Yes, I'm always finding new streets to explore..I only recently discovered Ambleside Falls, which I made a video of a few months ago.. absolutely stunning 🥾
This brought back memories. My family and I lived in Raaesbeck (0:51) for a week back in August 2005. You could tell it was an old house by how much the floors creaked - very atmospheric. (I convinced my kids that it was haunted.) At the end of the back garden were steps going down to a little wooden deck standing over the edge of Stockghyll - lovely place to sit for drinks in the evening. My kids loved walking down into town via Peggy Hill, (2:14) though they weren't as keen on making the climb back up to Raaesbeck. It's a lot steeper than it appears on video, (Hence the iron railing by the side of the path, to help drag yourself up there!)
😄 yes, it's quite a climb! What a wonderful place to live.. a world class location to walk into nature and also the lovely town of Ambleside.. I have been exploring the hills alot more from Ambleside and also love the falls 🥾

I had the opportunity to spend a weekend there with the walking group a month or two back, but chickened out.
