I wonder why older Japanese cars have more characters on their looks, today's Japanese cars look so soulless.

For the Celica, SSIII means it's not a real GT-Four. SS III is one of the lower trim levels that's still non-turbo FWD (in stock form.) Better than a base one, but not awd turbo. So like a GTS in the states.
For the dealerships with the rx7 and fairlady z, I believe 79 means 790,000 yen.
Ahh ok thanks for the clarification on the Celica! As far as the yen goes you are also correct. Someone explained it to me later after I made this video.

I always wanted to go to Japan and just walk around junkyards and dealerships looking at awesome cars. i do have a request for some cars I wish to see in future videos. any Honda Civic EG6 & EK9 hatchbacks and Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno hatchbacks. thanks in advance.

that's an SS3 with GT4 panels. It's in the same power n handling class as integra type r. can outlap a DC2 if done right. DC2 have commented the great feedback from super strut geometry

Japan is a very beautiful country...... I always loved Japan since I was 5 watching the Japanese commercials on tv...... I wish I can take my Nissan cefiro a31 to Japan and just drive it's original home country 😢.......it's like taking a kid to the park lolz

Hey I live here in Oki too, just a bit of info on the pricing for the cars at the dealerships that don't post the price in dollars. The prices are in yen, of course, and it is the price for the whole car usually. But for example the automatic black FC RX7 the price said 58万円 which is 580,000 yen, around $5,800. So when you see the price sign on the cars at Japanese dealers in yen, just add two zeroes at the end and thats the approximate price in dollars. Ex: 78万円 is about $7,800, 98万円 is about $9,800, 103万円 is about $10,300.

For dealer's 20K price for example @ 20.000 base price I have a HKS 6 speed 600 HP fully built R32 GTR right now on Okinawa. Probably fully US delivered at $23.000.

I think the best thing to do is to go to a dealership in Japan that isn't Americanized, because with the prices like that on the r32, I'm sure they inflated the price to sell to tourists or Americans who want a deal.
I would buy that r32 if I can find one 20k in socal right fucking now.

all ae86s are able to be imported into the states. the last year was 87, you can import anything from 91 and back.

I like the red hatch in the thumbnail . ide love to have something like that with a dank sleeper setup. like a really fast engine that is smooth and quiet like the Buick 3.8 . that engine has very smooth torque and it can be boosted.i have a old Buick lesaber and I love how smooth the acceleration is and the car is heavy but rides like a cloud. I can imagine if you put that engine in a light Japanese car it would fly. I've also not had one bit of problems with the car engine wise . I know for a fact that you can supercharge it and I'm sure you can turbo them . if you don't believe me find someone that owns a Buick with the 3.8 not the 3.0 the 3.0 is a deadbeat pos.

gustus plenty of r32 and r33 gtrs around but haven't seen the r34 gtr for sale for quite a while now. I still remember that r34 black mspec nur on trademe for quite a while. saw that around town in Wellington for a bit too. Probably the only one in the country.

You might have found out by now, but usually those prices refer to k-yen (I forgot the japanese word for it) so 79 = 79k yen.

Here in Ireland, the Ae 86's do be going for 10 to 17,000 euro so that price isn't to bad, and there not that rare in Ireland either, there does be a lot of them for sale, there loved here, but the price every year is just going up and up on them
My GTR was $25,000 when I bought it from an importer in the USA. I'm look into trying to import it myself in 2021... a Stagea will be mine!

Its not a starlet, but a Glanza in Japan. Fun part is that you can import these to US/EU as a normal starlet. Which means that the Tax and inssurance are going to be cheap!
It's a Starlet Glanza V, it's a 1.3 turbo, great starter tuner cars, they'll go off the clock at 180km/h an top out at 220.

About the "weird" price on those cars, it's shortened, you need to add 4 zeros at the end . For example, the white FC with the "79" means 790,000 Yens. A price of 145 would be 1450000 Yens, and so on. It's a little weird, I also didn't understand it at first.

might car mods built a nissan stagea a few months ago, they swapped the rb26 (which was on it's last legs) with a 4L nissan V8 and added a turbo. it produced if i can remember 500+ hp.
