    29 years for torturing and killing a child? WTF That should have been an automatic death penalty or at least life in prison. Why are we so lenient towards these murders?!

    • @dentkort
      @dentkort 9 месяцев назад +4

      They got the maximum sentences for their respective charges (though the mother's was later shortened to 36 years). Since the murder was not premeditated, it counted as second-degree murder which by law is not punishable by death or even life in prison. The victim being a child somehow doesn't have a special type of charge around it nor upgrade it to first degree murder (which requires premeditation). It's actually insane.

      @@user-ru1ki nooo you don't remarry. Almost 70% there is no acceptance of those children. Men lie well, until you marry them and abuse your daughters!! If you women choose to bring babies into this world raise them! Its your responsibility not the new man. My moms husband did the same thing to me. After knocking her up and traping her ... he went after me! You women need to realize no man really wants to raise another mans child!! Your a step child your biological kids are always treated with unconditional love. Its reality even if you don't agree. Most families are like that. Raise your own kids. Kids shouldn't have a stranger man and or step new kids. Mothers and their boyfriends need to be charged.

Even now by so many ethnic groups and cultures dating doesn't exist like Arabic sector, Orthodox or Ultra-orthodox Jewish sectors, Ethiopian sector and many more. I dated my fiance for three years many years ago but eventually haven't gotten married, dated my first husband a little, never dated the second one and both of them are history. So basically, it doesn't matter whether you date or not because if it is a wrong person dating or not dating doesn't change a lot because you need an eternity to fully understand another person's soul...

    29 years is not enough for this monster; if you can harm an innocent kid what else wouldn't you do? The way this case ripped my heart apart...it's unbearable! What kind of mother would let that happen to her child? I have so many questions, I'm feeling so much pain. The nerves of that pendejo of a father who met the child in her coffin to receive a settlement for her death, gosh I'm enraged!!!! Rest in perfect peace sweet little angel.

    I was a NYPD cop (4 years on the job in the Bronx) at the time, I remember how much this case shook me. There is so much child abuse and neglect in the city. I would do child emergency removals all the time. Sometimes one a week. During my just over 14 years on patrol, I physically held three dead babies. For all my time in that hell, I still don’t know if there’s a God, but I can sure tell you there are demons.
    Thank you for this series, thank you for focusing on the victims. As a police officer, it was often extremely frustrating to see how the media gathers around the perpetrator. The victim often times becomes the prop in their effort to sell more newspapers. New York City is very Purp friendly and the good people are the ones who actually have to do the suffering.

And by the time, they get out, they will probably be in their elder years. And even if they got out, their lives wouldn't be the same again, because mostly everyone would know who they are and treat them like trash, so it doesn't make a difference. If they get the death penalty they'll get a quick and easy death. Sometimes, they don't even stay behind bars for that long either. Just last month it happened again when a mom dropped a bed on her nine year olds head. You hear nothing about it because they're very busy talking about every other issue BUT this. @@A-Noodles Yep exactly. Once they pulled kids out of school for remote learning in NYC, reports of child abuse dropped by 50% which is SCARY. That wasn't because it wasn't happening. It was due to kids not being in school and teachers unable to report injuries to proper authorities. So basically the kids were stuck with abusive ass parents and nobody to report it since neighbors are notoriously terrible at reporting. Not all just a lot. One of the main sources of injuries reported are teachers. So once they're out the equation its a dead end for these children. Imagine being a teacher in 2019 who had been reporting these kids and their injuries, and then classes resuming to normal and finding that some of those kids aren't even alive anymore in 2021. Absolutely terrible. If I fail at ANY JOB I'm fired. I dont understand how children die, nothing changes and the system remains the same. Every time they "dismantle the system" and start new its the same thing all over again. Lisa steinbergs death changed nothing. Neither did Daytwon Bennetts or Elisa Izquierdos or Nixzmary Browns. They use these poor babies as the new faces of severe child abuse, they get put in the hot seat for a little while and then it fades away until the next severe case appears. It'll never stop if it isn't addressed. Its the worst thing I've ever seen and it just never stops.

    This hit home, stories like this one hits hard because i was one of the lucky ones that survived abuse from the person that gave birth to you a person that should protect you is the one that causes you physical and emotional pain that last a life time. A person that should protect you a so call “mother” is the one that will do you the most harm and been a kid you don’t understand why because you do and act the same way your siblings act and they get all the love,protection, food and care but you get the opposite you get the beatings even tho you didn’t do nothing or she was just mad and the abuse the marks in your face the ones she use to tell me to lie in school and with my friends i had to tell them i had fallen or suffocating me sitting in my face with a pillow every time i thought i was going to die among other things,i was terrified but it was my mother and i loved her so i was so confuse of why she was doing these things when i loved her a little kid always love their mom but i was so confuse of why she was doing these things to me. At age 15 i couldn’t take it no more and i ran away from home and never went back, needless to say i haven’t talk to her since and now im 42.
    Im sorry to write this here but i been holding to this for yrs. And seen things like this brings so many memories back in mind. RIP little girl and rest assure that God will not forget about you when that time comes.

      Hello my Dear as well have had numerous conversations about child abuse, no child deserves to suffer. Children lay down and die, like NixzMary last three words was Mommy…..Mommy…..Mommy on the cold floor in January while dying Nixzzy still cried out for her Mommy as she was foaming at the mouth she died. Children love their parents or family members until the end. So sad. I know what being a victim feels live. Thank God we survived to make a difference. You are awesome and I am so sorry for your horrible experiences thank God you try to save yourself.

Damn, Mom could have reported that monster at school and asked for help they would have placed them in a shelter for battered women. We need to start giving these people longer sentences like life sentences for that kind of abuse and/or DEATH sentences. THEN they wouldn't be hurting these children. BUT UNTIL WE DO, they're going to continue to harm kids because these sentences are not scary nor harmful enough. And the only pain they care about is their own so they will continue to harm children because WE as a Society are NOT tough enough on them.

    The story that made me ANGRY 😡😡😡 like for a mom to allow her boyfriend to torture her and then unalive her, any woman who changes her kids for some insecure man doesn't deserve any kids. ACS was also at fault here (trust me I was threatened by my former foster moms in both of the houses I was in, my social worker just shrugged it off as me having an active imagination). Greetings. Thank you so much for keeping these fallen victims names and faces alive, they are Angels, no child should suffer in silence all by themselves. No child deserves to succumbed to the hands of those monsters who should love and protect them. I am proud of Jose for his diligence is spreading awareness…..I am the person who fought for Justice for 7 years old NixzMary Brown on January 11th 2006. I turned the
    ( ACS ) System up side down in side out. The ACS System was changed they had to answered for failing Nixzzy some of them served time in prison for failing NixzMary Brown. Nixzaliz Santiago received 34.5 years for not protecting her innocent helpless child. Cesar Rodriguez received 29 years for killing Nixzzy….., I went on to produce a Documentary of Nixzzy Life in Death. And in the interim of all this unwarranted sadness I and a few other Child Advocates fought for the NixzMary Brown Law in which was implemented in October 2008 the same month that Nixzaliz was sentenced if my memory serves me right. Justice for all our fallen Angels. Thanks you so much for representing these beautiful children.
