I loved this game, but I had totally forgotten about it. Thanks for the upload. This is crazy. As I said, I totally forgot that this game even existed, but now that I watch this video, I even remember how the button pushes felt at every stage of the game, because I played it so much as a kid.
I just loved playing this game. One of the best games I ever played on the game gear. But also one of the hardest. The normal stages been okay but some of the passages in the enemys base been pretty damn tough.
i just plaid the first shinobi game gear game on a game gear and i rely liked it and the next day i surprisingly found the part II on a flee for less than a dollar without even looking for it.
A total masterpiece in my dear Game Gear. Good graphics, perfectly balanced gameplay, and legendary Yuzo Koshiro music. I loved playing this game in my childhood and have a soft spot for it.
Finally!! I forgot the name of this game, knew it was ninja something lol. My favourite game back then. Loved that you could change character and the music oh the music. Now need to get hold of a copy😁
To me at the time the 'open world' gameplay of Shinobi II, collecting the coloured Shinobi's and revisiting previous areas with there new abilities to gain access to hidden areas was revolutionary.
It's more likely the other way around. The ability to repel water is what requires training and concentration. Suspending said concentration would be enough.
One of my favorite OST, and I loved all the " easy part " before Enemy's Base, each character having its own gameplay was something great to me at the time, also the game felt mature in comparison of other platformers I've been played on Game Boy. I wish they made more Shinobi games like this one.
Used to play this game allllll the time as a kid! I knew this game like the back of my hand. Game Gear was so cool. I still have mine along with many systems. These kids today don't know about this man. If I ever have kids they have some cool times ahead. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
@lentoman Funny you should mention Mega Man. The first Game Gear Shinobi game had some Mega Man-esque elements(selecting stages in any order, disappearing block platforms, refighting bosses).
I remember playing this as a kid, and not doing so great. Its been a while, but whats the story behind this game? 5 ninja dudes go and steal some crystals, 5 other ninja dudes go get them back?
I played this when I was a kid a few times. I really liked the idea of getting 5 crystals. Only thing with these games, I wish they would tell you where to go and have a map for each level.
The only game gear game I cared about. Brilliant with managing the team. For a game gear game it handled well, great audio, and keeping the game engaging with always having to change your character(my poor game gear 😭)
Don't get me wrong I think Musashi and his Ninja students were badass in the first GG game but is it me? Or are they ten times more badass in this one?
3:15 wasn't there a boss in MegaMan similar to this, only harder? 4:15 sound from nemesis 2 when boss dies? 7:50 reminds me a lot of metal gear music. xD
Probably because unlike a console title this is a handheld game not intended for long play sessions. First, because of the battery life and second, this being a portable game it would be most likely subjected to constant interruptions, like during a travel.
What sucks about these long plays for the games you’ve played before, is that it annoys me that he used red ninja for most of the gameplay. I used the green and blue ninjas more than the red.
I loved this game when I was 12y and I spento afternoons looking for cheating codes trying letter After letter. AF7E7 gave lot of lives and last level ❤️
Best game ever, great story, great music great gameplay oh man, this is my childhood...i could play all day long,i knew everything about this one...
I loved this game, but I had totally forgotten about it. Thanks for the upload.

nostalgia overload. played this so much and was my fav game. can't beat yellow. thx for the video.
懐かしすぎる。
これはBGMも気に入ってた神ゲーだった。
I used to finish this game as a kid. Now i am playing it on my GBA with a GG emulator. Never knew there was a part two!!!
Same here...
Is it SMS/GG 100-in 1 (“Sega classics” - transparent blue)?
Same I feel cheated.. I know I would have bought it..
revenge of shinobi is the direct sequel to this one?
Such awesome music !
Also the level and boss designs are excellent !
I just loved playing this game. One of the best games I ever played on the game gear. But also one of the hardest. The normal stages been okay but some of the passages in the enemys base been pretty damn tough.
this was a brilliant game. it even had game save codes so you didn’t have to play from the very beginning every time. great sound too
i just plaid the first shinobi game gear game on a game gear and i rely liked it and the next day i surprisingly found the part II on a flee for less than a dollar without even looking for it.
people dont know the gems that they have in their hands lol Good for you then ^^
A total masterpiece in my dear Game Gear. Good graphics, perfectly balanced gameplay, and legendary Yuzo Koshiro music. I loved playing this game in my childhood and have a soft spot for it.
Saving the ninja world, one arm fold at a time.
Walks on water ✔
Uses a cross to fight ✔
Yellow Shinobi is Jesus confirmed
Finally!! I forgot the name of this game, knew it was ninja something lol. My favourite game back then. Loved that you could change character and the music oh the music. Now need to get hold of a copy😁
One of my fav game gear games along with lucky dime caper. For 8 bit the graphics are great they have aged really well
Both my favorite. Had them growing up.
To me at the time the 'open world' gameplay of Shinobi II, collecting the coloured Shinobi's and revisiting previous areas with there new abilities to gain access to hidden areas was revolutionary.
Never could beat these types of games when I was younger.
Started trying to beat it yesterday night and played for 3 hours. Saved my password and practiced the final level for 2 hours and I beat it😀
Splendid music
s
Splendid gimmick

Splendid character

It’s a very superior work.
I love these.
I had this game as a kid.
And I could never beat it. >_
i was 11 when i had it. i beat it fast like in 3 days but ate up the batteries
I always wondered how the Yellow Ninja would take a shower.
Yes XD
Nullifying his own power for a few minutes. Surely cancelling one's own power must be part of the training of any worthy ninja ;)
It's more likely the other way around. The ability to repel water is what requires training and concentration. Suspending said concentration would be enough.

