The former Heisenberg makes a rotary device activated by his car keys to mount his M60 for a final showdown with Jack Welker's gang of Neo-Nazis.

Walt is never happier than when he's working alone on his hobbies.......
Literaly me
Same with me working on my car.
Or when he’s… breaking bad.
Us
Except when he's with his family
It's just fucking adorable.
Jessie wanted a robot in season 1.
And Walter makes one for him in the finaly so he can be free.
Except he wasn't intending to free Jessie. He wanted to kill the gang because they were stesling his stuff. Jessie just happens to be there. Walt always just cared for Walt.
@@mariades1423 He took a bullet for Jesse that ended up killing him, risked his future with Gus by running over his men to save Jesse. He let Jane die to save Jesse from a overdose, maybe some of that was for him but the intention was clearly for Jesse. It was also evident he didn’t care at all about the money, as he executed Jack right before he was going to talk about it, plus he already gave his family money. And again, after the fight with Jesse, Walter calls his own son “Jesse”. So yeah Walter did care about Jesse, maybe wasn’t the most perfect and honest relationship but it was definitely a thing. (He whispered Jesse in the car when Badger and Skinny P were talking about him, right after he threatened Gretchen and Eliott
@@mariades1423 not True, Walt loved Jesse in a twisted way. He decked Jesse and took a bullet for him to save his life, he never needed Jesse again after this scene so it literally served him no benefit to save Jesse here.
It was in season 2 "4 days off", not season 1

ENGINEER GAMING
Walter is an immoral character but you have to admire his strength and ingenuity in the face of insane adversity. He's near death, a wanted man, completely on his own, but still works tirelessly to defeat his enemies and make sure he takes care of everything with what little time he has left.
He is not immoral. He is amoral which means that he creates his own morals.
He's an engineer. He has "a very particular set of skills" that others do not. Not just in making meth, but in many things. He can ruin your day. Gus and Jack alike were not technically literate people and didn't understand what he could do.
He's all of us we can all break bad given the circumstances
@@scientistmilorad9735that is not what amoral means
@@wspencerwatkins If only you would enlighten me.

This is the moment when a chemical becomes a mechanical engineer
He is a Nobel level scientist after all
@@baronpersimmon5625 bro it's not that hard to make that thing
@@hhhhhhhhh1071 True that. What is brilliant is not the machine itself, but its practicality despite simplicity. It executes exactly what needs to be executed without taking too much material and mental resources.
@@hhhhhhhhh1071 Tell me what materials and a step-by-step instruction to make it.
@@AQuestioner he actually talks about that under another comment
Walt is singing “El Paso” I think the writers purposefully left out this lyric
“Something is dreadfully wrong for I feel a deep burning pain in my side
It's getting harder to stay in the saddle
I'm getting weary, unable to ride”
it would have be too much foreshadowing.
Majority of the audience wouldn't have got it
@@Reverse_Goat lol very true. But we would 😜
The fact that he is mumbling the lyrics to El Paso by Marty Robbins is what makes this one of my favorite BrBa scenes.
I love how few fucks he gives about the fact that he is rigging an m60.
It’s so awesome

This was interesting to watch as he's just casually building machine with the intention to murder an entire gang, Walter singing and using all his advanced knowledge makes this kinda relaxing before the big final aftermath
He just enjoying it, Because his goal is to get Revenge and he know he will Succeded
Dude, you're all over the place, lol
Well, well, well. What a surprise.
I remember people complain how someone like Gus could possible be killed by a chemistry teacher like Walter. He wasn’t. Gus was killed by a really smart, really resourceful man.
Walt was massively over qualified for his job, it's part of his character in the begining that he had aimed low most of his life and once he got cancer he realised he had nothing to lose.
Gus stretched out his torture of Hector Salamanca for much too longer than necessary.
He gave Hector too long a time to figure out another approach for revenge.
Plus, everyone underestimated him. They knew that he was a chemical and scientific genius, but they didn't think that he could be a criminal mastermind.
gus was killed by his hubris
A genius who would have been a billionaire if he didn’t let his ego get in the way of his success.
“Hey look, buddy, I’m an engineer.”
Lê com a voz do Walter white
if you notice he is singing " el paso" by marty robbins in this scene under his breath. The song makes another appearance later in the finale also, which happens to be titled" Felina" . Felina is the main object of affection in the song, and represents Walts object of affection ( blue meth) in breaking bad. Vince Gilligan is pretty slick
Breaking bad has alot of know it all fans, doesn't it?

As a mechatronic engineer. That turret is actually a pretty simple design. Any one could probably build it in a few hours provided you knew what you were doing.
Mythbusters actually tried this and the fact that this is actually possible is quite dangerous
@@quietkid5689The homemade turret isn't the dangerous part here.
Windshield wiper transmissions are very similar to this.

