Did the 0 offset of these wheels give you about the same stance as your factory wheels with the 1.5" spacers? Trying to decide on a 0 or -12 offset for my at4. Do you think -12 is too much as far as potential wear/tear on the truck?
Love how clean this truck looks, not overdone, just perfect.
I absolutely loved your channel, I have been taking ideas to use on my GMC. I have been trying to find your video on your pipe conversion...your truck sounds awesome
Great upgrade looks so much better. Great video! Looking forward to what you are going to be doing next to your truck. Keep being awesome
These look so sick! And thanks for showing the tire process - I've been in many a tire shop in my life but never was able to see the sausage making in that kind of detail!
I filmed those sequences knowing full well that most people never get back there to have a close looks at what the process looks like. When I used to ‘bust tires’ the equipment involved a little more elbow grease. When I ran the shop, I made sure I was able to set the bar for quality, speed and safety soy guys had a standard. Just watching Derek help me, brought back some good memories. Thank you for checking out the video!
@@Donslife Thanks to you I finally pulled the trigger on some Brink B206 for my Denali + tires, ceramic coating, etc. Can't wait to get them in!
@@Return2Nothingness that’s a good choice
Here I thought you were coming to my shop. Lol😅
To remove that rubbing there's a bolt on bracket behind that felt liner I removed it on mine and drilled a hole in the mudflap to add a bolt to screw in where that bracket attached to the body.. that pulled it in roughly 1.5" and no more rubbing.. and I did heat the mudflap before screwing in that bolt so it molds into it's new position.
Yes sir! Well aware! I am waiting for my fender flares to see exactly what if anything that will need a little nip/tuck
Great idea! I’ve just encountered this with my new wheels.
I just ordered 18" wheels by fuel, and 35's for my 21 Denali HD and can't wait!
18s ride so much better than the 20s tho👍🏿
Those wheels look great Don. I like that style alot. I found some like that a few years back I almost bought for a different truck...but never pulled the trigger. Been looking at the Open Country's and the BFG AT's as replacement for my AT4. Get rid of that Duratrak buzz. Thanks for all of your videos. Gives me some great ideas for my rig.
Thanks buddy. Sharing my projects, good, bad or ugly are meant to help people who want to know more when it comes to mods. Almost all of my ‘stuff’ has relevance with other vehicles too. Thanks for your support
I’ve had 35X12.50 Toyo ATIII’s on my lifted Trail Boss for over a year. I love them, you will too. You need to get a Pulsar LT, it makes the 6.2L much more fun to drive
Yup 35, 12.5's It's a good ride match..
Looks good. Good choice going with theToyo AT3. I have a 2020 AT4 and I tried the Nitto Recon Grapplers. I ended up switching them because I wasn’t able to get a smooth ride with the factory size 275/60-20. I just switched to the Toyo AT3 and they are way smoother. They look more narrow than the Nitto so I wish I would have went with 285’s as you did.
I think we did alright 😊
Nitto is overpriced! Don't last, I just odered35,s in 12 ply 👍
Very nice rims I like them alot. I'm thinking of same tires toyo or nitto. Not to sure yet. Great review the force is strong.
They look great! What a huge upgrade
Have a plan for your wheel spacers?
Hi Don love your channel and your mod's you've already have done ,it look's amazing so far.On your just recent vid bout your tire's and rim's you mentioned you had put Bilstein's 5100 series shock's.I purchased a set myself. They are the 5100 B8 serie's with a 6 ring height adjustable. If your's are the same what position did you put them in.I have a 2020 TB silverado 5.3 that came with the 2'' factory lift. Can you give me some insight as to where to position the ring clip just to level it.And I do plan on putting lt 285/70/18's later. The duratrac's are way to annoying .
Where did you buy the 5100s? I think the TB and AT4 have a specific one that only has 3 levels of clip adjustment. I put mine in the 3rd position which is 1.1” of increased height. Here is the part number I used : Bilstein 24-309509
Don i have a confession. I scrapped the At4 plan and bought a Tremor. 😮. Still subscribed, many upgrades both vehicles can share!!
That’s cool. The Tremor is a mean ride. I have a Ford F-150 too with v8 but I let me work crew use it
Good stuff Don! Glad there's not much rubbing for you!
Cheers man! This is just the start. I am waiting for the next mod to arrive so I can address the rubbing
@Donslife your truck is definitely an inspiration. My AT4X shipped this week, so hopefully it gets here soon and I can start modding!
Very nice Very Nice Don..
It’s coming along! Thanks for checking it out
Nice wheels. I'd look into centramatic balancers. Really help with smoothness and tire wear.
Those looks awesome. Had a double dark tint on my blue chevy black and bronze. they also looked awesome. Are you selling your old setup?
Thanks. I am holding onto them for now incase I upgrade the truck. Not sure if that’s the plan either
Love the wheels looks awesome...would this fit on an elevation trim sierra 1500? Or does it have to be a at4?
They have one the fit your Elevation with pretty much the same offset. Email them or call them for help, they know their stuff. Use the promo code DONSLIFE and it might save you some money too. If you keep the stock tire size, you shouldn’t have any rubbing issues either.