I beat this game when I was 5. I love it. The music brings back so many memories
@Bastiest The Game Gear was blessed with those two exclusives. I think there're better than a lot of the other Shinobi games to be honest.
wow this is a very impressive game gear game
Go Go Shinobi Rangers. ;-)
Muito bom esse game, foi bem desafiador, valeu por ter postado pois me ajudou muito.
My favorite Shinobi game
I loved this game as a kid.
Best Shinobi game.
I remember when i playded this game...i Was so proud to feel like à ninja
Catchy chimes!!
@lentoman Funny you should mention Mega Man. The first Game Gear Shinobi game had some Mega Man-esque elements(selecting stages in any order, disappearing block platforms, refighting bosses).
My favorite game when I was 10, thanks
Nostalgie 🤩
OMG! You could throw the yellow's weapon up! WHAT?! How did I never do this as a kid?!
I remember playing this as a kid, and not doing so great.
Its been a while, but whats the story behind this game?
5 ninja dudes go and steal some crystals, 5 other ninja dudes go get them back?

Obsessed with this when I was a kid
The GG Shinobi 2 (aka The Game Gear Shinobi 2 ) was my favorite Shinobi game on Game Gear that on castle level is easy even I beat the worm
After 30 years i see the end of this awesome game...! Ahahah - great soundtrack by the way
My brother had this on Game Gear. I liked it.
I never played this one. Just the first one. It pretty much looks the same, but the music seems to be more elaborate.
Played this today on ps3. What great memories and awesome on a 50 TV.
This was on PS3??
@@Sega_Dreams no I just played the iso on ps3
@@wozwoz-w3w Ah, damn. Thanks!
Amazing and the best GG games. I am buying a Game Gear just for this 2 Shinobis alone.
Any other classic GG recommendations?
Jurassic Park for Game Gear
The only game gear game I cared about. Brilliant with managing the team. For a game gear game it handled well, great audio, and keeping the game engaging with always having to change your character(my poor game gear 😭)
at 15:51 the background looks almost exactly like the water fall level in Contra.
Define nostalgia:
My childhood 😢
GG dude
Don't get me wrong I think Musashi and his Ninja students were badass in the first GG game but is it me? Or are they ten times more badass in this one?
Sega did an excellent job with Shinobi 2.
Man this game is hard. After watching this playthrough here i'm not gonna even try to beat it. Screw it!
Thank you! :^)
Thanos likes this
3:15 wasn't there a boss in MegaMan similar to this, only harder?
4:15 sound from nemesis 2 when boss dies?
7:50 reminds me a lot of metal gear music. xD
Is that suppose to be a map outline of HK island??!
Great game
very good
Is this refers to Revenge Of Shinobi
Damn i still remember the password,35 years old kid here, for entering the final chapter 👉ff4a8
It’s interesting how this had a password system but Shinobi 3 didn’t.
Probably because unlike a console title this is a handheld game not intended for long play sessions. First, because of the battery life and second, this being a portable game it would be most likely subjected to constant interruptions, like during a travel.
Best game ever
That yellow ninja think he Jesus lol.....with his big ass shuriken
The first boss battle reminds me of that one Mega Man boss
3DS e shop please Sega!
Sega or somebody failed to release this on the eshop for us.
What sucks about these long plays for the games you’ve played before, is that it annoys me that he used red ninja for most of the gameplay. I used the green and blue ninjas more than the red.
I wish I had had the two GG Shinobis rather than some of the crap I had for the Game Gear.
I remember the first code I put in this game (13E1F) 🥰🥰🥰
The final boss is god.damned.im.po.ssi.ble.
The GG Shinobi 2 The Silent Fury MERDE !!!
Someone needs to remake this game
Sooo... The Yellow Ninja is Jesus?
power ninja
Yuzo Koshiro
am i one of the few who finished this game?
Once I did, too! Wasn't able to do it a second time!
Their colour choice is abit "power ranger"´ish.
lol, the opening made me scared when i was a kid
+Zefanya Lt GG Shinobi
+Zefanya Lt me too lol I thought it was just me. I would have nightmares of the city level
Jesus Is Lord i know Jesus
Torin Jacobs i always either turn the sound off or pretend didn't see the entire scene lol
Niggaz b trippin' when the IndoZ gone.
