He lived two blocks away. I even met my wife there. Been going on and off to the Rainbow since 1987 when I first saw Lemmy playing PacMan in the upstairs bar.

Yes, it is. Wasn't there originally. The Rainbow in the 80s was packed like sardines. Me and Scott (Lemmy's assistant) used to smoke a shit load of weed out there and in the alcove leading outside via stairs from the upstairs bar. You know what I'm talking about.

I love Lemmy's logic. An appartment close to your favourite watering hole. Wish I could do the same, but there are no rock 'n roll bars near here, nor anywhere else. Rap and Dance Clubs screwed us all! I blame the so-called "music" industry for what they did to us rockers! Bunch of greedy, money hungry idiots who care more about the quick buck than the craft.
I'm a rock guy but it wasn't the industry, it was change in tastes...MTV did a nationwide vote on what type of music audiences would prefer rock or rap...I think in like 1990...and it was overwhelmingly for rap...and not all of it is bad if you look in the right places...suicide boys, ghostemane...also older rap artists like Nas or DMX...anyways I'm glad rock is not as popular anymore because it's something that is special to me and I'm tired of the industry trying to dilute rock music with crappy, poser bands. Besides the concerts are way more intimate and less posers to enjoy the concert with.

I've never been a 'idol/hero' type person. Any of my "idols" I couldn't care less about meeting them or getting an autograph from them, to me they are just people Lemmy is the only exception to that rule.
