      Kudos for the video content! Sorry for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Patlarny Games Earning Principle (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for treating varicose Veins without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend at very last got excellent results with it.

    Recently, I was diagnosed with a DVT and PE three weeks after flying. No history, no risk factors, statistically shouldn't have happened. Hospital doc could only estimate that COVID infection two weeks before the flight led to coagulation irregularity that left me vulnerable to DVT on XC / 6 hr flights.

    Tell me what kind of compression stocking I can use as a flight attendant. 🙏

    • @veronikaemil2
      @veronikaemil2 Год назад

      Using compression stocking all the time is not healthy- doctors don't advice them- reather do these exercises every hour and put your legs above your heart level for 5 mins every hour. If you can lay on your back- and do some cycling movements on the back- is the best. And hydrate, hydrate and hydrate.

    Many thanks for the video. Two weeks too late for me, but well noted. I have a real, live question for you:
    If you travel (let's say on a 12-hour flight), and experience a DVT/pulmonary embolism (let's say, peripheral location, but both lungs), there is a 50% chance it occurs after your outward journey. I imagine most people want to return home when they are unwell, so once you are stabilized on your anti-coagulant treatment (let's say, after 1 week of Xarelto [rivaroxaban]), how long should you wait before attempting to return home (i.e. by plane)? And should you just keep pacing up and down the plane, drinking water for the entire 12 hours? Many thanks.

      Hi Tim thanks for commenting, slightly more difficult question to what I am used to on RUclips. Will find out more information and get back to you via Twitter message.

    • @francetim
      @francetim 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Abraham. Your answer may be helpful to others in the future. In my case, after an initial two weeks of anti-coagulant treatment I have been declared 'fit to fly' by my doctors in Thailand and can return home to the UK. They told me the standard policy is to allow PE sufferers to fly after a minimum of five days anti-coagulant treatment, but in my case extended it to two weeks because of some persistent chest pain/signs.
      BTW, I am also really grateful to Thai Airways, who allowed me to upgrade to business class for the journey back to London, given the circumstances.

    Why would you wear tight socks but then wear loose clothes? Seems antithetical to me.

    • @veronikaemil2
      @veronikaemil2 Год назад

      These socks are thighter at the bottom- and less and less tighter higher up- with that they suppose to help the back and up flow of the blood. But there are different legs- and if your leg is not a standard one- they can work against the blood flow- so you have to ask for a tailered compressure sock only for you. Or not to wear any.
