since the cross only on earth as satan and his rebel angels fight the unfallen angels who fight them when we pray for protection.
Exactly right. The war has transferred to earth and after the Cross then Satan had no more access to the counsel meetings in Heaven. That is why he is so angry. He knows after the judgment is over in Heaven, Jesus will come back and claim the earth as His! Daniel 7:26,27

Having watched it. I would have preferred it if the modern storyline was omitted and more detail was included. For example, depicting Jesus's current role in heaven as High Priest. He is not just walking off into the Milky Way, leaving the commenting angel to gawk into the stratosphere!

I really enjoyed this film and can see the earnest desire that this team has to make the truth known. I was sharing it with other and it was mentioned that the intro about the guy in heaven made it seem as if when people die they go straight to heaven and I believe that is a worthy point. We don't want to confuse those who don't know. Keep making great content! Just wanted to point this out to save anyone from confusion
Be careful dear ones: Matthew 7:21. I earnestly recomen you to read the book with your sons and daughters. Let the whole truth come to live in your mind and imagination. You can trust God, not the human.
This is an interesting interpretation of The Great Controversy and some parts seem folkloric. We really have to be careful not to add to or subtract in any way from the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy because a little leven can cause a lot of unintended harm.
@Steven S Well, you "may have read the books" - I believe you have not - but it is easier for you to retort you cannot read my mind than to admit you did not read the book, have no clue what it actually states yet presumed to refute my first observation with your first reply "A book always has more than the "movie" ...". You effectively countered what I first stated, therefore, the burden is not on me to tell you what is in my mind but on you to read the book and be in a position to know whether or not my first comment is valid and comment meaningfully.
I would highly ask you to reconsider your intentions of showing this in class. I am not sure if you have read the actual books by EGW upon which this is supposedly based on. Just watching the beginning of this, the whole reason for the rebellion here is actually contrary to the truth. It completely negates the real reason for the rebellion and therefore denying the truth of God.
Honestly never read it in its entirety. I did question the guy Samuel near death experience and how the Angel carry him around explained certain thing, etc...but I actually plan on viewing a 2nd time and reading the original copy.

Just as prophets in the past that helped Israel see and understand scripture, i believe that EGW was used to do the same and to also help guide the church. But again, i understand what you are saying and can agree. But don't dismiss her just because you don't like her for some odd reason. It would be the same as dismissing Paul in the New Testament. Can you know what the scriptures taught without Paul's letters? Absolutely, but good decided to use Paul to bring to light that which you might not see or understand. You can see this very principle when Paul writes to the Jews who even though they have the scriptures they did not understand them.
Beautifully done! However, a little more diversity in the appearance of the participants would create a feeling of inclusion for everyone in the story of redemption. Some people groups have said that Christianity is a religion of Europeans. My students of Asian and African background have asked me if everyone was white in Bible times, simply because of artwork. As an artist and teacher, I make an effort to have my presentation slides show diversity in stories of creation and the flood, etc. Whenever possible, it is wise to convey the truth that this is the history of all humanity.
That was my comment. I have no children, but my young adult great nieces and nephews and their parent had issue with the la k of diversity thus the youngest generation didn't even give it a chance.

I had to shed tears all along because of how God was dealing with sin, Lucifer and how he's saving mankind from the mess he involved himself in. I found the video so emotional. This video can appeal to many of the generations who love the graphic novel, cartoons and animated films, so it is valuable. As a mature adult, I prefer to read the book. It’s so historically and Biblically accurate and so powerful.

