Sounds like such an amazing place. I look forward to visiting Death Valley and all that it has. Thanks for sharing your adventure and information. Take care!
It's true that you can't really see the pupfish at Devils hole but, I was thrilled to visit nonetheless. It has to be this way in order to protect these little guys. Before the cages and fences, there used to be vandalism that threatened the fish. I did see the ash meadows amargosa pupfish along the boardwalk. Also worth checking out is Shoshone, where they've worked to restore the habitat for the Shoshone pupfish, and I did see them! I usually visit Ash Meadows in July or August, and usually I'm the only one there, but I love the heat!
@ when you go, be sure to check out Dublin Gulch, old abandoned miner cave homes, dug into the sides of the little buttes nearby. Apparently, folks lived in these til the 1970s! Only one Motel, the Shoshone Inn which I would go back to Shoshone just to stay there again a really nice place. Of course, nearby Tecopa and China Date Ranch, (great Date Shakes,) and is the trailhead to the Amargosa River hike….ok, I’m gonna watch some more of your vids!

Definitely a place to schedule during cooler weather months. Our favorite time to visit is January. Happy travels!
Got it, thank you!

We'll check out the Shoshone pupfish habitat on our next visit to the area. Thanks for the tip and thanks for stopping by to watch!
