- I wanted a dog door, but couldn't put one in my door and didn't want to punch any holes into my wall. So, I made a temporary one that attaches to the door. The old one was made of foam poster board and duct tape. This one is made from wood.
You sir, are a genius! I've just adopted another rescue and was looking for a cheaper solution than putting a door into my double glazed garage side door.
Perfect! Woke up this morning thinking about something exactly like this. Well done sir.
I would pay good money for something like this! Are there instructions somewhere? What material did you use?
Great Idea!
You can tell how much thought went into the door, by how it has the finishing touches. Like the spring loaded dummy knob, awesome idea. I build or create practically anything I need.
I was thinking about every and any solution but this, with the glass storm door on my garage.
Thank you for sharing, and again great idea! You really should patent this - The money spent in the pet supply industry is huge, and this would definitely sell. I have to tell you. I've watched thousands of videos over the years, and this is my first and only comment I have ever left.
Do you take custom orders? I'm not handy, but would pay you to build one and ship to me 😃
Wish someone could make something like this actually explaining what to do. Definitely want something like this
Do you have a template for this ? I would love detailed instructions
simply put.. Wow.. Very well executed. everyone is selling "cut" hole products in our home doors. great job!
Thank YOU for sharing this great solution!
This is incredible! What a fantastic Idea!
This is genius dude. I was trying to figure out how to diy something similar . I need this and would definitely buy this. Get your patent man
I agree!
extremely smart!! i’m too lazy to open and close my bedroom door for my pets every 5 mins or at night, but i don’t want to ruin my door by cutting a hole in it :(
Very clever design. I have an observation to point out though.
There doesn't appear to be any kind of a seal such as weather stripping where panels intersect with themselves as well as against the interior door trim.
EDIT: Also, there's no seal at the bottom of the door.
Do you have instructions for this?
This is GENIUS , can you make one for a sliding door and let me buy it from you?!
There are sliding door options available at your local hardware store 😊
@@DonaBologna And Amazon!
Wow! This is awesome!

This idea is brilliant I need this for a large dog but can't buy this in Australia only the ones for sliding doors which I do not have.
She’s that’s so creative! Can order one ?!
Genius, I would buy this if you sold it
Good video keep up good video

Genius
Would pay you to make one for me!
Do you provide plans

Inspirational
Do you sell these??
Can you make one for me!!?? Lol
You interested in building one for money. I live in a townhome that I rent, and short of buying another door and storing this one I’m stuck. I have a Newfie that is trained, but only if he can get outdoors. If he pees it’s a flood, I’m not good at building anything and would pay for it gladly. In the summer we leave it open, but in Colorado during the winter, it’s too cold.
The door jam crack needs a strip of insulation to keep out dust and wind. I tried this for a cat door, failed .... just hung a heavy blanket over the door and left it ajar... sheesh....but cats happy.
Pretty sure some weather stripping from Walmart will do the trick
I cant stand people posting videos and then don't respond. You don't have to read s million comments but least respond to the first 5 or 10. No manners .