As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, here are my objections to that video: #1: The sequence of the war in heaven was placed after the Resurrection. And it's quite clear it predated Creation. To believe otherwise is unbiblical and contradicts the SOP. #2: It was objectionable to see how the angels deemed it necessary to remind God that action was necessary. When it's not necessary. Because He's God. This seems to have been the same mistake made when that movie "The Record Keeper" came out. God doesn't need human beings to be His advisors. It's elementary, my dear Watson. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. #3: The video made it look as if the angels had no clue of the plan of salvation. If Adam and Eve knew about it, expecting every successive generation (including Seth) to be the Savior, the angels certainly knew about it. Maybe they couldn't comprehend the idea of their King dying for humanity, but they certainly knew. And everything the angels did from the Fall through the Resurrection was to advance that cause. #4: There was no mention of the Trinity and how they had existed for eternity past, nor was there a mention of Jesus' feeling of separation from his Father. (I sincerely hope this video wasn't made by a nontrinitarian cult). #5: The scenes of the Protestant Reformation were too brief and failed to mention the early Reformation (such as the Hussites). Martin Luther certainly was the catalyst that made the Reformation cool, but he wasn't the first reformer. #5: Jesus is portrayed as distant, disconnected, and clueless. I have no idea what the makers of this video were thinking, but I strongly suggest they go back to the drawing board and spend some time in fervent prayer.
Believe or not God showed one of the many pillars of the Adventist faith about the Personality of God and of Christ. God is indeed a Personal God you can know who He is by getting to know Jesus.

I wish there were more color diversity in this film, it depicts a narrow point of view. Also, i wish the bible verses that represented each scene was incorporated. As an adventist showing this to a non believer would think its just a "cool" story

My thoughts exactly Ethan. I think in 55 mins; they were able to capture the arcing theme of the Great Controversy, which one would hope it leads non-believers to want to ask and seek more answers. I think this animation is a great conversation starter which would hopefully spark a Bible study in which one could show in the Bible the verses each scene represented. The whole family of Adam must die. I saw the lovely Jesus, and beheld an expression of sympathy and sorrow upon his countenance. Soon I saw him approach the exceeding bright light which enshrouded the Father. Said my accompanying angel, He is in close converse with His Father. The anxiety of the angels seemed to be intense while Jesus was communing with his Father. Three times he was shut in by the glorious light about the Father, and the third time he came from the Father, his person could be seen. His countenance was calm, free from all perplexity and trouble, and shone with benevolence and loveliness, such as words cannot express. He then made known to the angelic host that a way of escape had been made for lost man. He told them that he had been pleading with his Father, and had offered to give his life a ransom, and take the sentence of death upon himself, that through him man might find pardon. That through the merits of his blood, and obedience to the law of God, they could have the favor of God, and be brought into the beautiful garden, and eat of the fruit of the tree of life.
This is truly a work of art! I do wish the voiceover was more clear and scriptural though. Many parts of the narration left gray areas for error. Keep the art, but do a second edition with more explanatory voiceover, bolder scriptures, and more hope overall?
This is not an accurate depiction of the Great Controversy. The angels DID in fact know about the Plan of Salvation. Read Story of Redemption. Very subtle errors ….
As an artist myself I genuinely got excited about the art. But unfortunately I cannot share this video with others, as the narration leave too many gray areas and fallacies. Stunning art, but so disappointing that it cannot be used as a worthy tool for discipleship.

it was good but could have been great if they weren't ashamed of mentioning the Sabbath and the Sunday law where the conflict The Great Controversy will converge for a final battle between right and wrong. This is not Seventh Day Adventist.
As a blue-eyed man, I was greatly relieved and gratified to learn that Heaven will only be populated with people and angels with blue eyes. Evidently, people and angels with brown or orange eyes will clearly be lost for all eternity.
Apparently - they've been mass mailing copies of the book to residents across the US (Portland, Oregon got it recently) and I guess that was for the older folks. This is 'supposed' to be for kids/teens I suppose, but I found the film quite disappointing. It didn't really present any information that a basic Christian would not know - and the whole of the new earth being made up of blue-eyed individuals was, um, an interesting choice. I don't think this will captivate the audience they were hoping for.

they didnt want to listen to God. many use the flood as a excuse to say He is cruel and unmerciful. He gave them plenty of time to get on the ark. And yes there was plenty of room. this is my favorite display of God's mercy. do ppl really think God needed a flood? He couldve used any other means to end the life of the wicked. he gave them warning and a means to escape. but they hated God so much they didnt heed the flood warning. had they listened and boarded the ark their lives wouldve been spared. the flood literally exposed the evil that was in their hearts.

