The second world is about the fight in the void century when the allied kingdoms founded the WG and called themselves gods after killing the Sun God, aka Nika, aka Joyboy. The third world is about the conclusion, remember the lyrics of Bink's Sake. The first world is when someone fired an ancient weapon and the Red Line was created and the Ancient kingdom appeared to liberate the slaves against the human kingdoms.

This mural tells so much about the worlds mythology in just a single illustration and brings so many pieces together that have been built up since the very beginning. I think it was obvious when Luffy awakened and Shanks started to finally make his move. Their job was to gatekeep and to make sure HE was the one to find the One Piece..
I’ll say this again. It might sound like a crazy theory but I believe the void century is this current One Piece story. I think Joyboy and Nika are both Luffy interpretations in different communities. We’ve seen powers that allow people to time travel with Oden’s wife. In fact she wanted to settle in the era where Luffy existed, One was aware of it and that’s why he told her that she was in wrong era but since she fell in love with him, she said she was in the right era. Another thing is how Roger and the crew laughed so much and said they wish they had lived in the same era as Joyboy. It doesn’t say if it was in the past or the future. Joyboy made a promise to the fisherman princess, is exactly what Luffy did for Shirahoshi. Princess Lily is simply Vivi who indeed escaped Imu and will probably acquire the power of time travel. Imu is been aware of these prophecies and has been trying to change the future to avoid the final war. The samurai who slit a dragon from Wano looks exactly like Zoro, well Zoro did slit a dragon in Punk Hazard. Finally, I don’t see how Oda will get time to give us a whole backstory about the void century, that would take years to complete. But if the the current story and the void century are one and the same. It be easier. The Roger, the poneglyphs, the prophecies were all sent from the future to 800 years in the past to prepare for this exact war and prepare Luffy/Joyboy/Nika.

I feel like Blackbeard is the huge outlier in this entire thing. Where alot of people think blackbeard might be the moon but what if the prophecies and stuff never accounted for this anomaly in power cunning and ruthlessness.
Trueee, him being an anomaly would be very smart, that way we can get more plot twists when we get the final fight and the result of the battle won’t be as predictable
But then it’s also strange that a lot of the crew-members in the BB pirates give a lot of faith to the concept of fate and things being pre-written. So you’d think he’d be the opposite of an anomaly and just play the exact role that he sees fate dictating him.

Yeah, I agree. I almost wonder if people are being obtuse in order to drag out revenue from theory videos, because the entire Second World verse seems so fucking obvious. We already knew Joy Boy was responsible for the Ancient Weapons, Vegapunk talked about that. So spreading the embers of war. We know he was killed and the WG/CDs were created, deifying themselves. Straightforward. As for enraging the sea god? Well, we know the world flooded but now I think we have a pretty clear indication Poseidon did so in retaliation for Joy Boy's death, whether it was a purposeful action or not.
Every videos of interpretation and all the takes in the internet about this whole chapter just sums up how im lucky to be experiencing One Piece as its running. Countless fans will reminisce these times as the One Piece experience

i really don't think we need to be scared about one piece being all a dream, i think what ripley (or more like oda) really meant when they said it could all be a child's dream is that EVERYTHING in the world of one piece was born from humanity's desires. there being giant sea creatures, dragons, giant trees, islands permanently covered in snow, giant sea creatures, giant PEOPLE, fruits that turn you into flying flaming humans, etc. i think we're meant to believe that the ancient civilization may have unwillingly 'desired' or 'willed' everything fantastical in current one piece's world into existence.

What this chapter made me realize is that DAMN, we are in the final stretch of the story. Obviously, I know Egghead was the start of it, but at the back of my mind, I still read these chapters as them being set up for things way down the line, but no we are in the final saga. These things and theories come true in this very arc. We are in the endgame and although I am hyped at the prospect of One Piece reaching this stage it also just makes me feel a certain sadness.

