On January 13, 2000 in Brooklyn, a 19 year old girl named Erica Alvarez and her 2 kids (ages 1 and 2) were murdered and burned in their apartment on Atkins Avenue. The person responsible was the father of her oldest child. (March 20, 1980- January 13, 2000). I was wondering if you could look into and possibly cover the story.

A woman who used her talents and heart to help and support others is met with a evil, soulless, useless, sick woman hating coward who inflicted nothing but pain and suffering on her. And for what? For money and a hatred for women. It hurt hearing stories about truly innocent people with their whole lives ahead of them get cut down so soon. My sincerest condolences to her loved ones and healings to her friend who survived. 🙏🌹

Thank you for telling this story. This is was my dear friend. A friend never forgotten. When we were growing up in Brooklyn in the 80's we hung out and moved a lot in groups. We had friends growing up who were often in 3 stages of life and friendships. Rushi, Marsha and the other group member whose name starts with "M" hung out with a friend of mines cousin and my girlfriend and our friends was the 2nd group and Rushi's Older Sister and her friends was the 3rd group who were like our Chaperones. We were all going places in life and we were doing it together. Rushi and I celebrated our Birthdays days apart from each other and so we have celebrated birthdays together over the years prior to her passing away. We had mutual friends because growing up in the birth of Hip Hop those who were not rappers were dancers all hanging out and living life. 28 years later it still feels like yesterday when I got that phone saying she was missing and then later that call saying things turned and I needed to turn on the news because she was found but not alive. 28 years later this is not an event that you can every forget. I stumbled on this video after sharing a Testimony with someone about the horrific news I received 28 years ago. Sharing that it was only God that brought us all through this time; recalling my very thoughts and emotions surrounding this horrific incident. It was one of those moments when nothing made sense and it was especially one of those moment when the life that has been taken appears to have been taken so soon. Marsha went through a long recovery and survivors grief was very real. i remember seeing Marsha a while after the incident and her trauma was real because she vaguely remembered who I was and I was glad to see that she was in recovery but it was bitter sweet as it is so natural in these types of circumstances to have the desire to know more. We were a group of friends who believed in protecting each other and so, it was hard to look upon Marsha and not think about Rushi not being here. The moment was somewhat paradoxical in that I was elated to known that Marsha was doing well and getting better each day but simultaneously fighting back those questions about 2 people going through the exact same situation and one remains and one is taken. The only answer that you can rely on is the Sovereignty of the Almighty GOD. I will be forever grateful that Marsha was alive to give testimony in this horrific case so that Justice could be served. This was indeed answered prayer. I wanted to say to you thank you for telling this story precisely and with distinct honor and compassion. My dear friend and little sister is never forgotten.

Finally another upload haha. Once again, thank you so much for always giving an illustrative backstory in which the tragedy took place - really paints a picture into how the women grew up and such. It really personalizes it and gives such love and respect. You're one in a million. ❤

Former criminal justice student. Now perusing a masters degree in Education, bro I see you having a future either working for Investigation Discovery as a story narrator or having your own show, another strong delivery with this case 👏 🔥

The opening is amazing. I love the history you present before narrating the crime story. I also appreciate that you focus on the victim's life instead of the killer.

Wow I’m from AC, never heard this story. Great work for detectives to put Casino commission on notice. May have saved more lives. First thank u for bringing attention to these cases and victims. This reminds me to stay vigilant. Praying for continuing healing for the families.