Looks great Don! Do you have as much poke with the new setup? I'm running the very same wheel spacers (thanks to you) on my '22 AT4 with the stock wheels and love the look.
.36' less poke. Check out this link, it allows you to account for spacers and helps compare exact differences : tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/
my factory 18x9's were 24mm offset with 275/65r18 tires (+1.5" spacers)
new 285/60r20 offset zero (no spacers)
Awesome video! Cannot wait for the wheel well video! I hate those carpet liners on a truck. Living in the country they are pure dirt all the time. :)
A pain to clean! The design benefit is for sound deadening 🤷🏻♂️
Looks awesome! Keeping my stock 18” wheels but with my Readylift leveling kit, I’m going to stuff a 275/70/18 Toyo AT3 tire in there! Psyched to hear of your experience with them 💪🏻
Sounds great!
Do 295/70/18
@@Michael_Puddephatt I wanted too! But with the Readylift leveling kit upper control arm, I don’t believe I’ll have the clearance to put anything wider than 275. Unless you’ve had a different experience?
@@edgerlyb19 gotcha yeah on stocks it will rub but you can add 1/4 spacer if you wanted
Greetings from next door in Alberta. I am looking at an AT4 and would plan to put 35’s on it. You mentioned your Bilstein shocks gave you 1” lift up front. For 35’s would stock + a simple 1.75” or 2” level shim work?
Hello! Alberta born and raised too! 1.75”-2” will be needed for sure for 35’s.
GREAT CHOICE DON 👍 I have toyo at3 quiet tire and throws slush and mud away from truck I love them 👍🙏 ✌️🇨🇦
Thanks man. Your opinion matters to me ✌🏼
SICK WHEELS
Not your typical style
Let us know if you lose any mileage w those tires. I’m between those and the fallen wildpeak At3w. I hate the duratracs noise.
Bro i just found your channel and i subscribed....i and buying my first truck this spring...i love your truck..i and buying the same one...its badass....i dont think the wheels make it look mean at all...but im not trying to be a dick but I dont think it looks good....the truck is sick tho and im looking forward to getting mine...im in Toronto..thanks for all your reviews on this truck cos im buying 1
Look at it now. Let me know what you think:

Great look, Don!
Thanks brother!
Looks great! Looking forward to your fender mods. 🤙🏼
Thank man! I am going for something a bit different than the other 10,000 trucks I see in my parts on a daily basis
Bye the way those new rim's you have look GREATTTTTT!
Thank ✌🏼 I was nervous about going way different but I always have black wheels and so does everyone else around here. Also the military/utility look should work with some future ideas
What size tires did you go with? I have a 22 Silverado trail boss. With a 1.75 inch level kit I was going to go with some Ballistic wheels 20x9 0 offset and Toyo open country At3 295/65/20. 34 inch tire. My research indicates it should not rub.
Hey Don, how is the road noise on the toyo tires?
So much less than the Duratracs. I recommend them as a good option for these trucks
@@Donslife I'm looking to buy some tires and wanted to get your opinion on the toyos. Thx Don. Prechate ya
Rims look good! You’ll love the mudflap delete, looks way better!
Thanks 🙏🏻 Just waiting for some parts 😑
Have you had to recalibrate your speedo, or have you ever checked to see how "off" it is? And what are you doing with the old wheels and tires? Thanks
It's only out a few kms
I will be covering it in a video but it is barely out like Mike HD said. Funny thing is my speedo with the factory setup was 1-2 km out (slower) than actual. Now it is the other way (faster) than what the speedo says. I might choose to live with it. We’ll see
Nice shoes man !
Nice! Do you think with the mudflap delete kit you will have zero rubbing?
Not sure, but optimistic. It comes down to mounting points and material thickness of the product I have chosen to replace the mudflaps. Unfortunately almost everything is determined by pictures on the internet 😂
Looks great don.
Some like, some dislike…..
What is the size of your tires? And why did the mechanic say "vehicle recommended PSI"? Those wheels look nice!!!
Thanks. All of the tire info is the last segment of the video. I go quite in depth.
They are set to the recommended PSI listed on the door jamb.
LT285/60r20 I talk about whether they rub or not too
Toyo AT 3, a great tire IMO
How far are you from minot ND ?I’m 70 mile 20 south 50 east
6.5 hours north doing the speed limit
Dang that a good jug.

Thanks for the visit 👍🏼 I appreciate the positivity
LETS GO! 🔥
What about the TPM? Not going to be concerned about that? Does your Tire Company have the learn tool?
There were new sensors programmed and installed in the beginning of the video
Camo black wrapped flares ?
I chose a very specific set of flares that are wrap friendly. That’s all I am prepared to say
@@Donslife hopefully not camo lol
@@mikehd3904 no, not camo….
@@Donslife yeah I dunno know, camo is so ...90's lol, I just ordered polished black and milled edges for wheels ,and 35's 😁 , for the Denali
Those look awesome!
Thanks friend! When are you coming to Saskatoon?
@@Donslife uncertain yet. I feel like I should wait till our friend has his medical restriction lifted though
Hey Don. I got a 20x9 gmc with 2 inch lift kit. My tires are 275 60 20. What wheel/size do I need to have the same factory look? 0 offset?
