That s wild all the natural cymbal phasing etc. Don't know much you could do besides record riding cymbals separately which would be horrible musically. Hugh Padham said he would barely tickle the tape in order to keep the recording distortion free. What were they doing back in 82 to reduce tape hiss?

It's an AI program pulling the drum track from a stereo 2mix, not the actual drum stem from the recording. So you're getting all this nasty digital aliasing like on a low quality mp3.
