This unit that came out in the 90's sounds better than some modelers that are made in this day and age. lol
It's quite amazing. I like it better than the JMP-1 and other rack preamps. Am surprised it has such good medium gain crunch sounds as well.
I picked one of these up a few years ago. Great backup unit to my Rocktron Prophesy II.🎸😎

You got that sounding pretty good! I just picked up another voodoo valve. My third one. Just sold my marshall jcm 2000 dsl100. Its my voodoo valve, and a new Hiwatt Hi-Gain 100 Head as soon as I save $2500! I played my last voodoo through a ADA BS200 Bi-polar power amp and it was very good! Warm! Incase your wondering a good poweramp to match.

Looks like this one has seen better days, while it's missing several buttons, back knob...Mine is an actual 98' original w/ the witchdoctor on the front. Missing one knob on front. No internet connection, boo...Nice playing!!

Alex Stern Thanks Alex. I didn't see the info until you pointed it out. If you don't mind me asking, what type of Midi Foot Contoller are you using? Is it hard to program with the foot controller if needed?

I'm not sure about your question... I'm just connect it through the midi cable and use it :)
So you didn't have to do any midi programming it sounds like to use the foot controller. That's great.. Thanks so much. I'll look into it. I'm trying to decide if I want to go with a rack unit. I'm 52 and have played for years, but normally only use delay and a wah basically besides reverb with whatever tube amp I used to play thru, but now I want to add pitch shifting and some other cool effects, so having a tube / solid state preamp will be nice. Thanks again.. :-) Tim
Tim Smallwood I highly recommend this device for live performance... but not for studio works. For studio works, everything should be separately - delay, preamp, etc (in my humble opinion). But how and what to use, it's only on you!

Is that this Rocktron Voodu Valve will cut off the noisy sound like the old Rocktron G.A.P 1 ? !
As I know, almost all production devices of Rocktron have HUSH Noise Reduction.

Hello. I used normal distortion + delay and controlling volume by pedal on midi foot controller. Rising the volume on every note, as you can see on this video (the upper left corner).