1:05 Bryan Cranston wanted to be in LotR
He settled for Breaking Bad
He compromised
I love the fact he knows how to build a moveing machine gun and that he bought all moving parts from a convinience store
It's not that complicated, all you need is a car battery, 2 hinges, 2 metal supports, the gun itself and something to hold it together
@@hhhhhhhhh1071 yeah enginnering is crazy
@@hhhhhhhhh1071 it's also crazy smart as the motor is actually a garage door opener. With the right side of pivot arms This actually does work in real life MythBusters tested this.
@@LateLostvery obvious it would work though. Similar things have existed for a long time
@@Maverick-uf1sz yeah maybe if recoil didnt exist. I'll suspend disbelief for tv but you show me a turret stand that can handle that and still sit perfectly horizontal while cyclic and rotoring back and forth...no way.
Waltuh, it's engineerin' time. 😤
He couldn’t even hold a gun right in season 1. Shows how far he’s come
I like how the gun is pointing at Walte's general direction, Nice detail
nice catch
You know Walt lowkey had a blast building that thing
Scary thing is with enough time invested anyone could make this
It's not particularly ambitious. Some people go way further.
I hate to break it to you, but outside of America it is pretty much impossible to get your hands on an M60. It's not that achievable.
Well, except for the M60 machine gun part.
@@Sursionlol you definetly can in Mexico, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg but it's doable

“ For those who ask how Walter could have built that machine ? you see the chemistry majors are also taking courses of physics and math. So there is that.“ Walter white
The guy he bought the gun from said it came with directions.
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 I doubt it was instructions on how to build a turret...
I don't remember when Walter said this
Taking courses of Physics and Math does not enable you to design a mechanical system. It takes four years of Mechanical Engineering to do so. It would have been more appropriate if Walt had outsourced it like he did that "Magnet" to junkyard guys.
@@armughanshafique9538anyone could make that with a little thinking
Ah, the M60. God’s gift to earth
This reminds me of Hal building the robot in Malcom in the middle lol
Walt was also smart enough to know that he needed a NAPA Legend battery to power the door opener!
Good thing they parked exactly in the right spot…
Walt’s shown several times to be creative in Bomb making, killing both Tuco and Gus with surprise bombs. With his chemistry skills constructing a decent sized bomb in the back of the trunk wouldn’t have been much of a problem. And a bomb doesn’t care where you park.
Walter was driving when he parked, he's the one who chose where to do it. He's also been there before so he knew the layout. His escort even said to park elsewhere, but went "whatever" when Walter disobeyed. After all, what could an old disheveled dying man do?
Tuco was not killed by a bomb. Hank shot him.
@@Leon_Ryu He could pack the car full of explosives and carry a dead-man switch. Because of that they actually stopped him in front of the gates, made him leave and walk to the house on foot. Because they're not complete morons. But Walt was so self-deluded he imagined this bullshit instead and forced us to watch it.
@@skeletonmakesgoodWhere in the hell this guy saw Walter killing Tuco with a bomb?
@@nxmx6ix Good question! Ha! It sure wasn't on Breaking Bad, was it?
I suppose he means when Walt threw the mercury fulminate causing the explosion in Tuco's office, but it didn't kill him.
Just a guess.
as a mechanical engineer working in the missile defense industry, i approve this video.
But can a guy with Chemistry background do that. I don't think so.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to built an automated sentry gun especially in this day and age where one can easily scour the internet for blueprints you can directly take or modify not to mention with the advert of 3D printing, it's easier than ever these day. All one need is the time and resources to realize it.
Damn dude have many kids have you killed? 😂
was this a d-fens reference?
1:05 This is the moment when the One Ring tempts Walt to use it.
Bravo Vince AND Peter Jackson.
I’m not sure if I ever saw anyone pick up on this but, felina(other than being an anagram for meth, blood, and tears) was the name of the woman in Marty Robbins El Paso song which Walt was humming to while he was building the turret.
One of the lines go :” night time would find me in roses Cantina, music would play, and Felina would whirl”
Felina was the machine gun
As a tradesman I appreciate the quality of tools he has. Milwaukee one of the best!
is that tuco's house 0:03
sure
How do you come up to that conclusion
See what you can do when you apply yourself?
walt should have said "i made up my mind x amount of time ago" however long it had been since hank was killed
Wouldve been cool, but it also makes no sense in the context
There's an interesting tension between scientists and engineers. Scientists do the basic research that establishes the foundation for engineering, but can get lost in theory, endlessly researching more shit and accomplishing nothing. Engineers take what scientists discover and turn it into something that is actually useful. Walt is an engineer, whether it be drugs, bombs or machine guns.
In rare cases, such as Archimedes, Avicenna (Ibn Sina) or Leonardo da Vinci, you get both. But in general, that is the divide that has characterized science since it began.
My father is an engineer. He can take apart and put back together a motorcycle, flawlessly, with his eyes closed. I admire engineers and feel they are underappreciated, because while scientists built the foundation for the modern world, engineers are the ones who actually *built* the modern world. They take theory and actualize it.
I'm engineer too (I've a degree), but feel bad for scientists. They less likely get a chance for high paid job. Also they work for the future.
- Study engineering to make your own life easier.
- Study science to make your great grandchildrens' life easier.
@@mandarbamane4268 The AI breakthroughs of the last five years or so, which directly enable a new wave of engineering, started with people in the 1940s wanting to make...well, our lives easier, today.
People today have a high time-preference, the art of becoming a polymath has been lost to time but many many great thinkers, scientists, philosophers and engineers of the past were equally well-versed in other subjects as you point out. Sadly the world has evolved and the nature of work rewards specialisation.
"ai breakthroughs", so like generating fake titties? spellcheckers for people that cant spell? self-driving teslas crashing into each other? yeah wow, what a revolution bro.

