To all those asking for a Part 2 in the comments:
There is no Part 2 coming because the artist of the comic has not made one. I don't control what the artist does with the comic, I only asked to dub the comic and bring it to life.

I like how Sonic reacted after switching back.
I find it really drains to come out of an angry state, especially when forcing yourself to. So to hear him speak so dryly feels realistic.
Indeed it’s so much easier to simply fly off the edge

I once pulled myself back from anger and almost fainted from exhaustion I fell on my rump and couldn't get up for several minutes
You know, I always found Dark sonic with pupils more intimidating than the pure white eyes. Like with the pure white eyes, It sorta feels like hes consumed by rage and doesn't know what's happening. However if he has pupils in that form, it makes me feel that Sonic still has control, but he's still going to go through with whatever hes about to do. Kinda scary
Yeah I feel the same way I also felt as his quills should be how they normally are to add the aspect of sonic still being in control
Actually, i think the opposite of what you say. When I see the green pupils inside of Dark Sonic, this is a meaning to me that he’s still here and he mastered his Dark side.
I personally find Dark sonic with the white eyes more intimidating because it’s like he’s about to go out of control like in Sonic X when he started off with an incomplete dark form with pupils but then after he fought those meterix (whatever they are called) he achieved the spiked up quills with the white eyes symbolizing his darkness
With Pupils, still has somewhat of Blue in there and we can still see his Skin Colored Arms and Chest/Stomach = Dark Sonic
No Pupils, Pure Black without skin Color, only other Colors being his Shoes and Gloves = Dark Super Sonic or as i see Dark Sonic and Super Sonic combined
Honestly Dark Sonic's Quills shouldn't be that spiked up but otherwise Sonic knows what's going on
But hey as i see it Dark Sonic is all of Sonoc's Negative Emotions and All of his Negativity locked in his Subconscious waiting to be released (also it os his Survival Instinct)

As the Joker once said: Madness is like gravity. All it takes is a push. Eggman got EXTREMELY lucky Sonic's friends showed up when they did, because Sonic was very clearly teetering towards the edge.
Fun fact, Anti Sonic said that line in the comics to Sonic in reference to that exact quote.

@@Gazing-09 I recommend reading the Archie sonic comic arc for scourge. It is unique and a shame they had to boot him due to some drama.
Thiers gonna be a day when Sonic loses all of his friends by death from Eggman. And when that happens Eggman better have a backup plan or something. Cuz if he does not well lets just say the walls and floor will be stained with blood. And I dont mean Sonics neither. Sonic has his limits and will snap or reach a breaking point someday with the Doctor.
Imagine if Sonic's friends didn't get there in time... RIP Eggman..

Actually it's more of a psychotic/menacing grin, yk one of those when you're so angry you can't do anything but grit your teeth thus creating the illusion of a smile
Seeing Sonic go Dark is enough to strike fear into any living being, because it only happens when you've REALLY pushed him over the edge and from what ive seen of Sonic, it takes alot to hit that point

Eggman was seconds away from turning in to scrambled egg ngl.
If I was Eggman, I would just quit after seeing that. In that moment, Eggman being saved is a sign from god saying, you may be saved now but next time you won't be so lucky. So leave Sonic alone.
He should, if he'd know what's good for him; unfortunately, Eggman DOESN'T! >:(

I like the concept of Dark Sonic a lot. It's just kinda sad how it ends so quickly and isn't really explored all that much.

@@doge9693 I know and that's what's killing me about SEGA. They've been more overprotective over character stereotypes ever since Colors and won't ever dare step out of line of Sonic breaking character once in a while like they really did in the Storybook era.
Thats also another thing to worry about in Frontiers. Will SEGA really do Sonic's character some justice or will he be just be "Baldy mcNosehair: Serious style"

As mentioned in the IDW comics, Sonic never likes to truly end a stubborn Villain like Eggman here because he believes everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves and pick a better life.
This doesnt mean Sonic can't kill Eggman. He can, should have and has EVERY right to, but chooses not to because *he's a nice guy.*
But THIS Sonic in the video, reveals the pent up fury and hatred Sonic had supressed for most of his life. And you can TELL he would HAPPILY unleash it all on the source of his fury, Eggman.
It also seems as though Sonics most powerful restraints are his friends because its all he actually has. And Eggman, the man he hates the most, DESTROYED the one thing he cared about, his friends, *_his restraints..._*
The thing that really has me about the whole video is when Sonic finds out his friends are still alive. You would think that he would be crying tears of joy to see that Tails, Knuckles and Amy are all still alive but the thing is, he is just *lowkey happy* they are alive, he looks mostly BUMMED OUT by this fact actually, as if his reaction is "Ah, they're still alive... *well I guess I have no reason to **_kill Eggman_* anymore..." and just walks it off...
...meaning Sonic was PREPARED to kill Eggman, and not just kill him but grant him a slow and painful death, assuring Eggman savours every _single_ bit of Sonic's frustration accumulated over the years. And if it appeared that killing Eggman wasn't enough. He would unleash the rest of his anger on whatever he left behind and everything else on the WORLD.
Sonic isn't just optimistic for the sake of it, his optimism is his *coping mechanism* and his friends help *reinforce* this mechanism. He KNOWS what how explosive his rage is and he really really wants to release it all, but he chooses not to. He knows he would cause catastrophic damage to others and himself and that would taint his pride as the hero everyone knows him to be.
Fun fact:
Eggman manages to push sonic limit on the archie comics

