The full-size version of the Lebedev MPL pistol has 16 rounds. Both versions of the Lebedev pistol: MPL and PLC do not meet the requirements put forward by the Russian army. One of these requirements is the mandatory presence of an open trigger. For the Russian army, designer Kozlov created the Udav pistol. This pistol has an ammunition capacity of 18 rounds. Your example with the Beretta 92 having 15 rounds of ammunition does not make sense. The PLC is not an army pistol and is not an analogue of the Beretta 92. Only the MPL can be compared with army pistols of other countries. The Udav pistol uses a powerful 9x21 cartridge with an armor-piercing bullet and other army pistols will be inferior to it. In Russia, weapons are designed in accordance with the requirements presented by the customer. Weapon models created in violation of these requirements are not accepted into service.
