    Jimmy was all about allot more than just a few good guitar riffs. He composed and created the whole set up. And created a great if not the greatest rock band ever seen on this planet. All these years in and we still are in awe of this great band. That's why for me you can compare him to Mozart. Because this music and this band will be remembered in years to come and for evermore.

    us old folks that were kids when the Zeppelin hit took for granted how great they were(and how much we'd miss them)and the youngsters that were born after Zeppelin's heyday are frustrated by how little compared to other bands/performers of Zeppelin recordings there are. It's all a testament of how unique and great LED ZEPPELIN WERE.

    I luv all three surviving Zeps, and Jason. I'm amazed that Jimmy looks so youthful. He's 4 years older than Percy, and supposedly dabbled in hard drugs, but these days he looks way younger than the Grey God. JPJ is also holding his own in the race against father time. In 2012 at the Kennedy Center Honors, Percy looked very old; might it be the black country cider? Maybe Jimmy has a magick moisturizer, or.....a portrait in the attic. 🤔😂🎶💙🎶

      I had a similar boot as well as the official BBC version from 20 years ago. For this 2016 version, It appears that, mostly, there are some " new " ( unheard ) versions of familiar songs. But the main thing is the MASSIVE improvement to the sound quality. My GAWD. . . the band sounds even more visceral on all three discs, if that were all possible. New tracks are an extended version of " White Summer " and the Rhythm And Blues Session version of " Sunshine Woman. " I don't remember " That's The Way " and " Going To California " ever in boot form before so those have to be new, so to speak. Most of the Paris Cinema, London 1971 session is here which contain a few Zoso tracks 8 months before official release ( " Black Dog, " " Stairway To Heaven " and " Going To California ". Overall, I think you'll love it. It's LOUD, even in mono. But this release has made me go back and really listen to in concert Led Zeppelin. Enjoy it!

    my mom was a prof at the university of washington and university music, a place run by assholes had righteous zep boots. my mom surprisingly (she was STRICT) agreed to buy me some; i'd reimburse.
    as she was looking through bins for the one i wanted (mudslide?) the FBI came in and busted the store. and she a prof! she said she relaxed and VERY, very slowly melted out of the store. she said the FBI scowled at her; she was sure they saw she was perusing the boots which probably isn't actionable.
    needless to say, she didn't try again LOL :)

    Jimmy: You must be a direct relative of Apollo. Apollo is the son of Leto (his mother) 120 CE (Before the Common Era [BCE]). Dating back, obviously, some number of years [2137 years, circa], music has come a great distance. Apollo did not really know a great deal about the direction in which formal music scores (writings) would tally-up. However Apollo is held to be accountable for music (Apollo "stands on record" as the first known GOD of music) ... Yet, hardly can it be expected that Apollo is due to be held responcible for your enormous display of music. There are million, of people who stand witness to your musical wizzardry. Untold of millions of Legitiment Records have been lodged and distributed, as an exhibit of your actions. It is impossible to think someone would believe I was not aware of your significants and participation in such alleged music acts. You have most likely not heard the last of this.

    @johnasheton9153 7 лет назад

    Of course I'm jealous of the charmed life this guy has led!! But I'm equally as jealous of Iggy Pop, and MC5, and Henry Rollins too. Artists that represent persistence and conviction. If Jimmy Page and the other guys in Zeppelin did not make it right outta the gate...as they did, would they have had the intestinal fortitude to keep going?? I doubt it. They're overrated thieves, which have had their asses kissed for 50 years over marginal material, most of which...they stole.

    • @Kaagrant
      @Kaagrant 5 лет назад +3

      No, they did not steal most of their material. For your education, please read the replies to the comment just above yours. Craig Wiggins explains it much better than most.
      They were and are brilliant musicians. They worked hard (they played hard too, as so many puritanical types love to point out). Before the age of 25, all four of these guys were very successful, and they kept it going for over ten years. Give credit where credit is due.
      And you call them overrrated? Judging by the continuing interest and enthusiasm for Led Zeppelin, I’d say you’re dead wrong, but that’s an opinion, let’s just say apparently, according to the numbers, most people who know of them disagree with you. The announcement about the lottery for tickets to the 02 show in 2007 not only busted the server due to the huge numbers of hits, but there were something like 20 million entries for tickets to that show. That’s 20-million folks, at least, who wholeheartedly disagree with you. Led Zeppelin’s legacy is well secured.