Pure hatred, punching silver when he said one of his friend was an impostor, wanting to kill eggman
Almost becoming a villian when thinking on scourge words
Now I want to see a game where Eggman goes over the line and actually gets Sonic to speak without sass. Because, similar to Black Suit Spider-Man, once he goes quiet, you know you're screwed.

Okay I literally thought Archie Comics or IDW made this comic until I found out it was fan made because the style changed later in the video , My reaction was like this 'wait what the comic creators finally made Dark Sonic appear in the comics , Omg are dream came true but I was wrong'

You know, considering the things Eggman has done over the years (like awakening more than one ancient god to spread destruction, reactivating a space station capable of destroying the Earth to use as a weapon, shattering the planet's crust, using an innocent alien race as a fuel source for a mind control ray, weaponizing a time eating monster to wreak havoc on history, and trying to drop a sun on a resistance movement, among other things), someday he probably will go too far in Sonic's eyes.
Apparently, creating a virus that turns people into liquid metal zombie robots, Zombots as they are dubbed, ended up NOT being going to far as Sonic just stood there in the end while Eggman just flew away in his Eggmobile. -_-

I like the idea of an alternate reality where Eggman really does push Sonic past the limits of his patience/compassion, and he straight up offs him as dark super Sonic. It'd be interesting to explore how such an event changes him as a person, not only as a Sonic without Eggman to oppose, and as a killer who is intimately aware of this much darker, violent version of himself. How do his friends handle the knowledge that Sonic killed another person? Or better yet, how does Sonic think his friends see him now, and how does that compare/contrast to what they really think? Does Sonic go full off the deep end and spiral? Or is his support group strong enough to keep him stable?

I had to like this comment I didn't like that number
Honestly, that would explain why Eggman never went out of his way to properly "kill" any of Sonic's friends, or any Sonic Character for that matter.
Even in the Zombot arc, he never truly had the intention to "Kill" those infected by the virus, but merely control them, the eventual degradation that happened in Silver's future seemingly wasn't intentional either, but merely a side effect of long term infection of the virus.
If anything, Starline would be the one who would actively try to kill Sonic's friends, he worked on the virus as well, hell, He's the one who pitched the idea to Eggman, but despite that, Eggman made the virus in a way that only "controlled" victims, not actively turning them from inside out, even tho the side effects would've leaded to that eventually.
So yeah... Sonic is not the type you want to piss off for real... and Eggman knows that, better than anyone.

You're wrong about one thing. Starline didn't pitch the Metal Virus idea. Eggman had it saved in his personal stash of world-ending terrible ideas. Read the end of Issue 12.
Nobody in that universe truly knows how powerful Sonic really is. It’s honestly really scary but it’s good that he’s more of the hero type.
Like, do eggman even realize sonic could erase him fron existence with just 1 simole chaos control?

The voice for Dark Sonic wasn't bad it actually made his voice intimidating and menacingly which could give you the reaction 'I'm going to die' but I feel like the voice should have sounded like Normal Sonic's voice with the same sound effect you used for the dark form's voice but over all great video , here's a like from me

You can actually see his expression realizing his friends is still fine, he feels relieved but also a little distraught because he was about to kill eggman and he didnt even get the chance, but he still goes on with it and goes home, thats how strong and scary sonic is, he can control his anger whenever he wanted to, his friends are the only one that is keeping him that pure

This was going to get way more gratuitous than when that Metarex scientist kidnapped Chris and Cosmo.
After that event, Eggman realised that he'll lose no matter what yet Sonic will let him go every time. He then reinvented his career and is now working at Walmart.
Edit: i this simple comment has spawned a long ass chain of events making up an entire arc for Eggman, this is by far my greatest achievement on this platform.

@矢上ブレーク First of all, no he didn't; he saved TAILS, and that was only to throw off suspicion from Sonic towards him.
Second of all, he faked his own death, used the life energy siphoned from the planet to power a giant mech to crush Sonic with once he beat the Deadly Six, and implied from his dialogue that he wasn't going to give any of the life energy back to the planet afterward even though he would be perfectly capable and could save most of the planet so it would still be there for him to conquer!
Third of all, by that definition, Sonic X isn't canon either; and that's where Dark Sonic is from. Why exclude those for not being part of the games when this fan comic has an element that isn't from the games either?!
Fourth of all, he basically killed Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Cream, Cheese, Rouge, Espio, Blaze, Vector and Charmy in Generations using Time Eater! Furthermore, in Forces, he blew up cities; and Infinite killed 4/5 of the Resistance's army under his command!

