It’s 8 degrees. Just set table to that, lock in place. The “jig” is just a T of wood set to 90 degrees against the fence, then saw is rotated to 8 degrees and locked there. I’m using a badly worn out makita Ls10 sliding compound miter saw.
I only make maybe 300 or so each year, and it’s very hard to get good wood that isn’t split too badly, or maybe I’m just too fussy. I can’t believe how crude many are that are available for sale.

would love to cut out a few buoys for my beach house still not sure about the angle Is it really 8 degrees?