The Tower of Babel idea is interesting considering its also the bibles reasoning for why we have so many different languages. God cursed the builders so they couldnt communicate.
If the first age was creating such a tower, this could be the origin of the diverse life on the planet. Especially considering its almost entirely humans in the first age. Possibly. Its a stretch, but its interesting to question how old that first age is, and if people were still expanding all across the world.

Despite how we see iron as an advancement from bronze, the bronze age to iron age got WORSE, but then accidentally got way better than the bronze age ever could. Bronze was a wonder material. It was malleable, pretty, and relatively easy to polish. Iron? Fuck working with iron. The bronze age didn't use iron by choice because it was bullshit to work with. So while the world SEEMED to advance in technology between the bronze and iron age (to us), it actually regressed (to them), but it was only once the smiths understood how to work iron that history realized they advanced by accident. The iron age was a leap forward by total accident. We might never have gotten to the computer age as fast as we did if iron wasn't thrust into our lives by necessity.
In comparison: The first world seems to be a futuristic world of magic and wonder, but I think the story could try to imply that the second and third world inadvertently found a better path forward. Whatever tech was developed that started ruining the world, and making slavery so damn universal, might be so bad that the steel age they're in now is actually WAY better for everyone.
Sort of turning the physical advancement from ruin of the Iron Age into a metaphorical advancement for One Pieces 1st and 2nd world.

We can really see that Oda has masterfully interwoven the biblical stories and other stories into one snd sone how got slavery and fit in how things are today in one piece. Hey man ! The creature on the left might either be IMU holding the MotherFlame and we can noticed just below this creature a ship with 6 people fighting the alliance. One person might be Saturne, since he’s no longer part of the Gorosei.

2. Motherflame is the name given by Vegapunk to the incomplete replica of the infinite energy that existed in the Void Century. It’s a Sun that Imu has in his hands and that sun is the main reason the world was destroyed twice. Men have been fighting for ages because of that sun

One thought that strikes me is that One Piece has always been ambiguous with the existence of gods, we saw it in Skypiea during Nolan's and Kalgara's story. What if the "god of the land was enraged" meant actually that in the process of reaching for more power, the people of that age caused a cataclysm like a massive global earthquake that created the Red Line? And the god of the forest nurturing the devils could mean the creation of devil fruits as well. They don't need to be literal gods, just elements or aspects of nature.

I think Oda set up Blackbeard being able to take powers for his own for a reason. He’s not on the mural but everyone knows he’s one of the biggest players in the endgame. He might possibly take Imu’s power for himself when Imu and the Goresei are defeated, why else would he be so gunho on getting his own nation and getting a 5 elder identity to get in Marie Joi? He might’ve learned about Imu from Xebecs journal and that might be why Xebec attacked God Valley.

The way I see Blackbeard is similar. First he aimed to be a warlord, then emperor and now a king. Thanks to Caribou he knows where Pluton and Poseidon are and has outplayed the government several times already. That said, I think we need to see the WG get served retribution. I also see Dragon playing a big role. Either way, fascinating stuff

Plenty of people have theories about the Eve Tree being the one to produce Devil Fruits, it probably rises all the way up from Fish-Man Island to Imu’s Room in Mariejois. The Harley mentions it “released demons” like how people who eat fruits were said to have “demons living in them”.

On the other hand, the deity of earth could be the one who enslaved the world and learned about Nika. That was the best time to catch up because oda didnt start unraveling his major mysteries yet like devil fruits being from dreams, luffys devil fruit being the sun god, the 5 elders and imu, shanks and garps actually attacking, ect. Then the very next arc everything ramps up
The Harley text and the mural kind of display the idea of the different interpretations of the sun god. The first world was liberation, the second world mentions the sun spreading the embers of war which would be destruction, and the future promise is laughter, where no one needs liberation or destruction and can just feel the joy of living

Idk why, but the part "they will never meet..." and "they will surely meet.." makes me think on Skypia´s flashback, and how Noland and his friend didnt meet again. I, somehow, think, that at the core of One Piece story is a friendship that was separated for something. That´s why in all important scenes of the void century its always a "promise" or a "im sorry" moment. Maybe in the first world there was also a friendship or something like that, that was separated.
