Dude! Great job! Was looking around on the 'Tube and found this vid looking for cool figure repaints, and you took a great find and made it superb! Love what you did with it!
😂 I had to go back a watch it myself because that was so long ago... To be honest I think that was some leftover BBQ/Fireplace high heat paint that I had left over from a house project.😂 I would say a nice flat black would also do the trick.
In this video I'm just using a Rustolium Spray paint (whatever I have laying around). I normally like to use the paint + primer. When I'm hand painting in this video I'm using Testors enamel paint. This can be a pain because you have to use paint thinner. I have recently switched to Tamiya acrylic model paint. It cleans right up with water. Hope that helps. 🙂
So I have experimented with a bunch of ways and not really sure what the best way to repaint is but this is what I would do today with what I have learned. First, give it a good prime coat, mask off where needed and if you have an airbrush the Citadel (warhammer) acrylic paints are great. If you dont have an airbrush you can also hand brush the Citadel paint but do thin coats and multiple layers to avoid brush strokes. There are other great model paints out there as well I'm just familiar with the Citadel. If you need to cover a large area you can also use a good enamel spray paint. For me the key is at the end do a clear coat over your paint job when you are finished to protect it.
: ) Thanks for the feed back. That was one of my first videos so I agree. Still working on perfecting the whole RUclips thing and still a long way to go but I'm getting there... little by little. Cheers.
Thanks! This was a build when I just started so I had no clue what I was doing...😂 I have never tried Plastic Weld but i'll check it out. I have found BSI Instacure glue to work amazing for the type of builds I'm currently doing but always happy to learn of new solution. Thanks so much!
01:48 damn you broke Batman's spine worse than Bane
I would definitely do it a little different today! : )
I haven't seen motor skills this fine in years!

U r the great, owsm modification,i love ir work plz keep it up
Thanks! 😀
I'm currently doing this with a rubber optimus prime figure
How does he rotate? Anyway, the most important for me is that in order to repaint a figure must spray it with a special primer ........
I was wondering what was the spray you used there for the body? the result looks amazing!