After watching this movie, its not all accurate which is why it's so important to READ the Book, The Great Controversy for ourselves, along with The BIBLE AND to do so before they're BOTH banned! @@susankane8728 Susan, this video denied that God explained the Plan of Salvation to Adam and Eve, and denied that God explained that same Plan to the angels, when The Great Controversy very clearly explains that He did, and even the Bible makes it clear. There were many other discrepancies. To imply that it is OK to lie to young minds is a serious error.
Statutes, I repeat, nothing was denied. I’m sure that God conveyed to Adam and Eve that He loved them, and obedience to Him was necessary for their well being; as for the angels, they had the clear example of Lucifer’s fall, through pride and disobedience. This film could not go into every detail that the book could, but told all that was needed for young minds to understand: There is good and evil, and good is obedient, in love, to the Creator God.
The art work here is beautiful but animation wise/acting unfortunately this is not super clear. It’s also to dark. Jesus is the hope in the controversy and it doesn’t need to be so emo? GC changed my life and helped me see Jesus beauty,hope and encouraged me to read the Bible. This art work would be cool in a comic book if done less doom and gloom. Jesus is hope,joy beauty and light. It’s so off everyone is so light skinned and also it’s just very disjointed as it moved around unlike most animations. Though if it’s more for creative comic book people I could see them really liking it. I still applaud anyone’s effort as no way this was easy.

I bought The Great Controversy 10 years ago and was never interested to read it. I'd found it boring or something but on 17th May , 2023 The Spirit of The Lord led me to it. I remember wanting to read through all the pages all at once as it all of a sudden occured to me that it had an eternal message!
I began to read from Chapter 31 - The Agency of Evil spirits then rolled to Chapter 32 Satan's Snares. I'm now reading the whole book and I have realized so many things by God's grace 🙏

Too many inconsistencies with the Word. And the point of the gospel is lost. This ultramodern nonsense, presents a false gospel. God explained to the pair why they did NOT die that day and the plan of salvation. Our problem is that we have to give people amusement mixed with the gospel.
Completely agree. The creators should have explained why Adam and Eve didn’t die instead of just saying that offering a sacrifice allowed them to live. We try so hard to bring the world into the church by lowering the standards and end up just converting the church to the world’s ways.
Imagine the level of quality if the conference put some millions of its billions behind a project like this..

The General Conference did put money into "The Record Keeper" several years ago. And, like this animation, it went directly contrary to The Great Controversy book in several places, so they wisely axed it.

I’m not much of a reader, but today a Muslim friend of mine that lives in London (I’m from New Zealand) discovered the book version at her place of work (which is a very progressive, leftist environment - God bless them) and she said she was gonna read it. I believe this is God working on her heart, because where she works it makes no sense that this book was just sitting there for no reason. This animation is a nice, well done overview of the great controversy between good and evil. However, the book, The Great Controversy is inspired and goes much deeper. Pray before reading it.

The Great Controversy is the spirit of prophecy which is the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17, 19:10). It is also the best commentary on Matthew 24 for me. I read the Bible and the spirit of prophecy. Maybe you want to start writing too? so people can know if your writings are the spirit of prophecy?

My children concluded after watching it: the people with blue eyes are good, and the people with other eye colors are bad. I had to explain the objective of the movie to them unfortunately. Being a black skin person, I would use other markers, maybe a halo. The eye color doesn't convey a good message. Next time please think about it.

