There is nothing like a lock to beat the hell out of fenders. Throwing brand new fenders on and going into locks is like tossing fresh meat to the lions. We have transited about 200 locks so far so we know how that goes.
We have never bought a fender in over 5 years of boat ownership, including over 3 years of full-time cruising and 2 summers part-time before that. Our boat came with a mish-mosh of assorted fenders and we have found quite a few more on the water so we have upgraded most of them to better/newer/bigger -but still a ragtag motley assortment of different brands and styles. But we don't have any of those massive balls like you have. I am sort of jealous of Mads giant balls.

We saw a guy have to sail through a storm, using a broken broom stick for his tiller. Tiller broke in heavy storm, he was on board with 8 year old daughter. That broken broom stick got them into the marina safely, he was both very good and very lucky.

An idea: As you know, BMS's control battery charge and use but can also be somewhat fragile. Since they carry authority to shut down battery use to "protect" those expensive LiFePo cells, they can also leave you without power at an unpleasant time. Warranty is useless in high seas without power to your nav station and auto helm. Consider mounting a backup BMS next to your primary BMS so you can simply move a plug from one to another in the event your primary goes on a vacation. "Nothing pleasant happens during a storm." Thanks for great videos!!

Fantastic progress again and testament to the productivity gain of another pair of hands with the ability to crawl into small spaces. I appreciate the stove location on the transom is provisional - but I really think it may be better aligning fore and aft at standing height on the port side Arch.😀👍⛵️

I concur with your expressed need for an emergency tiller with a longer arm for more leverage. Most of the ones that come with a boat seem to be totally inadequate. Three of us on a Catalina 42 were 360 nm out of Honolulu headed for the mainland when the cable to our steering quadrant broke. The emergency tiller was only about 18 inches long and took two of us to steer pushing and pulling as hard as we could. It couldn't have been any longer because the helm was in the way. If we had had the spare gear we might have come up with a pulley system but it wasn't needed because, luckily for us, the autopilot was connected to the steering quadrant not the helm and we were able to return to Oahu for repairs. Anyway, longer is better when it comes to emergency tillers.

Athena is really starting to look really nice inside. Can I suggest that you add a batten to the front edge of your counters in the fridge freezer area and washing machine. When you are sailing on a heel, this will keep anything on the counter in place during sailing. I really like the satin look. I did the same in my boat and many people have commented on how nice the wood looks.

Sailboats heel and we all know what happens to easy sliding drawers facing athwartship. But they also pitch so I hope you have some ingenious method to keep Ava’s drawers from opening on the downslope.

Word of warning ref the canal Mads - we operated our charterfleet out of its smaller sister (the Crinan Canal) for about ten years and it is BRUTAL on your topsides. The fenders pick up dirt and, as the boat moves within the lock chamber, it gets ground into the hull. If you can then sort out a fender blanket to place between the hull and fenders when in the canal.
Another tip is to have your fenders at slightly different heights as many/most of the lock walls are of rough cut stone.

For the head door, you might want to look for a flush handle that can also be locked. This allows the head to be "secured" in no-discharge zones, or for bonded storage, if necessary. (At least in marinas, where you don't need access.)
But for now, one screw holding one leather or nylon strip on the outside gives you a pull handle, and a couple of thin strong magnets on the inside would hold it closed. All minimal cost and leaving behind no cosmetic damage when you find a proper handle.

Great project! I am renovating the galley on my vessel, and was impressed with your cabinet doors. As an FYI, I had the Magma grill on a previous boat; I strongly recommend purchasing at least one spare regulator. Living aboard, I had to replace the regulator twice in three years. Not very expensive, but a bit of a pain

I feared for your fingers with that router Mads!
    1) Cover up as much of the bit with the fence as possible. Leave just enough out to roll over the bearing.
    2) Use a miter gauge at 90 degrees to run the ends. Very much worth the low cost.
    3) Use a push block to keep those fingers further away. You can even make your own in a few min.
