You've seen real life security camera footage ever in your life? Similar to military equipment, you don't record in 8K, or even 2K resolution. The amount of storage you need to record non-stop for an entire day would not only create an insane amount of excess heat, but weight, power consumption and a server to store all that data. If you've ever done some video editing in your life, and tried to use your regular old hard drive for a 4K project with over 8 hours of footage. Not only that, these drives need to be hot-swapped because data transfer would simply be too long. You'll need to buy a new hard drive. These planes record all day, every day. And the compromise is lower resolution but absolutely insane zoom abilities. That, and data corruption makes digital data more blurry and less detailed over time. It's why most countries have media data-banks that try and safe the material from 30+ years ago as well as they can. But you'll always notice the loss of detail if we use those images now, compared to when we saw them live (that and purposeful data compression to relieve server costs).
I hope you have a better camera than your phone if you ever see something. Because most likely it will be too far, too fast, and too quickly for you to act on it. So I'd like to say "do better" but, you likely won't. Nor the odds that you'll ever see something like it. I have, as an 11 year old 20+ years ago. Tried taking a picture with my mothers camera, but it was one of those cheaper one meant for family pictures. You could only see a spec on the horizon. We saw it move incredibly steady in a fast-but controlled pace. No sound, too fast for a balloon, and it looked metalic. On the picture you see a dot. That is it. The same dot you see in many of these pictures, and people like you who say what you say.
Change the argument dude. The fact that it's not the quality you want means absolutely nothing. That's what this equipment is built for. And these guys have other things on their minds besides worrying about an image coming out in 8k and extremely focused. I'm just saying that these jokes like that are already annoying and no longer serve as an argumentative basis.

Thunderfoot theorised that the GOFAST video object was a duck. Basically the video demonstrated the US military's tracking abilities. If it can track a duck from a moving aircraft, they can track anything larger.
That's still nuts! All those objects appear pretty small and could just be secret drones or weather balloons.
