Ikr. ChocoB is honestly the one that inspired me to use different weapons from time to time rather than just keep using Rapier because it's the best weapon for Saltz and keep changing the builds accordingly.

Sometimes I bust out the 1H axe for Salty but during playtime I keep rethinking "it's just a less versatile falchion and falchion is just a slower rapier" xD
It's probably just me but I feel like the niche weapons don't fill their role enough to offset their cons.
This is why I love these off meta builds, You really have to change you gameplay.
@@hgis5888 True. The weapons honestly aren't very balanced which is why almost everyone is using either rapier or axe& falchion with him and not much else. The only benefits of using the other weaker weapons is alleviating one's boredom after using the two OP weapons for so long lol
i quite like the billhook and the flail as well. i think those have a place

The first 10 minutes really showcases some nice fundamentals for fighting bosses and specials (helping me learn)... the build is really cool too

There's a meme talent of Bounty Hunter, Steel Crescendo. I tried with a setup of falc and repeater (with 5% ammo back on crit), blessed combat, dual action to get the constant effect. Wacky but quite fun and interesting on legends.
Maybe someday you'd consider making a build around that meme talent and run with it for fun? I really hope!

It's always great to see unconventional weapons being used to great effect. I actually got a red Greatsword for Saltz, so I'll have to try this out

If there is any one weapon in the game needing a buff (besides the Elven Axe) its Kruber and Saltzpyre's Greatsword. good run btw
I agree. Bret Longsword has fixed that need for Kruber but not Saltz.

I'm gonna ask you a weird question... What program do you use to record these videos? It looks so good. I tried OBS, Streamlabs and ShadowPlay with best quality settings but I can't get it to look this good.
It's not weird. I use a paid recording software called MIRILLIS Action.

If you were going for Riposte's guaranteed crits so that greatsword could have some elite killing, did you consider taking Parry so that you could do so more often?
I think using parry is overkill for versatility. If you can parry all of your attacks, that is a different story.

Why do you walk around with the healing potion out a lot, even when at full health?

What are these illusions? How do I get them?
they come from red equipment, only attainable from either emperor chests in champion or any chest in legend and cataclysm. basically they are maxed out (always have 300 power) orange equipment with the special illusions.
so you get them by some ole fashioned “gittin gud”
@@mkv2718 that's not true those weapons are blue/white, these ones are from a mod that makes them orange

the greatsword is only available in weaves and cannot be used outside of weaves without mods and the griffon foot skin is by getting a veteran quality (red) drop from boxes
@@erykblobenoski4661 griffon foot skin is just unlocked by buying dlc.

I hate that assassin glitch where they die instantly when trying to vault over something. It was a problem in VT1 too.

Seeing a greatsword on Saltzpyre is weird since he seems to prefer dexterity weapons. Nonetheless great run using a less used weapon.
