Playing a pitch knob by hand is really underutilized! It was all I did when a single VCO comprised my entire system in 2008, and I've lost sight of it :)
I’m a fan so all I say for now is that the patch makes me want to listen to Ghost Rider by Suicide. The live element here is both bold and fun - courage for everyday people! Thanks
Listening exercise: Three door keys bound by a ring, falling down the two steps in front of the door, lost forever as they slip through the rain drain.
i'm not sure if i'm remembering wrong but Phil Collins had discovered the gated reverb technique when using the talk back mic on the desk. they then used a compressor and gate to create the embellished sound.
Listening Exorcise: Nailing a scarecrow made out of a sack of small metal rings to a post using a shovel... last hit is the shovel dropping, like a mic drop for a job well done.
Gated reverb I’ve found difficult to pull off on spring reverb, but the echophone makes it quite simple when using the optomix2 and say akemies castle or the assimil8tor. Those are the modules o apply it to using the muxslicer and pressure points and brains as control modules
Right now I’m trying to employ the same technique with inverted ramps to mult out into an oscilloscope for vector rescanning simultaneously..(generate 3can easily do this)
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC it is I also employ the ducking technique from Colin bender but it’s much more difficult with glitch style drums instead of 4 on the floor
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC ... I've already tried a side chain random lowrate noise signal for long reverb, it also sounds interesting ... then also tried to break a long gate that controls the VCA into small pieces, as if the glass shattered, in the way that pieces of broken gate are getting shorter and shorter ... until lost ... but this one of yours also sounds bombshell!
That is how you make nice techno low end rumble my friend 😂 . Maybe attenuate some of those trigs down though lots of modulation clipping In that my man
Normally the clock rate is determined by the Time and Speed parameters, which also determine the length of the Dynamic Envelopes. When clocked externally, these parameters still control the length of the envelopes but that length is decoupled from the clock rate. Hope that makes sense!
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC yeah, in the meanwhile I figured it out with the help of some videos and experimentation I still don't quite get what happens when you've got both clocks going, but my guess is "mayhem"
Wow, I did not expect to open this video! Ofcourse I recognized it, but it didn't immediately sink in it was 'mine'. Thank you so much for sharing!
CONGRATULATIONS BROTHER !!!
Nice work!
Nice one!!
Woop woop! Well deserved mention as well! ✨
well deserved! love your channel!
This patch is a great answer to the ones who ask "why modular?" Amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Happy patching ⚡️
Chef's kiss sync with pitch knob. Thank you! Sound:frozen tinsel being agitated.

Love Cinematic Laboratory, love gated reverb, love the sound of a metal leaf rake being slapped against the driveway.
🥰
I love using gated "Hold" on the Mimeophon a lot with related clock divisions/multiplications. Lots of fun!
Wow, what an amazing patch. And I think the listening excercise is Mr. Cortini and Reznor in a hardware shop, measuring nails.
This is a fun one to visualize :)
Cinematic is awesome. My Mimeophon has been neglected lately, so this was a useful noodle (as usual).
Thanks for watching! Happy patching ⚡️
The sound, you are repairing something , popping some fasteners and a metal part drops out. Great patch and video.
Thanks!
Also: it was Phil Collins playing drums on that Peter Gabriel track ⚡️
True!
This!

yeah! definitely suicide like :)
When I had a spring reverb I would do gated reverb with maths all the time. Recently acquired a mimeophon and can’t wait to try this patch out!
Happy patching!!! ⚡️⚡️
Sounds like two swords running across each other. Great idea modulating various reverb parameters simultaneously.
That was some Top Gun level jamming - salute.🦑
Glad you enjoyed!

Awesome patch!

It's cruel putting out Mimeophon content when they haven't been available to buy for ages haha - I continue to wait patiently
Detroit Modular has some B-stock for sale. Happy Patching 😘
Listening Exorcise: Nailing a scarecrow made out of a sack of small metal rings to a post using a shovel... last hit is the shovel dropping, like a mic drop for a job well done.
I love the specificity!

awesome. thank you

excellent!
Thanks!

Listening exercise is a metal tipped broom being whacked against a radiator pipe.
Stay tuned!
I am slowly putting together a system. Maths a 0-CTRL are high on my list.
Happy patching!
Psst, silent Make Noise logo animation links to Cinematic Laboratory's RUclips channel
Thank you for noticing! Fixed :)
Was it the sound of dropping bits of chain while walking?
The mystery sound is a reverb tank hitting an actual gate. Oh the irony!
Listening exercise: Shakin' Stevens with a pocket full of jam pot lids.
Slightly off topic: Would it be too late to buy an Erbe Verb now? I’m considering getting one (impressed with its dark metallic sound)🤔
We still love the Erbe-Verb and you can do this with it too :)

That would be a 3D printer printing broken glass in a medium-sized open floor plan office
Listening exercise: Two cotton balls hitting some marshmallow
Going against the grain here, I like it!
Slapping an old metal leaf rake against the ground
Stay tuned!
Is that a new shirt design, blurred in the preview image until officially revealed?
Ha! It's supposed to look like there is reverb coming off the system with a very clearly defined boundary.
SELL US THE SHIIIIIRRRRRRT
Exercise sounds like like a metal trash can lid coming to a spinning stop after rolling down a paved road.
I like it 🗑
WHY THO?
I mean, I've never been able to completely understand how the 0ctrl works with an external clock.
Normally the clock rate is determined by the Time and Speed parameters, which also determine the length of the Dynamic Envelopes. When clocked externally, these parameters still control the length of the envelopes but that length is decoupled from the clock rate. Hope that makes sense!

Listening exercise: a tape measure being spooled out onto the ground.
Stay tuned!
Sound exercise: metal chopstick bouncing on a mountain dulcimer with paper clips attached to every single string
I like this one a lot ⚡️
Liquid swords.
Listening Exercise: sharpening a large cheap knife in a large metal sink
Stay tuned!
Listening exercise: dropping coins on wind chimes onto a metal table
Stay tuned!
Listening exercise: I'm hearing a metal kitchen whisk
I can envision it!
Noise sounds like an egg whisk played like a drum
Stay tuned!
Bike Pump Meets Bucket
Stay tuned!
Listening Exercise : Ball Bearing dropping through Steel Tube, bouncing on Metallic plate
Metaverse Pinball Lattice👽🌀🌀😎🤔🔱🇬🇧😎
I think this is the sound of broken glass
Stay tuned!
Listening Exercise, sounds to me like a big long rusty broken egg whisker whacking a big ol concrete brick
Fun to imagine!
pipe/bar being dropped
Stay tuned!

Heey @MAKEN0ISEMUSIC - are you still accepting submissions for music for this intro animation?
Yes! Haven’t checked for new ones in awhile, thanks for the reminder!
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC Awesome, thanks! 🤩 I'm going to submit one soon