Anyone who's read the Great Controversy book and has an understanding of Prophetic history can clearly see that the writters are off the mark on this one. Putting aside the unwise white-washed-ness...the chronology if events is off, the vagueness is deep, the fictional storyline is bordering on "going to heaven when you die" typa near death experience...The common portrayal of Lucifer as emo-ish and ugly is misleading..etc etc... For a bunch of reasons I would not share this with my non-sda or sda friends and family members... The theology is dissapointing and subtly misleading, which makes me wonder if it is actually SDA produced... Although the animation idea and execution is brilliant.

Rodney, yours is the first comment I've seen on this video that compares this video to the book, and points out some of the problems. The biggest one I saw is the outright lie that none of the angels knew what the plan of salvation was until Christ came to this earth.

Thank you for making this. I appreciate your work but i don't see the great controversy being explained. Maybe the first angels message? I'm confused by the ending with the cell phone and the visions and dreams might give some the impression that the dead are in heaven and not resting in the grave. I know the theology but to those who don't, this is vague enough to allow the enemy to possibly lead astray. The decision that is alluded to isn't really made clear what the decision must be based on. It makes it look like Jesus is a spectator in heaven and not actively interceding on our behalf. God bless

@@tamathacoatney9799 Yes, God's day has remained the same, only difference between the beginning of this earth and now is mankind has rejected their creators seventh day sabbath, for a day that the lord never told them to remember all because he resurrected on that day(Sunday), the Christians after the apostles died had disdain for the Jews that had killed the creator in the flesh.
They resented the Jews so much they decided they wanted nothing to be related to them to the point that they would have another day of worship instead of the Lords Seventh day Sabbath (Saturday). For the day that Jesus Christ resurrected(Sunday,first day of the week) which Jesus never told them to, effectively leading almost all other generations to keep this new "Tradition of man inspired by the devil" serving satan unknowingly throughout the later centuries, but God's truth could never be silenced by Satan. I know some people would be offended by the artist depictions of Jesus ( white/blue eyes), and although i would have like to have seen some things different myself ( mostly more facts); I think the main focus ( The great controversy) was beautifully and intelligently designed. I'm really glad there's no pictures of Jesus, so all we have to focus on is Spirit.

What was that white disc in the girl's hand near the end of the video? It looked somewhat like a wafer/eucharist. There were also some other things that didn't gel with me, like when Jesus cried out on the cross It Is Finished, the Bible says He cried out with a loud voice. But in the video, it was hardly a whimper. The video was very hard to follow chronologically. Quite confusing actually.

Several years ago at Southern University there was an animation project that was started on "The War in Heaven" but they lacked funding to complete it. I was so sad about that and when someone told me about this film I was so happy to know that someone did it! But I'm confused about one part in this story. They show the War in Heaven happening after the Cross. The war between Michael and His angels and the devil and his angels happened even before the earth was created. Satan was thrown out of heaven before the creation of the earth as he was already the arch rebel that seduced Eve. Revelation is not written in chronological order as Revelation 12 is just sharing different visions that John received. Revelation is written in a chiastic form. See The Story of Redemption, pg. 17
That confused me too!
The war in heaven started at Satan’s initial rebellion and although he was kicked out of heaven as his home he still had audience before God. So the war in heaven continued as he also continued to accuse God of being unjust before the unfallen angels, other worlds, fallen angels, man until after the cross when Satan no longer could have audience before God in heaven as the ruler of the world anymore because Jesus had claimed it again.
Remember the story of Job when the sons of God (followers of most High) and many believe they were the representatives of the unfallen worlds would come before God, Satan would too as the representative of this world. But once Jesus was crucified and rose in victory overcoming sin and Satan , Satan could no longer have this audience.
The Scriptures below are in relation to after the cross.
"Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."
John 12:31-32 KJV

At the cross he was no longer allowed access to Heaven where the sons of God came and met before God. But clearly the war with he and his angels happened before earth was even created. The war is continuing but since the cross only on earth as satan and his rebel angels fight the unfallen angels who fight them when we pray for protection.
Exactly right. The war has transferred to earth and after the Cross then Satan had no more access to the counsel meetings in Heaven. That is why he is so angry. He knows after the judgment is over in Heaven, Jesus will come back and claim the earth as His! Daniel 7:26,27

This is an interesting interpretation of The Great Controversy and some parts seem folkloric. We really have to be careful not to add to or subtract in any way from the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy because a little leven can cause a lot of unintended harm.

