    I so appreciate you counting every strum as it teaches us to maintain a consistent strum and to "never get lost" while playing a song; among many other important things. Thanks so much, Lara!

    Brilliant, so clear and the best video of hand and fingers that I've seen.

    I am grateful for this video and your patient methodical manner of instructing. Well done!!! For me personally, however, it would be easier to follow and go through the entire song in one strumming pattern before moving on to the next.

    This is a super tutorial, thanks so much for sharing. Great job! Do you think this could work in the baritone uke too? Just curious, as I’m still learning the ropes. Thanks again :)

      Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed this! In general if you’re using DGBE tuning and you’d like to stay in the same key as me then you can either use a capo on your 5th fret or use baritone chord shapes. Or you can play the same chord shapes that I’m using without the capo and you’ll be in a different key on your baritone. Thanks for the question!

    I have a high G ukulele and I have a question for the intro in high G is there any nice way that I can replace the 4th cord sound? Cause it doesn't sound good with the high G.

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the question Debbie. You could play the tabs only on strings 1 - 3 for the intro. For the final two notes, instead of the lower B and C on the 4th and 3rd strings, you could play B and C an octave higher on the 1st string (2nd and 3rd frets).

    Lara, my Kala KA-STGE-C arrived yesterday. Did you need to file the nut slot to accommodate the AQ-16 wound low G string?

    • @LaraMarkowitzMusic
      @LaraMarkowitzMusic  2 года назад

      Congrats on the new Kala!! I didn't have to file mine but you may find that you need to if the low G isn't fitting well.

      @@LaraMarkowitzMusic Thank you.
      YT “Tina’s Music” also uses that Kala, and she’s from a classical guitar background.
      Apparently, you added a strap button to your Kala.

      @@usernamemykel Yes, it's very easy to add a button at most uke shops.

      I put a piece of masking or painter ‘s tape over where I intend to drill, to protect the instrument (guitar or uke), use a Sharpie to place a dot where I want to drill the hole, then I proceed to drill a hole for the button. No need for anyone else to get involved, and to travel to that person, trust them to do a proper job without damage, and pay them for something so simple that Spongebob Squarepants could do any day of the week, in his pajamas. 😀
