That design. Those colors. The race style. That has to be the Wonder Wasp built by John Tanaka from the Federation! Wonder Wasp. It's a wonderful car for the most part. Machines built by their driver just shows the dedication to F-Zero by the drivers. This thing is freaking stylish. Love those legs on the bottom and the pod. While the color choice doesn't match a wasp, it's still pretty cool. Now then, this thing plays pretty good. Body is a D so enough said. Boost is a pretty good one. Grip is definitely not a D. It's so easy to control but still easy to drift. More of like a B or an A. Speed ain't too bad and acceleration is good. But it has the same camera deal as the White Cat and Wild Goose making it a little tricky to drive. Still, nice machine ya hermit and it's possible to get first in Phantom Road.
Thanks for doing the Wonder Wasp. Yeah, Tanaka is not by any means the most interesting character, but it shows that not all of the game's characters are all "ooh, how strange/interesting".
I think the reason Wonder Wasp works similar to White Cat is because, as far as I'm aware, Tanaka has a crush on Jody (or so I've read from his profile).
I still do not understand why Wonder Wasp keeps on dying in Port Town Long Pipe course in any difficulty without fail he falls down and gets no points. I try to see why he falls down but I never figure how, can someone try see that? As an AI racing this vehicle.
+Padlock Films It's probably way too late to reply, but it's referred to as a "Momentum Turbo Rail Slide" (MTRS), is an exploit of the game's physics, and gives a gigantic speed boost for a few seconds at the cost of a lot of health. There's no good way to exit an MTRS without losing a lot of speed, so it's generally done to shave a few tenths of a second off the last bit of a lap, more than enough to pass a small number of racers.

Glad to see you give a positive review on the Wonder Wasp!
The Wonder Wasp's booster makes one of the coolest sounds ever.
I love that booster sound
I still can't forgive Nintendo for not including 'Like A Snake' on Port Town's stage music in Super Smash Bros. Brawl
or Crazy Call at Cry
Sucks Tanaka is so boring in the interviews. His character in the anime series was a lot more fun and interesting.
Well dentsu did come out AFTER gx.

Lol, Deathborn off the track in Mute City. Not in the top 6 anymore, but still finish second place.
.__.
Wait hang on, he fell off halfway through the last lap! How'd that happen?

He wants her baaaaad. Though she's friendzoning him hard. Even in his character movie.
I love Wonder Wasp's design !

At least his soundtrack is nice :3
Why do you keep sliding your machine against the wall near the end?

The only good thing about him is DAD stats
The Golden Fox and Silver Rat also have DAD stats.
I agree. dr. tanaka is a meh...
Tanaka's pretty boring. I'd say him and Roger Buster are on par for "least interesting"
I don’t really like this ship at all.
