- After tons of planning, plotting, preparation, and persistence, Dr. Starline's plan to get back on Dr. Eggman's side is finally complete! His doppelgängers Surge and Kit are full-bent on destroying Sonic and Tails, (and Starline and Eggman, too!) Eggman's robots are under Starline's control, and Eggman has nowhere to run! Or so he thinks...
Meanwhile, Sonic, Tails, and Belle have been drawn to Eggman's new Eggperial city, and have come to investigate the badniks' odd behavior. Little do they know, they're in for the fight of their lives!

I loved this comic so much! Kitsunami's voice is exactly how I imagined him to sound! A high pitched Surge is certainly different from other dubs I've heard, but I still think it's a valid take on the character. The higher pitch makes me think of Tara Strong's Harley Quinn, she sounds incredible.
Regarding Surge, I actually requested she sound like Grey DeLisle's Vicky from Fairly OddParents. I'm glad you like it, though!

Honestly Surge is super cool to me on a metatextual level. She wants something that is objectively going to make the world worse by destroying Sonic, and it is something that, by the nature of her existence, she can never have. SEGA has mandated that Sonic can't ever lose, not even for one fight, so in a sense this was a fight she was destined to lose from the start, but she still went through with it. I like an underdog, and what's more like that than fighting someone who you will never in a million years defeat?
Well I mean, he *can* lose as we see repeatedly in basically all of his games at least once. Just that he can't lose *forever*

I think Surge has potential. Hopefully she survived the fall and comes back somehow. I like the argument she represents about the way Sonic does things. I also think Starline would've made for a decent rival type for Tails because of his brains. You don't have to be the smartest guy in the room to find purpose, and I think getting humbled by Tails would've done him a lot better than being completely dominated by 'ol Humpty Dumpty, lol

Starline ironically got what he wanted. He saw the Eggman he so admired, the unstoppable genius. Shame that in order to see it, you have to be in his crosshairs.
Showed up in the chat for this, but just want to say everyone knocked it out of the park with their performances, so a fair bit of kudos to your direction as well. Never took Ultimate for much of a villain but he really had a certain venom about his Starline.
Wow! I'm very impressed on this Sonic IDW 50 Comic Dub was made from beginning to end.
Fantastic choices of editing, Very strong voice performances from the voice cast, the conflicts between the heroes and villians throughout in the comic, and everything in it was just really well executed.
As it was definitely worth the 7 months of waiting in the making of it.👏

one of the few comics that shows that Robotnik is dangerous even without his technology, if sonic didn't had any type of gaining speed to attack eggman, he could be absolutely beated by eggman.

I wish a lot of the games were written as well as this comic was. Even some of the sonic games deemed bad can be completely fixed with just some better writing even if they have the same plot.

I really like Sonic he reminds me of the flash not for the speed powers but for the compassion he has towards others even those who mean him harm.
I know this might be far fetched but he has ripped and destroyed his own tech so I think eggman could have super strength just not compared to sonic, shadow, silver, and a few more. Plus hes a genius so he could've physically made himself stronger a LONG time ago.

Technically, Surge doesn't have a canonical voice. I directed Toni to sound like Vicky from Fairly OddParents, which I feel she did very well.
