I REALLY LOVE THIS TRIBUTE! Two men who were vastly on the opposite side of the spectrum. One man named Andrew Ryan wished to run away from the governments of the world, God, and a society bound by "Petty Moralities" and built his Utopia under the waves of the Oceans. Another man named Zachary Hale Comstock was sick of the sinful way's he saw the world. He saw progress only through religious dedication and built his Utopia in the Skies above. Two powerful men who built the Impossible, but were still flawed by their own ambitions. Their flaws of being human caused their Utopia's to collapse under their own weight. One would be crushed by the encroaching Sea's and the other would begin to fall from the sky.
+TheHauntedReader I feel bad about what happened to Rapture, however, it really wasn't his fault really it was Lamb, Atlas, and Elizabeth. His view was really amazing and wish everything would have worked out for him.
***** Interesting story and premise, but there isn't anyone alive during that time period that could restore Rapture to its former glory and in the vision Ryan had for. Rapture is literally just sunken ship and a buried utopia like Atlantis.
There needs to be more tributes like this that treat a game like a movie trailer instead of let's play rock music to the most badass parts of the game.
@@redjackal2368 > independence Well, I remember there even was a diary entry in BS1 of an immigrant who said that ppl were arriving to start a business and become rich, signed the papers and stayed to find out that all the markets have already been divided. So they had to become eternal toilet attendants with no upward social mobility in sight. And remember that despite Ryan's claimed faith in free market, he practically nationalised Fountain's business. Rapture could've had no racial segregation, but definetely was that world of capitalistic conspiracy and explotation present in all communist myths.
I keep finding these tributes to the Bioshock trilogy, and they are all so well done. Still the greatest video game/story I've ever participated in. I finished Infinite in 2013 and haven't stopped thinking about it since...
Amazing video, man! It Gave me chills, the combination of the music and Timing of the dialogue (The voice actors for these games are terrific) :-D anyhow you get thumbs up!
@@aeneasreina3818 I just like Ryan underneath all his talk he was still a human and was destroyed by how and what had become his son. A man chooses a slave obeys
Andrew Ryan went against his morals and commanded his people through pheromones and turned them into his soldiers Comstock inducted hundreds of people into his cult theirs just two people with a different set of books.
The final entry will revolve around the Burial at Sea DLC. So far half of the video is done thanks to episode one, now I'm just waiting for episode two in order to bring the trilogy to an end.
very good sir very good, iam playing trough it chronologly now after I played trough infinte for the second time incl burial at sea and gotten platinum, i start bioshock 1 today and the second after that.. very gj
It's amazing how different both men are when you take the time to listen to their words. For me, Ryan is the one who deserves the mantle of leadership. His words are what inspire people to build Eden in what others might see as a Sodom.
Andrew Ryan and Comstock are the definitions of "Opposites". I far more respect Andrew Ryan than Comstock, from the whole series when I played Bioshock long ago. Ryan's Rapture in my opinion was way better than Comstock's Columbia, just imagine if Fontaine never made it past 1959, do you think Rapture would still be destroyed or would it be something different?
+Diablo Lord Of Terror It would have survived a little longer had Fontaine not made it. However, Ryan's belief in Objectivism was not his weakness, it was ability to give them up so quickly, for example, when he started to restrict trade, his use of mind control, him keeping little sisters, and nationalizing businesses which are all things him as a Objectivist are things he shouldn't have done.
I like how they slowly get louder and more forceful throughout the video (similarly to how they act in the games). I think writing either of them off as insane would be a cheap way of discrediting whatever small amount of merit their ideologies hold, but it's obvious that both are at least a little unhinged. I suppose they have to be, to do the terrible things they both do as the games progress, and the terrible things they did before the games even started.
Redemption by Zack Hemsey (Note for the future, I site the music I use at the end of all of my videos, right after the, "Thank You For Watching," screen.
I liked to dislike comstock. I like him as a villain and antagonist, but hate him for how corrupted and evil he was as a virtual person. The only thing I wish Bioshock 3 would have allowed was for me to throw that ball at the announcer.

Played all 3 Bioshock games, and this, by far, is the best video about this saga i've ever seen. Congrats sir, you deserve way more fame.
Thanks!

Ryan and Comstock would absolutely hate each other,
Cameron Hall I want to see the political debate.
+Cameron Hall XD They are polar opposites. I wouldn't mind Andrew Ryan being president, but Comstock on the other hand is a lunatic Christian zealot.

There’s always a man, there’s always a city, and there is always a lighthouse.
That was an amazing video i love how you worked in the parallels of the whole trilogy :)

Gotta say this such an underrated tribute, only 14 k views in 2 years is a fucking disgrace when it comes to art like this!
Andrew Ryan is 10 times the man Comstock ever could be great vid!

At least Comstock was a leader who people naturally followed. Andrew Ryan simply offered freedom and a getaway.

Incredible! I can't wait to see what the final entry of your trilogy will be.

another fantastic video I'm looking forward to the final one.
The man who made this is a man who knows what he is doing..x
this could be a trailer for a movie
I LOVE this video! Great work!
Objectivism vs Nationalism, which one do you follow?
This was pretty cool man!

Amazing

Who would win rapture before it fell or columba
Absolutely fantastic tribute. Easily my favorite for the Bioshock franchise. If you don't mind me asking. What's the song used in the video?
Redemption by Zack Hemsey (Note for the future, I site the music I use at the end of all of my videos, right after the, "Thank You For Watching," screen.
***** Not sure how I missed that :/. Thanks !
awesome dude
There's only one thing that Andrew Ryan and Zachary Comstock have in common: they're both bonkers insane!!
+owen parris How is Andrew Ryan insane. He was fucking right about everything. Comstock I can agree, but Ryan really.
andrew ryan was right about everything which was exactly why his city fell into the hand of a criminal!!!....oh wait
why wasn't Bioshock 2 on here?
It was?
What font is “men of the impossible” written in?
The font is called "Andes." It can be downloaded here: www.dafont.com/search.php?q=andes
thank you your video is amazing
Nice video, but I miss some amazing quotes from Bio2. Or anything mentioned from that if this is a tribute for the whole trilogy.
Cool video
Who is speaking in the beginning?
It's Ryan, just from a clip where his voice sounds a little bit different, for some reason.
NCaldwellCreations oh ok thanks
👍👍
A very cool tribute. Yet, you should warn for spoilers (don't want to spoil the surprise for new players, would you ;) ).
Then dont look at The video stupid
Never liked Comstock. At all. .-.

+spear401 I liked Comstock, though. :c