I would highly ask you to reconsider your intentions of showing this in class. I am not sure if you have read the actual books by EGW upon which this is supposedly based on. Just watching the beginning of this, the whole reason for the rebellion here is actually contrary to the truth. It completely negates the real reason for the rebellion and therefore denying the truth of God.
Honestly never read it in its entirety. I did question the guy Samuel near death experience and how the Angel carry him around explained certain thing, etc...but I actually plan on viewing a 2nd time and reading the original copy.

Can you know what the scriptures taught without Paul's letters? Absolutely, but good decided to use Paul to bring to light that which you might not see or understand.

Beautifully done! However, a little more diversity in the appearance of the participants would create a feeling of inclusion for everyone in the story of redemption. Some people groups have said that Christianity is a religion of Europeans. My students of Asian and African background have asked me if everyone was white in Bible times, simply because of artwork. As an artist and teacher, I make an effort to have my presentation slides show diversity in stories of creation and the flood, etc. Whenever possible, it is wise to convey the truth that this is the history of all humanity.
That was my comment. I have no children, but my young adult great nieces and nephews and their parent had issue with the la k of diversity thus the youngest generation didn't even give it a chance.
I also noticed that all the occupants of "heaven" were white. Kids wrote it off.

Thanks for this video. I didn't watch it online but I downloaded it and watched it before I slept. I had to shed tears all along because of how God was dealing with sin, Lucifer and how he's saving mankind from the mess he involved himself in. I found the video so emotional. Thank God for his love ,justice ,mercy and long-suffering . Praised be to his name for eternity.
This video can appeal to many of the generations who love the graphic novel, cartoons and animated films, so it is valuable. As a mature adult, I prefer to read the book. It’s so historically and Biblically accurate and so powerful.

Honeslty, I have to say it’s sad. Good art style but not biblical at all. Just read the Bible, you don’t need anything else besides the Word of God that was given to us through His Spirit. God bless you with enlightenment.
As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, here are my objections to that video:
#1: The sequence of the war in heaven was placed after the Resurrection. And it's quite clear it predated Creation. To believe otherwise is unbiblical and contradicts the SOP.
#2: It was objectionable to see how the angels deemed it necessary to remind God that action was necessary. When it's not necessary. Because He's God. This seems to have been the same mistake made when that movie "The Record Keeper" came out. God doesn't need human beings to be His advisors. It's elementary, my dear Watson. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.
#3: The video made it look as if the angels had no clue of the plan of salvation. If Adam and Eve knew about it, expecting every successive generation (including Seth) to be the Savior, the angels certainly knew about it. Maybe they couldn't comprehend the idea of their King dying for humanity, but they certainly knew. And everything the angels did from the Fall through the Resurrection was to advance that cause.
#4: There was no mention of the Trinity and how they had existed for eternity past, nor was there a mention of Jesus' feeling of separation from his Father. (I sincerely hope this video wasn't made by a nontrinitarian cult).
#5: The scenes of the Protestant Reformation were too brief and failed to mention the early Reformation (such as the Hussites). Martin Luther certainly was the catalyst that made the Reformation cool, but he wasn't the first reformer.
#5: Jesus is portrayed as distant, disconnected, and clueless.
I have no idea what the makers of this video were thinking, but I strongly suggest they go back to the drawing board and spend some time in fervent prayer.