Use this link - Thank me later : tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/
The 20" factory wheels and 18" factory wheels might have a little different offset, so check that out too by doing some research. My factory 18x8.5's are a 24mm offset, so a Zero offset sticks out more than factory. My spacers were making my factory wheels more like a zero offset wheel.
@@Donslife I was told 18mm would be no problem. Your thoughts on method wheels?
they look good! I have 35" on a 17" 12.50" KM3's they're not super light but love them on my Method's for my ZR2 Silverado
I did not get Icon suspension for one reason and I will buy these wheels in the future for another
Hi Don. Greetings from Alberta. What are you thoughts on running LT295/60/20 ATIII on my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 with Bilstein 5100's and Bilstein UCA. I am currently running 33x12.5x20 Goodyear Duratrac on Carbon Pro 20" wheel. Thanks
Hey there! I am from Alberta! I like this site to figure out tire sizes : tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/
Wouldn’t the auto retractable cover get stuck due to ice in winter? But if it CAN survive in your area then it WILL definitely work here in SE michigan🤣
Stay tuned
Do you find they slide more than the Duratracs when in the snow and on wet roads or is it just me?
I won’t really know until next winter returns now..
Most likely better than Goodyear, the duratrac isn't good in winter
I have had 4 sets of duratracs I would have gone with another set if I could get ahold of a set. Supply in Canada sucks. I’m currently running AT3’s and I find they slide around a lot in the snow and on wet pavement.
@@HillBillyTheKid my buddy had them on 19 Denali hd, they were ok but wore faster I thought. I'm BC, gravel roads all around town, he ran them for 2 years. Pretty slippery with the second winter
I liked the performance of my Duratracs. They were a decent tire in my opinion, but I wanted to try something different too. I was considering MT BAJA Boss ATs, but they were out of stock and quite a bit heavier
Very nice
Do they rube on corners?
Near the end of the video I show where there is a small amount of rubbing in the wheel well against the mudflap
Thanks 🙏 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
I have 2020 at4 1500
Wheel 🛞 stock 275/60R/20 115S
I’m looking 👀
New tires 🛞 Falken wildpeak A/T4W 😊😊😊 probably go 265-285/65/20
Looks nice ! But always a better bet is more tire less wheel..makes for a smoother ride and more capable off road
Like the truck. I have 2020 Elevation package Sierra, did a 3in lift and have 20x9 stock wheels with a spacer, and 305/55 nitto tires. Love it. Mine is in the shop with bad lifters though =(
@@mrsds44th ya it’s bs! Love the truck, but they have to figure that stuff out
I too had lifters replaced in my 2021 Serria with 15,000 miles, so far so good
Wheels and Tires look great 👍. Only my opinion, I don't like them on the white truck. Maybe a new truck theme coming soon. 🤔
We shall see
🔥
Thanks 🙏🏻
How much you want for the old wheels?
I am holding onto them for now incase I upgrade the truck
But I do enjoy your videos
I can live with that 😊
My sierra is having 275/60/r20 with no rubbing
They shouldn’t since that is the factory size for 20” wheels. These are 285mm width and a tiny bit taller as a result. Also these wheels have a different offset
Frankly.... I was expecting lighted wheels.... 😂😂😂
Next video 😂
My honest opinion... Love the style.. Think they should be black tho.
Fair comment - I decided to try something different and have a bigger picture plan
Nothing my Hyperdip skills can fix either. 😂
What steps are those? Go rhino?

Your professional tire guy doesn’t know how to correctly balance a tire. The cone goes on the back side
If I see him again, I’ll tell him
Great video as always, but not a fan of those wheels at all on your truck. Sorry.
Not everyone’s cup of tea, no worries
They look okay but the color is horrendous
Nice 👍🏼
Hideous looking wheels.
Nooo
Not a fan of those wheels
Not a style for everyone
those wheels don't match in my opinion.
They will. One step closer
I feel like the black hood/top somehow throws off the gold color. If the truck was all white, might look different
The roof wrap is just there right now…
Sorry those wheels are hideous, go back to old!!!
Brink security truck wheels ??? IMO they ugly as hell.
All good friend. I knew they’d be controversial
That does not look good.
Just watch the top half of the screen
@@Donslife 👍🏼 💡
@@Donslife lmfao 🤣 😂
Love those wheels. But stick on weights?? Why?!? Just get dynabeads installed inside the tire and the tire will stay balanced for it's entire life. Any other method, lead weights or stick on, will be out of balance as the tire wears down. Stick on weights fly off. I can't believe someone like you went with stick on weights. Look up dyna beads if you don't know what they are.
I have heard of beads. I haven’t used them. Not all shops even offer them. Sure I could pull the valve stem cores and pour them in. I heard that beads can be a problem for some TPMS too. I don’t know, but that’s what I have heard. Maybe there are screens for them or something. Centramatic balancers are an option too. Sorry to let you down, but I am lucky that all my vehicles have made it this far with stick ons. I haven’t had any fall off including my M4 that goes pretty fast.
