Thank you for sharing this information 🙏

Well done.

Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this video.
Thank you kindly sir.
Thanks 🙏
Sorry, Rexx Samuell, we don't know exactly the significance of the hands lifted up in the full body prostration.
Buddha Bless you
Thank you Roger! Blessings to you, too!
Thank you 🙏 ♥️
You are so welcome Claudia. Be well.
Very helpful. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Thanks so much 🌹🌹🌹👌👌👌🙏
You are so very welcome. May you be well!
Great! Thank you so much for sharing :-)
Thank you so much for this beautiful offering. I am about to meet my first lama so wanted to learn about prostrations from a Tibetan. I saw another video by a Buddhist nun, where she touched crown, forehead, throat, heart. Which is the correct way when you pay your respects to a teacher? Is crown, mouth, heart enough for the full prostration as you show in your video? Once again - many thanks! :) You have a lovely energy. May you be happy.
Veresda You are so welcome, Veresda. Either way is fine, as you prefer. Both are common :-)
Tujushay!
Excellent video thank you, accidentally disliked which I didn’t mean to, it said it shared that feedback with the creator but I would like you to know it was a mistake and I like this video, it was very helpful thank you
🙏🙏🙏
thankyou for this video, it was very helpful :)
I always feel so awkward getting back up from the full body prostration, i guess that motion smooths out with practice
Helpful. Thank you.
You are so welcome, we are happy that you found it helpful!
Hi! I appreciate you making this video. I wanna ask you one thing. How many times you have to do this for one set. I know about 108bows. How about this in tibetan buddhism?
108 is the number. It's the number of beads on the malajapa, the number of feelings we have, and it's the sacred number in Buddhism.
Thank you la
It's hard for me to put my thumb in when it's bent. 😔
Thanks it's part of the Ngondro By the way Are you Gelug ?
In my name or account section I tried to put om mani peme hung, but it wouldn't let me change it and my phone kept auto- changing the words... forgive me- I know it's wrong, but I can't change it for 90 days now. God bless.
Thank you!!!
Normally either of the three prostrations are done 3 times? Why?
Thank you so much. ;)
And this is always when your starting your prayer and meditation to Buddha....
there shouldn't be any space between fingers fingers when you land down on the floor. I've learned it in school by the way..

Ke nang gi marey!
Thank you sir. Can u tell me what prayer we need to say when prostrating? Thank you.
Hi, see the response above, thanks.
I'm quite new to Buddhism rites, so, what does the thumbs in symbolize?
I think he says in the beginning part of the video that the thumbs should be tucked is if to suggest they aren't empty. Something to remember. Hope my comment helps : ]
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Could i please ask a basic question, who are you prostrating to? Thanks!
Hi there. We prostrate to the three jewels - the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, to purify our delusions. Best to you.
hi i have one question, are you saying any prayers while prostrating?
+lexuscarrington Hi, you can see a few mantras that are commonly used at the bottom of the post on prostrations that you can link to in the description of the video above.
+YoWangdu Tibetan Culture
Ok thank you, i prostrate in my religion but i love this also to release the ego and clear negative karma. i did feel happy when i did it.
thank you for this beautiful gift of information. it truly appreciated.
Thanks for this video, but Im confused, all videos of Dalai Lama I see hes hands / palms like thumbs out, not inside like you show.
This is interesting. His Holiness himself teaches that when you prostrate you should put your thumbs in. When we see him in videos he is usually greeting the crowd or praying at his throne. Let us know if you see an image of him prostrating with the thumbs out.
Lobsang Wangdu Oh there are many pictures: www.psychalive.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Dalai_Lama_2.jpg
higherperspective.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Dalai_Lama.jpg
This is just a few among many. Honest I have never seen one picture where he put thumbs inside. But I have seen other videos here on RUclips that also show thumbs inside like you show...so thats why Im confused how to do.
Thanks for videos anyway:)
Hi again. We mean that if you find a picture of HHDL with his thumbs out "while prostrating" let us know. These are photos of him greeting crowds or praying. Perhaps he does differently when he himself prostrates at the beginning and end of teachings.
swedendive Hi Swedendive, there's a useful teaching by His Holiness on this from a few days ago on dalailama.com: www.dalailama.com/news/post/1262-an-interview-and-a-teaching-for-the-all-japan-soto-young-priests-association
Lobsang Wangdu Thanks:) I will read now
It’s amazing how different cultures apply their religions, as an Anglo Saxon heathen we don’t follow our religion like this, we don’t even kneel, we stand up and face our gods, we don’t ask for anything, we just acknowledge them.
One more comment to make 108
Similar to how Muslim prostate
way older than muslim, also christian and jewish were prostrated like before mudhamid invented pislam
Tibetan don't put knee before hands on ground
full body prostration = Monk burpees lmao.
haha!
Can hear...to bad.
Hi Lisa, Hm, It works for most people. Is your sound turned on?
YoWangdu Tibetan Culture Thank you!...better without headset.
How many Gods or creators do exist according to you? If there's one God or creator, there should be one path. If you believe more than one God, then yes you can have more paths but you should answer millions of questions
its not that all gods are creators, there are however different vehicles to reach that one goal though and is not islam or christianity :)
It is wrong, that more like chinese style
это те самые «ой йооо сто тысяч»?
your profile pic looks creepy
I think you opened a RUclips account just so you could write something nasty. Haven't heard about right speech? BTW, if you're concerned about "creepy" pictures, I wouldn't talk.
The partial prostration is the right prostration but you just need to prostrate for the true God who created you not for statues you created. Do the right thing for the right purpose.
We must all follow our own path.
Don't follow your own but follow the right path
So you think, there is only one right path? Think about it, maybe there are other paths for other people.
How many Gods or creators do exist according to you? If there's one God or creator, there should be one path. If you believe more than one God, then yes you can have more paths but you should answer millions of questions
Yusuf, tell me something: do you get a big kick by finding fault with other people's religions. Your Muslim history is a bloody one converting people by the sword. You dare not deny or justify this. Your so-called "true god" is not compassionate or merciful if you have to kill people to make a point. So practice compassion and stop being such a jerk.
Thank you
Thank you ❤️
Thank you.
Thank you !
You are so welcome Samantha!
Thanks it's part of the Ngondro By the way Are you Gelug ?
Lobsang was trained in Gelug monasteries, yes.
Thank you
