That ish is scary. I think that the lack of smaller ones to get used to makes it a little tougher. Out here in Colorado I've found a lot of pretty steep more advanced ones. I'll find some better ones no doubt. ✌🏽
I'm nearly 30 and just started skating a few months ago too. I've just been going to nice flat areas with no one around and just getting comfortable on the board. Having a few basic tricks you want to get down will help your progression. But mostly just have fun and don't worry about what other people think of you.
Mind making a quick "why you can't revert" video? Convinced it's something with my wheel (probably their hardness) at this point as I have to nearly tear my obliques to get it to budge
I remember learning that a couple months ago literally the scariest and maybe most painful trick I’ve learned so far good video and thanks for helping the skating community, your mad underrated ♥️
@@seanbrownskating of course dude you were one of the first you tubers I ever watched and seriously impacted my growth in skateboarding with the best tutorials on yt so thank YOU
Dropping in was a big mental leap for me. I started on 3ft ramps with no coping then spent weeks on top of weeks standing on top of a 6ft quarter pipe just looking down. One day, a older dude with his kid told me you just gotta do it. No other way to learn. And I did. And I nailed it! After a few more tries, I got it down 100%. Tallest drop in I've done is 8ft! Feels good man 😎
Thanks. Last week, I finally decided to drop-in on a scary section at my local bowl. I warmed up on smaller ramps, and when I finally decided to do it, I told 2 skaters I'd do it. I asked a good skater to do it right in front of me, and I asked a skate buddy to just stay next to me. This way, it was basically too late to chicken out, and I had to do it. I counted 5-4-3-2-1, took a deep breath, and finally dropped in. :D Thanks for the video.
bro ur so helpful man 👌👍 I actually have a question about ollies. whenever I try to do a ollie I half my back foot on the tail but when I go to pop it my foot slides the skateboard the other way, making me slip. do u know what I may be doing wrong?
That's interesting. Do you slip forward or backwards? The board will slide a little bit back when popping because it allows you to slide your front foot up the board better since it goes back. If you're slipping forward try leaning backwards more over the tail, and if you're slipping backwards try leaning over the nose more. The goal should be to stand straight up but sometimes you'll have to compensate. Let me know if I approached your problem correctly or not haha.

Yeah some parks just go OD with the height of their quarter pipes 😂
Just bought another board just yesterday. I’m 30 and getting back into skating. Scared but anxious. Watch your vids all the time.

It really is a test of how much you can face your fears
I'm gonna try this. 👍

When I try my drops, I gotta run up there really quick then go. If I sit up there for too long, it's over 😭😂
Exactly! You get in your head too much haha
@@seanbrownskating definitely lol

Ouch! Hope you recover quick!
Can’t drop in cause I’m scared bro.
I cover that in the video. It definitely is scary at first!
Istg I’m just getting pissed off im slamming into the board and I’m just eating shit I’ve tried over 15 times and my ass hurts
I understand that it's terrifying to drop in but after the first few drop in, it will become easy
Soooooo true!
Dropping in is easy is scary.
