I am trying to take a trip to KI this summer. For anyone that has ridden Banshee, have you ridden Alpengeist? Curious to know how the two rides compare
Not sure if you made it out KI or not, but I'd say Banshee is a bit longer and more graceful than Alpengeist, and is super whippy in the back. Whereas Alpengeist is more aggressive and snappy, and overall a more intense ride. B&M, the manufacturer, makes their rides a lot more smooth and fluid now than they did in the 90s, and Banshee was built in 2014. Newer B&Ms don't have the bite that the 90s ones have lol. Lemme know your thoughts if you made it to KI! 😁
this is the best ride ive ever been on, better than orion. its at a great speed, its constantly putting you upside down, its a great behinner ride for sure. the final corkscrew always makes my stomach churn though
Every other ride in the park had signs on it that said there was no storage for personal items in the station, leave your stuff in a locker. But every other ride in the park DID have storage on the station and did allow people to use them. Banshee was the last ride I was going to go on and after waiting in line with my small backpack for the first time (since I left it in lockers before I saw every other ride allowed you to bring your stuff) I wasn't allowed to ride Banshee when I got there because I had my backpack (even if I just kept it on my back when I got to my seat - it was one of those really thin ones where the straps were the small nylon ropes). That made me very frustrated. Wish I could have gone on this but after waiting in line so long it was time to go.
so is this good for my first big rollar coaster because I've been wanting to ride it but I've always been to scared so I have some questions 1. is the ride smooth? 2. what's the probability of the restraints coming off? and 3. is the drop really scary or is it just really cool
