As much as I wanted Nabers or Bowers, Alt was the correct pick. We saw how bad Pipkins was at RT against the Raiders. In Jim and Joe I trust. They'll get their wheeling and dealing for the draft and FA pick. With almost $100M in cap space, this team will show a huge improvement next year. Ladd was a complete steal and loved how he just got better and better every week.

Texans game really exposed our weaknesses and things we be covering up for most of the season. Interior linemen getting crushed, and the lack of options outside of Ladd was really our downfall. We got to the playoffs with one draft class and the limited fee agency that we have. Our guards and center rank at the bottom of the list of starting IOLs. One more draft and a legit free agency with 75mill in cap space will get us more wins and potentially compete with KC for division.
Honestly, QJ belongs on a team like the Bills. Their passing schemes allow their WRs to get open with their 4 WR to one side & 1 WR on the other side running crossers, drags, & digs. QJ doesn’t fit in Greg Roman’s system that requires his WR’s to get open on ability alone.
QJ would probably thrive as WR3, he isn't a 1 or 2. If we get Higgins or Wilson on an agreed deal, then again there is a good amount of talent in the WR class as well. Jim and Joe might hit on another Ladd type pick in day two. Warren or Loveland in the draft, and a solid center in either draft or FA, the offense will be stout. Zont, Still, Hart at CB1, CB2, CB3 sounds really good. Biggest thing for defense is getting another edge rusher. Bosa and Mack might be gone and they need a good edge to compliment opposite Tuli.
People don’t realize that the fires had a huge impact. Messes with the flow. The mentality. The health. You can say perfectionism all you want but there’s a fine line. Terrible timing, and the Texans capitalized on that.
