You’re so right Zeos. After market tips make a big difference with the sound coming out of your IEM’s. I just received the Mangird Zenns Up I ordered and found the the supplied stock tips just didn’t do it justice. So I took my tip box and tried multiple tips that included Moondrop Spring tips, Softears Tips, Dunu Candy tips and many others. I found that the Sednafit light short blue tips gave me the exact sound I was looking for. The stocks tip could not deliver the sound I desired.
I love the Sedna short light and the vivids.

The Performer 8 is such an amazing iem for me like it’s crazy how 3d things are with this iem. Yes the bass is on the low side and the treble is just a hair on the higher than it needs to side but with high quality recordings it’s an actual star for me. Anything that’s more than the p8 will need to match its wide 3d soundstage and have a bit more bass and slightly reduced treble and we will have endgame performance. Unfortunately I’ve never heard anything that costs more than the p8 but it’ll have big shoes to fill.

The best tips for the Performa 8 are Final Type E. Nothing else comes close.
How does the Final Audio tips affect the sound of the P8?

You recommended the Tea2 to me and to date that’s my favorite IEM, not by any objective measure but because of its vibe. Think the P8 could be a direct upgrade to that? Heard on another review that they are very similar tuning wise
I love the tea 2, it’s got a perfect balance for metal. Also a bit of sparkle up top and a nice stage.
Think they might have adjusted the price since they told you, cause on their twitter account at least their advertising these as being 369.99

@@yarbles66 idk man, maybe you got a defective unit. Mine sounds better than the Sennheiser PC38x I was using. Especially when I use dsp on my dac amp.
@@ontiablo a pc38x - a fairly cheap, but good value, gaming specific headset - isn't going to be a good yardstick to measure anything except other gaming headsets by. A pair of $15 7hz Salnotes Zero will sound better than these for music (seriously).
The only thing I think they are quite good at is imaging - so they are OK for gaming (but not as good as your pc38x).
I've been very disappointed by both Kiwiears I got. I slightly preferred the Quintet but couldn't sell them quick enough.
I think when you try something else you'll very likely understand. If your experience is one pair, then you don't really have anything to compare to. Now you do.
It's a shame as they look absolutely stunning & they are extremely well built.
It's all subjective, but I'll be very surprised if you try a few other pairs around this price range (even lower) & don't prefer them massively.
I have the Performer 5 & I liked them (as did many - they were widely regarded as the best sub 300 & maybe still are by some - I use them as beaters now). I didn't get the 8 as they have even less bass than the 5's and that is my absolute minimum for bass, but I am sure they are excellent otherwise.
Hey Zeos, love the channel. Looking to get a new pair of IEM and the Performer8 seem like a great fit, I had a question though. How big are nozzles for ear tips? I have the blessing2's and the nozzle is so big that they get super uncomfortable during long listening sessions. Would you say the nozzles are smaller than the blessing's or bigger/same? Thanks for you time Zeos
The nozzle is pretty average, maybe like 4-4.5mm. The blessing are like 6.5. I just got the ap8 and the nozzle is slightly smaller than the performer 5. Spinfit cp100 would fit perfectly, as would something like sednaearfit vivid.
Definitely getting AFUL Performer 8 not an awful choice at all

Dunu has slightly better detail retrieval, the tone and timber is better on the p8
