I'm a referee. I've been telling players for a while to stop trying to bait me into making a call. If a violation occurs, I'll call it. But don't be the initiater, with all the theatrics on display looking towards me asking for that call. Play on. Nothing there.

The thing is, NBA players are trained to throw the 3 up if they get excessively contacted beyond the 3. Like, his man is straight up body bumping him outside the 3. If he was James harden and he did an exaggerated flopping motion after this shot he is getting the call 100%, especially since the defender swiped down with his left hand too.

I didn't necessarily want them to berate him, just not make excuses and dismiss the incident, as egregious as it was. Players are frustrated with the game being rigged and controlled by the refs....gonna be more coming in the years to come from all sports...you gotta blame legalized betting..
It goes both ways. And for most of the regular season the players are going at 80% for much of the game, then in the last five minutes they turn it up and try hard. They don't want to damage the cash cow (their body) over a long season.
