    Thanks for taking the time to show how you tweak this prophecy. I have the Prophesy II and still love it! 🤘😎

    I have the Voodoo Valve and The Prophesy II. Two midi mate floorboards and the Rocktron expression pedal. I never used a pedal again since I acquired these units. The manuals really help dial these units in and it's like anything else, just takes some time to get used to the rig.

      The pre-post eq's are a bit tough to suss, IMO. Beyond assigning each band to an expression pedal, having another person to tweak the dials while playing would be great to hear what's happening.

    Nice review! I’ve got that same Prophesy, you’ve got a real nice tone out of it. Maybe explore more of the parametric eq part and asdr. Thanks!

    Great In depth tutorial on the Prophesy…..I have a Prophesy 2 & love the unit…..I was wondering if I can trigger a boost function for solos through my Midi Controller….is there a way I can do this in the Prophesy so I don’t have to double up on my patches?

      Yes. Just assign the preset's volume (low>high) to either a CC controller on the board - for instant boost - or use an expression pedal to swell it up as fast or slow as you want. Set the min/max volume you need. NOTE: THERE IS NO SPILLOVER, other than the delay, between presets. So you would experience a momentary loss of signal if you assign the boosted signal to another preset. "Back in the day" I tried to do that with the Wah function - Wah reduces the loudness of the preset. And voilà - a short loss of signal. I couldn't get around it then. I need to try experimenting with assigning a CC command to do simultaneous volume boost AND wah on/off with the same midi command. I go Midi Mate> Loop 8> to tons of stuff in a rack. Sometimes pedals on a shelf. Always: guitar > Peterson tuner > whatever's next.

    Hi mate, how did you get that sound from the direct output ??? Which one did you use ? XLR or jack ? I have a mark 2 prophesy and why I use the XLR output straight into my soundcard, the sound is awful. Did you put IRs behind for this video ? If not, what are your setting on the prophesy to get that sound ?

      I used the Cab emulation in the Prophesy.Then XLR out into my recording interface No external IRs ir post processing ...

      @@DanielKraemerMusic how is that possible ? If I do that, the sound is awful... it's sound good with speak simulation turned off and through a poweramp on the main out jack output. But the XLR output is creepy. Maybe I cannot use both at the same time ?

      @@DanielKraemerMusic You're talking about the "speaker simulation menu" right ? What are your settings to get such a great sound ? I must be missing something....

      @@thomstunes6485 Yes, the speaker simulator, type 12", mic pos +2, react 0.0, 1/4 on.So I guess I used the quarter inch output...and a lot of eqing, like I explained here: ruclips.net/video/w6WLyskhP_k/видео.htmlsi=C9ChpOaCVEFizLA7
      Maybe I should make another video about that unit 🤔😁🤘

    Hello . I am French and I have just seen your video.
    Great game and great sound with the PROPHESY.
    I have a PROPHESY 1. Can you give me the setting of your LEAD sound (in detail amp, post and pre EQ and also setting the delay, that would be nice)
    Waiting for a good Christmas.

    Hi,
    I was wondering if you know how to connect the digitech harmony man to the effects loop of the prophecy on a distortion signal…..I’ve done the send & return combination & a input cable in the harmony man, I get a signal on the harmony man but NO harmonies….I’ve also assigned a loop to my Rocktron midi raider!!
    But no harmony!!
    I want to also loop a tube screamer & fuzz…..which would be the best way to do this!!
    Pre effect or Post effect
    Thanks 😊

    I have the voodu valve and it's cool :) My question is since these units are like 12+ years old, why isn't there any newer models made since then? Technology is a lot better now and it seems like they could make these killer units even better with more options and stuff nowadays. idk lol

    • @DanielKraemerMusic
      @DanielKraemerMusic  2 года назад

      Good question, Katie Paine...IMHO, these old Rocktron units can sound killer (at least for high gains), but todays modeling units can sound even better and are way easier to control. Even cheaper units like the Nux MG30, the Valeton GP200, Mooer GE are superior to these old Rocktron units. Plus these new units are way cheaper tahn the Rocktrons were back then. That said, I wonder, why Rocktron didn't enter the modeling market. I guess, they have at least the KnowHow and the algorithms for great digital effects/sepaker emulations/distortions...

    how do you get a clean on this ? anything I do is just distorted ? only way I can get a clean is to turn the guitar volume right down

    Hmm. Just a request if you could showcase the adsr function...
    Also what is maximum effects per channel?

      You can use about whatever you want -- with the exception of the Rotary - with most of the other FX. Rotary uses the most processing power of all the FX. Too many FX in a chain could possibly glitch-up the pitch shifting (experiment - it's no Whammy 1). You can try using some detune for subtle chorusing (like the 80's!) if you're not attempting a whammy effect. And it's all stereo unless you choose to run mono.

    Is it possible to turn off the emulation? It seems like that should be a yes since you can run it external to the existing amp. It could be interesting hearing it through a Torpedo Live, Reload or Captor although the emulation does sound pretty good.

    • @DanielKraemerMusic
      @DanielKraemerMusic  2 года назад +2

      Yes, it's possible.Maybe I'll give it a try in the future 😉

      I used my prophesy through a torpedo live using the main out R jack output. The main out left jack was for my poweramp. So I used a 2*12 as ha personnal monitor and the PA uses the torpedo. That makes 2 independants volume outputs and works great :). You can turn the emulation off in the speaker simulation menu.

    Kemper oder Rocktron?

    • @DanielKraemerMusic
      @DanielKraemerMusic  Год назад

      Thats a good question...but if the price doesn't matter, would be the Kemper. The effects, resolution, flexibility and dynamics are way superior.