I think that is the best depiction of what sonic would do if his friends actually did die. You can tell he would kill egg head here. I loved the voice acting it was so on point! I love the fact that he was able to pull it back though.

Before Sonics voice changed into dark, It almost sounded like Jason Griffith
God what i would give to have sonic act super serious when he transforms, like imagine he just goes super and he doesn't say anything, his back to the camera, his aura shining so bright you can barely see him, except the red eyes that stares into your soul.
Could you image what that would’ve been like in Forces? Picture it; a cutscene where Infinite is off on some “intimidating” shpeel to the Avatar. He’s about to attack when out of nowhere, Super Sonic comes charging in and sends him flying across the battlefield. Infinite gets up, adjusts his mask, then flies at Sonic. Cut to the boss fight. After the fight, cut back to Sonic sending Infinite spiraling out of the sky. He crashes into the ground, carving a large crater into the earth. Dust and debris flies everywhere and Infinite lays on his back, dazed. He sits up and feels his face. His mask is intact, but cracked. He then feels his chest for the Phantom Ruby. To his horror, there’s a large chip missing from it. He’s still trying to wrap his head around what just happened when he looks up and sees Sonic perched on a large boulder in front of him, towering over him. Despite the mask, you can tell that Infinite is _terrified._ He glances around, trying to find anything that could help him, but to no avail. He’s trapped. Avatar watches from a nearby balcony, overlooking the spectacle. The characters at the Resistance base watch the screens. The soldiers still left on the battlefield are curious, but don’t dare to creep any closer. The air is so thick with tension it’s almost hard to breathe.
After a few seconds of silence, Infinite says, “W-what’s wrong, hero? Not brave enough to come and finish me off?” His voice changer cuts out at the last second, revealing his trembling tone. Sonic says nothing, but instead leaps down from the boulder and stands before the cowering Jackal. He reaches down, grabs Infinite’s mask, and shatters it effortlessly in his hand. The jackal flinches at the sound of the crushing metal and glass.
“So,” he says, “You wanted to see my unsightly face before you ended me. Fine. Are you satisfied?”
Sonic stares at Infinite for a moment. He sighs, then says, “I’m not going to kill you.”
“What?”
“I’m not going to let you get out of this that easy.” Sonic then gestures to the destruction around them. “You see this? You’re going to help fix this.”
Infinite hesitates before saying, “And if I don’t?”
Another uncomfortable stretch of silence. Infinite tries to hold eye contact with the hedgehog, but gives up and looks to the ground instead. Sonic is about to drag him off when the ground starts to shake. It’s Eggman with his giant robot and the final boss fight. Sonic growls in frustration. He takes a steel bar off the ground and wraps it around Infinite like it’s just a rope. He glances once more at Zero before flying off to deal with Eggman, the Avatar character in hot pursuit. End scene.

So I was LITERALLY just writing about this topic earlier today, and the number 1 thing to understand about characters like Sonic is this:
It's a game. This is all just a game to them, the peril, the banter, all of it. This is just...a part of life. This is just what we do. There's little true hostility in this business.

Honestly love this, despite eggman being a bad guy, he's not a heartless villain, he's just a goofy evil scientist that sees the chill and cheerful Sonic as his arch nemesis, to see someone like Sonic almost completely snap, knowing that he is one second away from not stopping you, but KILLING you, it's honestly as if Sonic is a completely different person, Eggman had a good reason to be as terrified as he was.
Ik this is old but didn’t he murder starline? And Ik man caught a body in other iterations. He murdered sally back in the Archie comics and was fully prepared to kill sonic on numerous occasions but the blue hedgehog is insanely hard to put down.

If Released it can either Help Grow (Goku going SSJ through Rage) or could become uncontrollably Dangerous to the User or the ones they care about (any character that Snapped and didn't stay Good like Injustice Superman)
2 examples are batman's everything and Spider-Man's black suit
Dark Sonic....a being of true rage and vengeance...an unstoppable force of wrath.....a "Monster". Whoever pushes the limits of Sonic's temper...unleashes Dark Sonic. and if that's you...then by god. Be afraid...!
I always found it interesting how sonic needs the chaos emeralds to transform into super sonic yet when he transforms into dark sonic he doesn't. Like he could benefit from using that form better.
There are downsides like not being able to hold back with it and he could kill someone and may not regret it until it wears off. It is able to be accessed more easily but the risks may not be worth it in the end.
I'm coming very late with this reply but, would you rather have a super form that grants you invincibility, flight and other powers tied to very specific objects that need to be gathered in order to grant that form to you, or one that's fueled by rage that grants the same amount of power but with your mentality going down south fairly quickly and tossing aside your morals and possible repercussions for what you could do?