Believe or not God showed one of the many pillars of the Adventist faith about the Personality of God and of Christ. God is indeed a Personal God you can know who He is by getting to know Jesus.

I wish there were more color diversity in this film, it depicts a narrow point of view. Also, i wish the bible verses that represented each scene was incorporated. As an adventist showing this to a non believer would think its just a "cool" story
Hello, I'm a soon to be official Adventist. I think this is a fairly good start for the non-believer as an introduction, but there's also room to show that person what scripture actually says. Overall, I understand where you're coming from
My thoughts exactly Ethan. I think in 55 mins; they were able to capture the arcing theme of the Great Controversy, which one would hope it leads non-believers to want to ask and seek more answers. I think this animation is a great conversation starter which would hopefully spark a Bible study in which one could show in the Bible the verses each scene represented.

Those historical events are infrequently taught in school. Incorporating the dates would make them check if those events really happened.

But one day soon when the game is over GOD will play the scene real for us to see and we can sit back and watch the game from the begining in details and how many times GOD send his angels to save us from death until you have accepted him and walk in the light till end of the game

As an artist myself I genuinely got excited about the art. But unfortunately I cannot share this video with others, as the narration leave too many gray areas and fallacies. Stunning art, but so disappointing that it cannot be used as a worthy tool for discipleship.

It was very disappointing in my opinion
As a blue-eyed man, I was greatly relieved and gratified to learn that Heaven will only be populated with people and angels with blue eyes. Evidently, people and angels with brown or orange eyes will clearly be lost for all eternity.
Apparently - they've been mass mailing copies of the book to residents across the US (Portland, Oregon got it recently) and I guess that was for the older folks. This is 'supposed' to be for kids/teens I suppose, but I found the film quite disappointing. It didn't really present any information that a basic Christian would not know - and the whole of the new earth being made up of blue-eyed individuals was, um, an interesting choice. I don't think this will captivate the audience they were hoping for.

they didnt want to listen to God. many use the flood as a excuse to say He is cruel and unmerciful. He gave them plenty of time to get on the ark. And yes there was plenty of room. this is my favorite display of God's mercy. do ppl really think God needed a flood? He couldve used any other means to end the life of the wicked. he gave them warning and a means to escape. but they hated God so much they didnt heed the flood warning. had they listened and boarded the ark their lives wouldve been spared. the flood literally exposed the evil that was in their hearts.
Praise the Lord. Cant imagine all the hard work behind this animation. Now let someone else out there be inspired and maybe make an even better version to capture the detail of the Great Controversy between God and Satan.

After watching this movie, its not all accurate which is why it's so important to READ the Book, The Great Controversy for ourselves, along with The BIBLE AND to do so before they're BOTH banned! @@susankane8728 Susan, this video denied that God explained the Plan of Salvation to Adam and Eve, and denied that God explained that same Plan to the angels, when The Great Controversy very clearly explains that He did, and even the Bible makes it clear.
There were many other discrepancies.
To imply that it is OK to lie to young minds is a serious error.
Statutes, I repeat, nothing was denied. I’m sure that God conveyed to Adam and Eve that He loved them, and obedience to Him was necessary for their well being; as for the angels, they had the clear example of Lucifer’s fall, through pride and disobedience. This film could not go into every detail that the book could, but told all that was needed for young minds to understand: There is good and evil, and good is obedient, in love, to the Creator God.

The art work here is beautiful but animation wise/acting unfortunately this is not super clear. It’s also to dark. Jesus is the hope in the controversy and it doesn’t need to be so emo? GC changed my life and helped me see Jesus beauty,hope and encouraged me to read the Bible. This art work would be cool in a comic book if done less doom and gloom. Jesus is hope,joy beauty and light. It’s so off everyone is so light skinned and also it’s just very disjointed as it moved around unlike most animations. Though if it’s more for creative comic book people I could see them really liking it. I still applaud anyone’s effort as no way this was easy.
