beautiful! i think this is at least partly an homage to the relationship of the orchestra/individual players within to the audience. some of the parts seem to almost invite listeners/watchers to imagine what the performer is hearing.

This sems quite advanced on quite a few levels. In the circles I move in I am often considered almost unbearably advanced and intense. For instance I consulted for a year with a seventy year old therapist who specialized in criminal insanity and had fifty years experience. She specifically told me that I singularly exhibited the highest degree of mental sufferance that she had ever encountered. Which was an eye opener for me. But then I see and hear something like this. This seems unprecedented. At least to me. I heard that Lachenmann writes music which is designed to change people.

I'm sorry to hear of your suffering. What helps you to live with your suffering? Music certainly. What else? I'm dealing with my own life and always interested in how other people cope.

Was soll's, für wen komponiert?

Listening to lachenmann is like looking at the back of the canvas but not the painting