Walt uses more gun
This is when Walt really became McGiver. Bravo Vince!
2 years prior he didn’t even know how to use a handgun, now he’s literally building a spinning death machine
“And you best hope, not pointed at you…”
A scientist would never connect the negative terminal first when connecting cables to a battery.
imagine if the gun jammed after like 2 bullets. would be kinda akward
Thats why you only buy from the best
I love how he is humming El Paso by Martin Robins
Why i cant i find the footage of Bryan Cranston being forced to actually build and install this for the show
Only a Milwaukee could handle a job like this
Nothing but heavy duty
Uncle Jack did Nazi this coming
Milwaukee tools should use this clip as an Ad.
This is the moment Walt became Frodo
Fascinating how the first shot is a prefiguration of the gun's final purpose. This show was so brilliantly written
Reusing the same scences from old episodes is good it let's us know how to relate to the characters based on past events....
A milwaukee man i see
It just now hit me that Felina, the title and song he's singing, ends with the main character dying. Like the show. The foreshadowing was so on point in this series.
1:11 that's the exact moment when Mr. Lambert became Frodo Beggins
“I’ve still got some things left to do.”
Yes you did Walt.
NEED A SENTRY HERE! buildin a sentry! MEDIC
I just now realize that he’s using gear wrenches for the reciprocating mechanism, that’s what’s giving it that ratcheting sound…..
That car key is too good for that car lol
All milwaukee walt knows whats up
Walter white built this in the desert! With a box of scraps! And a gun!
He solves practical problems
"WALTER WHITE I CAN HANDLE JUST FINE, BUT HEISENBERG IS LIKE A CAR WITH A MACHINE GUN!"
Just realized something. The motor for the machine gun turret is a garage door opener. But the key fob he uses to trigger it is a car key fob. I know those are probably more recognizable, but I wonder why they didn't just have Walt use the garage door opener (make it into a key chain if needed) rather than using the car key fob. Still a great and memorable scene. Cheers.
I love scenes like this that are in movies and shows like taxi driver or breaking bad
The guy who sells the machine gun and 38 snub reminds me of the guy who sells Travis the guns. And he ends up selling him a Cadillac in the end too

buildin a sentry
Me after learning raspberry pi for the first time
"Holy shit...Mr.White...someone put a gun in your trunk!"
My favorite scene in the whole show.
Walt is smart enough to use a machine gun. With his sick, old and dying body, there is no way he can rush in with an assault rifle, to take on the entire gang even if they have pistols only. Basically, he is using the leverage of a robot, to help him shoot down bad guys.
I thought Walter White was an Antihero until saw he’s a Milwaukee Guy. That makes him an Everyman
Cool little detail in the beginning which looks like jacks gang hideout after the shooting massacre
All of Walt’s best ideas come to light in the desert 🌵 😌
I had a project on 4bar mechanisms lets say this did the job
This scene shown again later on was so wild that it was reconstructed in mythbusters show
1:13 Goodnight Irene...
Feels like movie 70-80s
Walt would know to connect the "positive" terminal first
Is he at Hector's house from season 2?
Walter White is dead at that moment, same as heisenberg, there is mr. Lambert
Must have taken him a sentry to build.
On top of being a Master Chemist, Walt built:
a car battery out of plastic tubs, sponges and copper,
a bomb out of a material from a kid's toy,
and a remote swivel to support and auto-fire a M-60.
He also founded a multi-billion-dollar company called Gray Matter.
Yet, he chose to produce Meth.
I never noticed he was humming El Paso. Fitting.
Walt finally realizes there’s no way in hell he’s ever going to win in a gun fight. For some reason, it took him all of season 4 to figure that out.
Wait for it.. Wait for it
This is when Walter White became MacGyverberg
There was a huge chance that his plan would fail... but he was dying anyway so he took the risk.
So this is where all these minerals come from
This was a make a wish from a dying 8 year old who wanted a robot machine gun to kill all the bad guy
Red jumper cable first on last off
this is the moment when heisenberg becomes Mcgyver
You know in Better Call Saul, in the first episode where you see him out his keys in the mailbox he puts the same key fob that Walter uses here for the turret 🤔🧐
This is probably my 3rd favorite show of all time but it has the best ending I've ever seen on TV or cinema period... killed himself to get jesse out of there because he realizes just how shit everything was
Mr White is a fucking genius. Who the hell could think of a weapon like this
So now everything is explained.... Walter White broke bad because he was under the influence of the One Ring!!!!