Tails and the others being alive is the only reason Dark Sonic didn't ruin Eggman like he did the two Metarex in Sonic X. I dunno about anyone else but that's terrifying.

i find it kinda ominous that we never see the capability's of dark sonic. in fact he isnt even canonically named. whenever we see him he is mid transformation then his friends save him before we properly see him.

The weird thing is… In all likelihood eggman isn’t lying and really did ONLY design those landlines for him. It genuinely seems like the type of single minded design choice he would make.

For those who don't know this version of Sonic is also from Sonic x. Eggman used Sonic's feelings to show him how unstable he truly is and how weak he is. In the comics I do believe this is a reason for a lot of alts of sonics timeline (due to Sonic's weakness and feelings with other reasons of course). Eggman after all made Sonic who he is so of course he would understand how much trouble he truly was in.
Sonic who's got no parents and used to have no friends until he made some friends: *I don't wanna be a badguy*
Eggman who could've done the same: *hoo hoo I'm all alone, I'll become a villain and just make my life worst*
I adore this mini comic and I wish Dark Sonic would make an appearence once again even if its only in the IDW idrc Dark Sonic is Dark Sonic. But it REALLY SUCKS that it'll never happen. Sonic just isn't built to be the hedgehog that isn't forgiving. It would take A LOT to make him this mad. I don't see Sega ever making this form cannon because he's just not built that way and violence isn't in his nature.

I love the detail of sonics voice changing when he says “Im tired of your excuses Eggman” it shows that he was blue but got angry and turned into dark sonic while he was responding.

Sonic is kind of people what doesn't matters what happen with himself, but if you meet with his friend, you'll regret it.
This honestly gives off a perfect example on why Dark Sonic matters. I don't have any recollection of seeing Dark Sonic in any other official media regarding Sonic other than Sonic X, which is a hige shame.
In the IDW comics, Dark Sonic should especially be present. Throughout the whole arc of "The Metal Virus" ( Which is a story in which a virus goes loose, and when anybody comes into contact with it, they become braindead robot zombies ), Sonic is constantly told by his friends that he has some fault for having such events to happen, he was simply too nice towards his enemies. You'd need to know the full context of everything to actually understand what I am talking about, so I'd recommend you go watch Game Aplogists video about the Metal Virus. It's an incredible story made by Ian Flynn and people say its canon to the games but I really couldnt find too much info about it being canon or not.
Anyways, a bunch of events happen because Sonic was too nice towards his enemies. He was constantly reminded this by his friends and Eggman who tried to play mindgames on him with this. Anyways my point is, Dark Sonic is basically a representation of Sonic's moral code being shattered. Taking the hedgehog's patience to the very edge, breaking him with such emotion that he transforms into this Sonic with pure rage. A nice guy taken to his limits and shattering him. Dark Sonic matters because he is this sheer emotion that indulges the hedgehog in a state of rage where he's seen as a menace. It puts more character and emotion into our beloved blue blur and shows that yes, even he can lose his temper. This is the power Sonic carries deep inside of him, he can be a menace if he simply chooses to, however, he stands tall by his moral code. He's a hero who has his limits.
This conveys a moment where Eggman should really reconsider his life choices.
People often forget just how much some hero’s hold back. Spiderman, batman, superman, and anyone else who upholds on the no killing rule. Push them over the edge and you will see just how much they hold back.
I wish Dark Sonic appear in Sonic Games canon. They could show that even Sonic who is reflexive and compassive, he also has limits and let go all his inner demons.

0:27 Looking at Sonic's leg we can see that he was not fully in Dark Form, and I believe that its here to show that, if he really did got consumed fully, no voice of friendship would be able to make him stop to what he was about to do with eggman.

This comic shows that even though sonic is a nice guy, he can still kill people if his friends are hurt because his friends are the only thing that keeps himself from causing destruction to the world. Even though Sonic acts nice, his own friends are the only people who can stop him from killing Eggman, once his friends showed up, he was gonna kill eggman for hurting his friends. Every hero has their limits, even if Sonic is nice to his enemies, he can snap in less than a second if his friends are hurt, what we can learn from the comic dub is that Sonic’s friends are the only thing that are keeping him from causing damage to kill the whole world.
If you think about it. Sonic growing up was gaining more and more power and at the Sonic Forces he probably are strong enough to break the speed of sound more than 20 times over, not saying about chaos emeralds or dark Sonic transformation that happens when Sonic gets truly enraged. It is technically confirmed that dark Sonic transformation have a power similar to chaos emeralds, but without the chaos emeralds itself and weaker than super Sonic
